stuck in and if we don’t do that then we’re
very limited and not good enough. Mentality
wise, we weren’t smart enough and came
with a poor attitude, so I’m pretty disgusted
with the first half. We tried to come up with
a response in the second half but once you
leave yourself chasing a
game like that, it only takes
a couple of small things
to upset your rhythm and
there were a lot of those in
the second half.
“That’s probably over the
course of the game the
worst 80 minutes we’ve
put together and we’ve
only lost on goal kicks so as
down as I am I’m not feeling
too bad cause we probably
won’t play worse than that.”
Looking ahead to the York
game, Lee also said that
while they will target the
game as a win, it is down
to the players to come
with the right mindset: “We
target every game as a win. We’ve done that
for two seasons previous and we’ll continue
to do that. We as coaching staff will put the
effort in behind the scenes to put a plan in
place. We’ll do the right things in training
that should help the team win but we
obviously need the players
to do their part as well. But
the way we are, we need
the whole squad to commit
and turn up with the right
attitude.”
The visitors are boosted
with the addition of former
Hull FC winger Callum
Lancaster, who could be in
line for a debut against the
Golden Fern. The 20-yearold,
who stormed onto
the Super League back
in 2014 with eight tries in
five games, has signed on
a trial basis with a view for
a permanent contract. Hull
centre Nick Rawsthorne
also extended his loan deal
this week.
