Term study tour to South Africa,<br />

Botswana, and Namibia<br />

with Carthage College.<br />

and diverse culture, the<br />

“Economics and Business in<br />

Southern Africa” study tour<br />

offered students a journey.<br />

Southern Africa is a great<br />

mix of fast developing economies,<br />

adventure, beauty and<br />

culture. Students met with<br />

famous economists, business<br />

people, writers and artists.<br />

The study tour also included<br />

wildlife safaris, visits to dramatic<br />

river gorges and majestic<br />

mountains, and sailing by<br />

the famous Skeleton Coast<br />

on a luxury cruise.<br />

earn places on dean’s list<br />

Orland Park students have<br />

been named to the dean’s list<br />

at Clemson University for<br />

the fall 2016 semester. They<br />

are Jennifer Marie Forkin,<br />

who is majoring in general<br />

engineering, and Matthea J.<br />

Wong, who is majoring in<br />

biochemistry.<br />

To be named to the dean’s<br />

list, a student achieved a<br />

grade-point average between<br />

3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.<br />

Trinity Christian College<br />

Orland Park students among<br />

those named to dean’s list<br />

Jeremy Slager, of Orland<br />

Park, recently was named<br />

to the dean’s list at Trinity<br />

Christian College for the fall<br />

2016 semester. The dean’s<br />

list at Trinity is the highest<br />

academic honor for a<br />

semester, achieved only by<br />

students who have earned a<br />

3.5 grade point average for<br />

the semester.<br />
