<strong>the</strong> kids <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> car <strong>an</strong>d set out to<br />

visit a neighbor<strong>in</strong>g state. I use to<br />

travel <strong>the</strong>re regularly. My great<br />

Auntie is gett<strong>in</strong>g up <strong>the</strong>re <strong>in</strong> age,<br />

As a writer, places that have<br />

me<strong>an</strong><strong>in</strong>g to you <strong>of</strong>ten appear as a<br />

backdrop dur<strong>in</strong>g your creative<br />

process. I am lucky to have a rich<br />

history where I c<strong>an</strong> draw on my<br />

travels to aid me with location<br />

sett<strong>in</strong>gs for my fictional creations.<br />

is a state where a character<br />

orig<strong>in</strong>ates from <strong>in</strong> one <strong>of</strong> my short<br />

stories <strong>in</strong> my Rom<strong>an</strong>ce <strong>an</strong>thology<br />

<strong>The</strong> Confid<strong>an</strong>t Tells. Yes, it is <strong>the</strong><br />
