The five seasoned, well-respected musicians comprising TUSK have been making music together in various combinations and styles, in original outfits and in cover bands, for over twentyfive years. It seemed only fitting that they should come together to form the Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute, and pay homage to a group that dominated the charts during the band members’ formative years. Authentic-sounding and always respectful, TUSK replicates the sounds of one of the world’s best-loved, top-selling bands. 33rd Annual Melbourne Art Festival Held In Wickham Park Saturday & Sunday, April 22 & 23, 9am - 5pm Let’s not forget: There is a giant art show attached to this beforementioned music festival! Over 250 artists will have their work on display and for sale. What sets the Melbourne Art Festival apart from other art & craft fairs is the quality of artists who were selected by a committee and compete for serious prize awards. This is a top ranked fine art show with knowledgable jurors, art workshops, student competition, a kids world that circles around the arts and more. The event is a community effort by an all volunteer group. It also includes a popular 5 K run, a food court, and continuous entertainment. There is free admission, no parking fees, no concert tickets for sale. This is a free event from the community for the community, and to make Melbourne a better place to live. It also has a scholarship fund to foster young aspiring talent in our town. The Melbourne Art Festival started out in Indialantic, and after a few years, it had outgrown the locality. The show was moved to downtown Mel- bourne where it was held until last year. With more businesses moving in during the past years space became tighter, free parking was a problem, and there was no other solution but to move the festival again, this time to the scenic and very large Wickham Park that will have plenty of room for artist booths, all artistic activities, free parking etc. Every year the MAF is looking for volunteers, also on the days of the event. If you want join the community spirit, all you need to do is participate. You can also become a “Patron of the Arts” and enjoy a package with perks, parties, and art vouchers. Over 250 artists will display their work during the Melbourne Art Festival in Wickham Park, among them John Kellum (left), Christina Glennon (bottom left), and Chris Doherty (below).
