1. Doi Inthanon National Park / Chiang Mai<br />

Doi Inthanon National Park, nicknamed “the roof of Thailand”, is<br />

in the Thanon Thong Chai Range, Chom Thong District, Chiang<br />

Mai Province, northern Thailand. It includes Doi Inthanon, the<br />

country’s highest mountain.<br />

2. Huai Nam Dang National Park /<br />

Chiang Mai<br />

The 180-square-kilometer national park in Mae Taeng district,<br />

blessed with mountainous terrains and verdant forest, is the<br />

favorite destination among cool-weather and photography lovers<br />

during the winter time. They rise to the top of Huai Nam Dang<br />

Viewpoint at Doi Kiew Lom to overlook a stunning scene when<br />

the peak of Doi Chiang Dao emerges from the sea of fog in the<br />

morningg hours. Nearby attractions include Pong Nam Ron Tha<br />

Pai (hot spring) and Namtok Mae Yen (waterfall), all located in<br />

Mae Hong Son. Camping is allowed but visitors must bring their<br />

own camping equipments and food.<br />

Doi Chiang Dao, also known as Doi Luang<br />

Chiang Dao, is a 2,175 m high mountain<br />

in Chiang Dao District of Chiang Mai<br />

Province, Thailand. It is one of the highest<br />

peaks of the Daen Lao Range on the Thai<br />

side of the border.<br />

3. Phu Chi Fa Forest Park /<br />

Chiang Rai<br />

One of the most famous destinations uphill<br />

in Chiang Rai, especially during winter time,<br />

when visitors try to reach its cliff that offers<br />

spectacular views of the valley and sea of<br />

mist at sunrise. Phu Chi Fa is blessed with<br />

breathtaking views, abundant flowers of all<br />

colors, and cool weather most of the year.<br />

Plus, it is not far, located approximately 25<br />

kilometers south of Doi Pha Tang in Thoeng<br />

District. Visitors are also welcomed to stay<br />

overnight at Ban Rom Fa Thong and Ban<br />

Rom Fa Thai.<br />

5. Khao Chang Phueak /<br />

Kanchanaburi<br />

Khao Chang Phueak is a mountain within<br />

Thong Pha Phum National Park in Kanchanaburi,<br />

Thailand. Khao Chang Phueak<br />

is 1,249 meters in elevation and it is the<br />

third highest mountain in Kanchanaburi.<br />

For adventurous travelers, trekking to one<br />

of three major waterfalls: Namtok Chokkadin<br />

, Namtok Pha Pae and Namtok ChetMit<br />

can be a thrilling experience. A four-wheel<br />

drive car and hired guide will be needed.<br />
