PARKLANDS PHOENIX - CLUB INFORMATION
Formed in 2013 after Northampton Phoenix FC struck up a partnership
with Parklands Tigers FC Youth team to form Parklands Phoenix FC.
This was done with the aim to help feed youth players into senior
football with the senior side benefiting from some fresh energetic legs
each season.
After finishing 3 rd in the 2013/2014 season the club found itself being
promoted in 3 consecutive years before establishing ourselves in the
Championship for the last two seasons.
After reaching the semi-final of the league competition last year we are
now eager to bring home the clubs first piece of silverware in the form
of the Allan Dimmer Cup!

4-1 v Hartwell Forest Res
3-1 v Ise Lodge
Semi Final
PARKLANDS PHOENIX - CUP FINAL SQUAD
Rich Hunt - joined Phoenix this season he has a steady pair of hands
and is a good shot stopper. Has a punch only second to Joshua.
Lewis Godbolt - energetic full back who has been ever present since
the formation of the club. Looks good in the shower, apparently?
Matthew Bouchier (Boosh) - Cool, calm and collected, a good old
fashioned defender. I believe not as good looking as Lewis in the
shower.
Matthew Schofield (Schof) - solid at the back. Plays like Tony Adams,
drinks like Adams
Damon Seymour (Damo) - Plays anywhere along the back. Often thinks
he's the keeper!

James Sedgwick (Sedge) - Clubs experienced defender, solid at the
back and popped up with the winner in the semi.
James Heath - New this year after moving from Ireland, picked up the
game quicker than the language.
Matthew Down - but not out!! Power in midfield driving us forward
Aaron Seymour - playing the game with a smile but don't let that fall
you. Provides the legs in midfield alongside Matt.
Marc Beezley - came a man this season coming up from the youth
team, Parklands Tigers FC. Still buying slip on boots.
Alex Godbolt - experienced member of the squad, happy to voice his
opinion AKA "Gobby".
Dan North - hard working, prolific goal scorer. Works hard for the team
Stuart Harman - Phoenix top goal scorer for the last 3 years running.
Lives off Northy's assists.
Jack Whiting - adaptable player who can play a telling forward pass.
Aiden Brent - Hall a calm solid defender who can play anywhere across
the back.
Kieran Brown - a late addition to the team who brings pace and
balance to the squad.
Rob Paul - Player Manager after taking the team on this year, unfortun
ately he's on the team sheet tonight.
Matt Paul - Assistant Manager stepping down from manager, but
happy to share his (limited) knowledge.

ASHBY ATHLETIC – TEAM PHOTO
ASHBY ATHLETIC – CLUB INFORMATION
Ashby Athletic FC was founded in 2015 by Mark Jones (Manager
and Team Secretary) and David Williams (Club Chairman). A
Sunday league side who have nearly completed our third season in
the Nene Sunday League. We won the Alan Dimmer trophy in our
first season, worked hard for our second season in a higher division
than we perhaps should have been, and have used the current
season to rebuild and regroup. We have finished runners up in the
league and reached our second cup final in three seasons. We play
our home games at Mears Ashby with fantastic facilities, Club House
and post-match bar for families and friends. We have been
nicknamed the Tree Army or The Trees and our aim is not just to
play football but to contribute the local community and give
something back. To date we have raised just shy of £1,000 for
various charities in partnership with our extremely generous
sponsor, Creative Event Services.

Semi Final
4-2 v Sixfield Rangers Res

ASHBY ATHLETIC – CUP FINAL SQUAD
Matty ‘safe hands’ Roberts – Ashby’s Number 1 for this last season
and his first season playing in goal at this level has seen him go
from strength to strength. Commands the back four from his goal
line and has made the 18 yard box his own. Matty has grown in
confidence and is shaping up to be a extremely competent and
reliable goal keeper.
Graham Letts – Centre Back. Graham has been with the club since
we formed in 2015. He has only ever missed 2 games in three
seasons for the club demonstrating his gladiatorial reliability. G is
the backbone of the team and his passion and commitment has seen
him rise to the position of Vice Captain this season.
James Maloy – Centre Back. Along with G, Maloy has been a
constant presence in the Ashby side since formation in 2015. Other
than losing him for a while to a back injury there has been no
keeping him off the pitch. His commitment and dedication to the
cause are surpassed only by his slightly odd banter. A club legend.
Ben Currie – Centre Back/Left Back. Ben is one of our youngest
players coming through the youth team this little acorn has now
firmly become part of the Tree Army. Ben has matured as a person
and a player over the last couple of seasons and whilst his passion
for the game might mean that things still boil over from time to time
we wouldn’t have him any other way.
Mickey Clarke – Right Back/Wing Back. B has played under
manager Mark Jones for over 6 years in various teams. A reliable
and skilful player, he would be outstanding if he could stop taking
people on when he should be passing the ball. Having said that, this
is when he is at his most dangerous and much like Ben, we wouldn’t
have him any other way. His middle name is Barrington. Just saying.

Barbulescu Alexandru – Left Wing Back/Left Wing. Alex is one of
our Romanian imports and has been with the club since day one. He
had a brief period where he lost his head and went to join Oakley
Diamonds but soon saw the error of his ways and returned to the
Tree Army. Another player who is very passionate especially when
it comes to the suggestion that the referee may need an eye test of
some kind. As long as his fiery temperament is kept in check he is a
game changer. Has bagged many a worldie this season.
Tom Jullings – Central Midfield – Tom is our fearless Captain, he
has sailed this ship from the start and whilst may not be the most
vocal of skippers on the pitch, his input to individual players and
the Management Team provide an invaluable link between players
and management. An intelligent player who is just as likely to
outthink you tactically as he is to two-foot you into next week.
Matt Grant – Central Midfield – Matt is a machine, his tackles are
bone crunching but 67% of the time they are fair. Another player
who has the ability to change a game and is a real asset to our
midfield and our club. Matts work rate on and off the ball is second
to none which is probably why his normal end to a game is limping
off in the 70th minute with a different injury each week. Thankfully
he heals quickly and is always keen to go again. If only he would
shave off his silly facial hair. If you can’t grow it properly, don’t
grow it at all. Matt.
Alex Quatrine – Central Midfield/Attacking Midfield. Alex has
struggled with fitness slightly this season but you couldn’t tell to
look at how quick his feet are. Very often winning the ball in the
right areas of midfield, Alex scores as many goals as he sets up and
is a hugely talented player. Brings a whole new dimension to our
attack and I expect big things of him this Cup Final and next season.
Stefan Badaruta – Striker. Another of Ashby’s Romanian
contingent, Stef has had a previous playing career with many clubs

including Steaua Bucharest. His runs with the ball stuck to his foot
and gliding passed opponents show him to be a stand out player
and a cut above the rest. Extremely high goal scoring potential and
ability, Stef can turn games on his own and regularly lifts the team
with his energy and dedication. Scarily big hands. I mean look at
them, they’re massive.
Keith Clarry – Striker/Midfield. Keith joined the club this season
and after a bit of a shaky start has settled in well. A player of
immense talent but it’s clear his frustrations get the better of him
sometimes as he is expects excellence from himself 100% of the
time. Keith has scored some fantastic goals for Ashby and is highly
likely to have been involved in build-up play at one point or another
for the majority of the goals we have scored this season. Turns up
to each game in a different, brand new vehicle. We think he might
be Batman.
David Williams – Striker. Club Chairman and jellyfish, Dave could
miss any goal you put in front of him and has done so this season
without fail. However, to receive the amount of stick he does means
he must be on to something. His goal scoring record speaks for
itself. It’s just a shame it takes him 8 shots to score 1 goal, but
thankfully he equals approximately 30 shots a game and 6 ankle
injuries. We would just like to make it clear that the ‘Chairman’ has
no power and this is purely an administrative position.

Glen Smith – Striker. The housewives favourite has been part of the
Tree Army since its formation. Plagued with back injuries, Glen has
been side lined for more of the last two seasons than he would have
liked. However, he still manages to bag on the regular and can be
relied upon if he’s not quite drunk but not quite hungover, and has
had between two and four hours sleep, to change a game. Has been
attempting the same 360 turn and flick for the last 3 seasons
approximately 317 attempts and this season he actually pulled it off
once. Also the Clubs Head Tactician and a valued member of the
team.
Glen Bogle – Left Back. Glen has also been with us since day one
but has also suffered with a regular and debilitating shoulder injury.
After missing out on the Cup Final two years ago through injury he
decided to treat his body like a temple, which for Glen means eating
chicken and chocolate whilst watching Ryan Giggs Yoga DVD’s. An
asset to the team, however, Glens most famous moment as an Ashby
Athletic player came when he dressed as a cheerleader to support
the team on our famous Alan Dimmer triumph two years ago. What
a guy.
Daniel Hawksworth – Striker. Dan shows a level of commitment
and dedication to Ashby Athletic that is highly commendable and
quite rare these days. Not utilised as much as he once was, Dan still
does the job when called upon with no complaints and his goal
scoring ability speaks for itself. Dan scored the winning penalty to
bring home the Alan Dimmer trophy two years ago. He is a huge
part of the team and the Tree Army wouldn’t be the same without
Danno.

Lewis Gilkes – Striker/Midfield. Lewis is a relatively new
acquisition to the club, but he fit in straight away and hit the ground
running to break into the starting 11. Built like an absolute machine
and with a throw that has to be seen to be believed, Lewis brings a
real physicality to the side and also looks a bit like Jonny Bravo,
which is most amusing. Man he’s pretty.
