Glen Smith – Striker. The housewives favourite has been part of the
Tree Army since its formation. Plagued with back injuries, Glen has
been side lined for more of the last two seasons than he would have
liked. However, he still manages to bag on the regular and can be
relied upon if he’s not quite drunk but not quite hungover, and has
had between two and four hours sleep, to change a game. Has been
attempting the same 360 turn and flick for the last 3 seasons
approximately 317 attempts and this season he actually pulled it off
once. Also the Clubs Head Tactician and a valued member of the
team.
Glen Bogle – Left Back. Glen has also been with us since day one
but has also suffered with a regular and debilitating shoulder injury.
After missing out on the Cup Final two years ago through injury he
decided to treat his body like a temple, which for Glen means eating
chicken and chocolate whilst watching Ryan Giggs Yoga DVD’s. An
asset to the team, however, Glens most famous moment as an Ashby
Athletic player came when he dressed as a cheerleader to support
the team on our famous Alan Dimmer triumph two years ago. What
a guy.
Daniel Hawksworth – Striker. Dan shows a level of commitment
and dedication to Ashby Athletic that is highly commendable and
quite rare these days. Not utilised as much as he once was, Dan still
does the job when called upon with no complaints and his goal
scoring ability speaks for itself. Dan scored the winning penalty to
bring home the Alan Dimmer trophy two years ago. He is a huge
part of the team and the Tree Army wouldn’t be the same without
Danno.
