WOMEN LIKE US CWTF’s Women Like Us programs will give opportunity to like minded women in the sport of hunting and fishing. They will be encouraged and educated by experienced outreach mentors of the CWTF, through our many programs and sponsored events. “Through the WLU program I got to go on my first turkey hunt with my friend Melissa. I bagged a bird, but sitting in the blind listening to the gobbles as the sun came up is what really got me hooked. TRAP AND RELEASE The CWTF chapters in Manitoba have had the opportunity to take part in multiple trap and transfer releases, organized by Manitoba Sustainable Development and local Game and Fish Clubs. Nuisance Wild Turkeys are trapped either from a town or farmer’s property, and relocated into areas where the populations will thrive and spread out in the proper habitat. Avoiding population demise, property damage and human-animal conflict. CWTF chapters The Muddy Water Longbeards (Winnipeg, Manitoba) and The Southwest Strutters (Brandon, Manitoba) are excited to further involve themselves in the program by assisting with costs and volunteer time.
