Supervised Playgrounds
There is NO CHARGE for participation in this program. Playgrounds are open to school-aged children ages five and older.
Three city-sponsored playgrounds are staffed by supervisors who are trained to offer fun activities for children. The
School District of Marinette will provide FREE breakfast and lunch at all sites throughout the summer. Playgrounds will
be open for the season June 12 through August 17. Children are free to come and go as they wish, so parents should
plan accordingly. This is not a substitute for daycare. It’s an opportunity for supervised play for school-aged children.
Playground hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Supervised playgrounds are located at Fred
Carney Park (230 Ogden Street), the Duer Gym (402 Williams Street) and at Higley Field (2001 Carney Avenue).
