Chief Creator <strong>an</strong>d Editor
Hello 2018<br />
<strong>In</strong> first quarter, I have two new<br />
titles to release. With more to<br />
come during <strong>the</strong> course <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
year.<br />
Also, I am introducing a publishing<br />
arm where authors who w<strong>an</strong>t<br />
help bringing <strong>the</strong>ir book to<br />
publication c<strong>an</strong> use our services.<br />
I have two (2) authors who will be<br />
debuting <strong>the</strong>ir titles under <strong>the</strong><br />
publishing umbrella.<br />
I will continue making<br />
appear<strong>an</strong>ces at different venues<br />
throughout <strong>the</strong> year. I am always<br />
looking to gain new readership<br />
while creating awareness about<br />
my catalogue.<br />
Things are going to be a bit hectic,<br />
but it’s nothing that I c<strong>an</strong>not<br />
h<strong>an</strong>dle.
Art & Craft Show<br />
I was very excited to participate in<br />
<strong>the</strong> Latimer Hall Art <strong>an</strong>d Craft<br />
Show. Unfortunately, <strong>the</strong> wea<strong>the</strong>r<br />
kept patrons away but I was able<br />
to make a few connections with<br />
<strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r vendors who were in<br />
attend<strong>an</strong>ce.<br />
<strong>The</strong>y were all quite creative <strong>an</strong>d I<br />
was impressed with <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
products.
Movie <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Year<br />
<strong>The</strong> much <strong>an</strong>ticipated movie <strong>of</strong><br />
2018 is <strong>The</strong> Bl<strong>an</strong>k P<strong>an</strong><strong>the</strong>r. It was<br />
created by Marvel Studios <strong>an</strong>d<br />
Disney. Audiences around <strong>the</strong><br />
world stood in line to see it. I have<br />
to admit I was one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m.<br />
Actually, I did <strong>an</strong> adv<strong>an</strong>ce ticket<br />
purchase more th<strong>an</strong> once to view<br />
it a couple <strong>of</strong> times during<br />
opening weekend.<br />
<strong>The</strong> experience gave me such a<br />
good feeling <strong>of</strong> pride <strong>an</strong>d unity<br />
with all o<strong>the</strong>r movie goers. Of<br />
course, I am not going to review<br />
<strong>the</strong> film for those who have not<br />
seen it <strong>an</strong>d intend to go. It was a<br />
wonderful f<strong>an</strong>tasy movie that I<br />
believe <strong>an</strong>yone who w<strong>an</strong>ts to see<br />
it would appreciate.<br />
A small group met at Cinebistro<br />
which is a dinner <strong>an</strong>d a movie<br />
type <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ater for a late<br />
afternoon matinee on opening<br />
day <strong>an</strong>d we all enjoyed ourselves.
Online Video Course<br />
Throughout my travels, I<br />
encounter writers who are on <strong>the</strong><br />
journey to becoming published<br />
authors <strong>an</strong>d <strong>the</strong> one question that<br />
I get all <strong>the</strong> time is “How to get to<br />
<strong>the</strong> finish line?”<br />
Finally, I took <strong>the</strong> time to outline<br />
in video a format, a guide for<br />
writers to get <strong>the</strong>ir stories to<br />
completion as well as launch <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
first book all by <strong>the</strong>mselves.<br />
My online video course is now<br />
available for enrollment. <strong>The</strong><br />
course gives some basic<br />
guidelines as well as a step-bystep<br />
tutorial to launch a book on<br />
<strong>the</strong> Amazon platform.<br />
Once a student enrolls he or she<br />
will have unlimited access to <strong>the</strong><br />
course for <strong>the</strong> period <strong>of</strong> one year.
An Evening in North Carolina<br />
Travelling with friends is always a<br />
good thing. My long time friend <strong>of</strong><br />
nearly twenty years asked me to<br />
take a road trip to a concert in<br />
North Carolina. Of course, I am<br />
always ready for a new adventure<br />
<strong>an</strong>d happily accomp<strong>an</strong>ied him.<br />
We drive through Friday<br />
afternoon traffic to arrive in<br />
Charlotte, North Carolina at <strong>the</strong><br />
Bechtler Museum <strong>of</strong> Modern Art.<br />
Its <strong>the</strong>ir first Friday <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> month<br />
Jazz night <strong>an</strong>d <strong>the</strong> featured<br />
musici<strong>an</strong> is Frederic Yonnet. He is<br />
a world-renowned Harmonica<br />
player.<br />
<strong>The</strong> four-piece b<strong>an</strong>d was<br />
outst<strong>an</strong>ding as each member was<br />
allowed to shine. Mr. Yonnet’s<br />
perform<strong>an</strong>ce was masterful,<br />
magnetic, electric, <strong>an</strong>d engaging.<br />
He had <strong>the</strong> audience entr<strong>an</strong>ced<br />
by his melodic rhythm like a pied<br />
piper lurking mice down a<br />
cobblestone road in a fairy tale.<br />
He was worth <strong>the</strong> trip.
Circus Time<br />
Well, I do not know about you,<br />
but it has been a long time since I<br />
went to <strong>the</strong> circus. My<br />
gr<strong>an</strong>dbabies are always looking<br />
for me to take <strong>the</strong>m on a new<br />
adventures so I took <strong>the</strong>m all<br />
under <strong>the</strong> big top.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Universoul Circus came to<br />
town as it does every year. Oddly<br />
enough, I have never experienced<br />
<strong>the</strong>ir br<strong>an</strong>d before now. Needless<br />
to say, it was a treat for all <strong>of</strong> us.<br />
All <strong>of</strong> my gr<strong>an</strong>dchildren were in<br />
attend<strong>an</strong>ce. Needless to say, <strong>the</strong>y<br />
were fascinated by <strong>the</strong> all <strong>the</strong><br />
sights <strong>an</strong>d sounds.<br />
It was colorful, interactive, <strong>an</strong>d<br />
exhilarating under <strong>the</strong> big tent. I<br />
have to say, it was <strong>the</strong> best circus<br />
ever.
Library <strong>Author</strong> Expo<br />
<strong>The</strong> DeKalb County Public Library<br />
held a local author expo <strong>an</strong>d I was<br />
lucky enough to be included to<br />
get exposure.<br />
<strong>The</strong>re were thirty-two authors<br />
present from debut to seasoned<br />
to best-selling to author books<br />
being adapted to film. I was in<br />
good comp<strong>an</strong>y.<br />
A const<strong>an</strong>t flow <strong>of</strong> library patrons<br />
who showed plenty <strong>of</strong> interest<br />
<strong>an</strong>d made purchases enh<strong>an</strong>ced<br />
<strong>the</strong> experience.<br />
We learned about <strong>the</strong> ways to<br />
pitch books to <strong>the</strong> library as well<br />
as what goes into a library’s<br />
decision-making process to<br />
choose books for <strong>the</strong> general<br />
public.<br />
Th<strong>an</strong>k you to <strong>the</strong> programming<br />
administrator for <strong>the</strong> inclusion as<br />
well as to everyone who<br />
purchased one or more <strong>of</strong> my<br />
books.
Have you made your<br />
Spring Reading List?<br />
W<strong>an</strong>t to add something fresh<br />
<strong>an</strong>d new to your Winter reading<br />
list. <strong>The</strong> Adventures <strong>of</strong> John,<br />
James <strong>an</strong>d Jack Series soo<strong>the</strong>s<br />
your soul if you are a coming <strong>of</strong><br />
age f<strong>an</strong>. <strong>The</strong> Confid<strong>an</strong>t Tells is a<br />
contemporary rom<strong>an</strong>ce with a<br />
bit <strong>of</strong> spice. I Hate Him is <strong>the</strong><br />
story <strong>of</strong> a relationship destine<br />
to fail from <strong>the</strong> start but it takes<br />
nearly two decades to end. Or<br />
you take a ride on <strong>the</strong> wild side<br />
<strong>an</strong>d discover everything <strong>the</strong>re is<br />
to know about my new<br />
suspense thriller Charlie <strong>the</strong><br />
Hood Houdini. Any way you<br />
slice it, <strong>the</strong>re is something for<br />
everyone in your household.<br />
None <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m are <strong>the</strong> same <strong>an</strong>d<br />
all <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m will take you on a<br />
journey that you would not<br />
expect.

Brenda <strong>an</strong>d Richard have a twenty year relationship<br />
with <strong>the</strong> normal ebbs <strong>an</strong>d flows. One day Brenda<br />

Richard by her side. She w<strong>an</strong>t to be her own wom<strong>an</strong>.<br />
Without consideration for her current commitments,<br />
she goes <strong>of</strong>f to begin again. Brenda will no longer be<br />
<strong>the</strong> victim <strong>of</strong> shattered dreams <strong>an</strong>d missed<br />

she is going for <strong>the</strong> brass ring.<br />
John, James, <strong>an</strong>d Jack make it through <strong>the</strong> high school<br />
