These responses do not represent quality sources of information, and consequently they have been excluded from further analysis 3. Qualitative Comments from STEP 2 Of the 82 respondents, 41 people (50%) provided detailed comments addressing their particular disagreements with the Final Master Plan. Table summarising the comments from STEP 1. Responses have been colour-coded to allow direct correlation of the groupings with the quantitative results shown the pie chart on page 1. The responses that require most consideration are shaded in green. Comments from the Other category have not been included in the table.. Two sub-groupings of the comments are relevant. The largest group (shown in green) are classified as consistent, meaning that all comments address the same underlying issue – parking. Within this group there is a mixture of both supportive comments and disagreement. However, despite the fact that some of the responses are negative, they are all presented constructively and are focused on solutions. It is recommended that these suggestions be considered moving forward. Satisfying these concerns effectively brings those in general agreement with the final Master Plan into complete alignment. The slightly smaller group (shown in yellow are classified as inconsistent because they all address different issues, each with a very small number of respondents (less than 5% of the total number of responses for each issue). Even though there are some supportive responses in this group, few specific suggestions have been made. In view of the small number of respondents in each category, no further consideration is required by Council. - - - - - -
4. Recommendations Data received as part of this consultation permit 2 main recommendations to be made: 1. Majority support of the Masterplan by the community means that detailed design can proceed without further community input. 2. Re-consideration of the reduction of car-parking within the park will likely reduce minority resistance to the Masterplan.
