PITSFORD RANGERS F.C CLUB HISTORY<br />
The club was formed in 2013 by Richard Sultana and Alex Evenden<br />
after leaving Thorplands United, and wanting a fresh start at<br />
running a club our own way. With only 5 players at the start of the<br />
summer we ended up with over 30 players and managed to run 2<br />
teams in our first season playing out of Pitsford.<br />
Season 1 saw a mixed bag with the 2 teams trying to establish<br />
themselves and players trying to gel. The first team finished 7 th out<br />
of 9 teams in Division 3, also winning the Junior Plate beating Park<br />
Royal 2-1 in the final. The Reserves finished 9 th out of 11 and got to<br />
the semi-finals of the junior plate losing to the first team.<br />
Season 2 saw an improvement with the First team finishing 7 th out<br />
of 11 in Division 2 and the Reserves finishing 11 th out 13, with both<br />
teams finishing with higher points than the previous year.<br />
Season 3 saw another points improvement with the firsts finishing<br />
4 th out of 9 in Division 1 and the Reserves finishing 7 th out of 11 in<br />
Division 3, but<br />
another year with no cup success.<br />
This season has seen the club field 1 team and has had a mixed<br />
season. Currently sitting 9 th out of 11 in League 1 but having<br />
reached the quarter finals of the NTFA cup, runners up in the NFA<br />
Sunday vase and finalists in the <strong>David</strong> <strong>Ferguson</strong> League <strong>Cup</strong>… we<br />
are hoping to go one better and win a second bit of silverware for<br />
the club tonight.<br />
