AFC HACKLETON - CLUB INFORMATION
Formed in 2010, AFC Hackleton are a local village side who were
formed to give the local residents a chance to play football locally.
The club has gone from strength to strength over the past 8 years,
and has enjoyed numerous promotions and also an Alan Dimmer
Cup victory in its short history. A club that prides itself on the work
it does in the local community, The Magpies hold a real
togetherness that has certainly helped the team in the run to this
year's David Ferguson Cup Final.
Management Team
Bert Nash – MANAGER
The AFC Hackleton Manager who has been in charge since half way
through the 2010/11 season. Massively respected by players and
supporters alike, Nash has led The Magpies to a number of different
promotions and an Alan Dimmer Cup victory during his reign.

AFC HACKLETON - CUP FINAL SQUAD
Ben Clarke - GOALKEEPER
Last year's Player of the Season has enjoyed another stellar
campaign. A real presence at the back, Clarke has put in some
superb match winning performances and produced some fantastic
saves over the course of the season.
Stuart Brown - DEFENDER
Quite simply, Mr Dependable. An extremely talented full back who
makes The Magpies a better team when he's in the side. A
composed defender who is always one of the first names on the
team sheet.
Steve King - DEFENDER
The oldest member of the AFC Hackleton squad, but arguably one of
the fittest! An extremely versatile defender who is comfortable
playing all across the back four, King is a vital member of the AFC
Hackleton squad.
Matt James - DEFENDER
A fantastic presence in central defence and a real leader in the team.
Better in the air than Andy Carroll and scores more than him too,
having scored 48 AFC Hackleton goals - here's hoping he makes it
50 tonight!
Tom Baker - DEFENDER
An accomplished central defender, who has vast experience in the
game. A defensive general who has been back to his very best this
season, after missing a lot of the recent campaigns through injury.
Bryn Taylor - DEFENDER
A no nonsense defender who loves a tackle nearly as much as he
loves a beer. Taylor has enjoyed his most impressive season to date
and has been able to add goals to his game this campaign, notching
a cool 11 goals from defence so far.

Christopher Keightley - DEFENDER
A very under-rated full back who has impressed in recent weeks
leading up to the Final. A former Player of the Year, 'Trev' will be
looking to maintain the form that saw him nail down his position at
left back.
Michael Watson - MIDFIELDER
An exciting youngster who seems to get better week after week.
Watson is a skilful winger, who is turning into a real fans favourite
after his impressive recent displays on the pitch (and in the pub). A
danger man and one to watch.
Phil Boyes - MIDFIELDER
AFC Hackleton's all-time leading appearance maker. A pacey winger
with an eye for goal, Boyes has enjoyed an impressive campaign on
Hackleton's right wing and is always a threat from outside the area.
Jamie Nash - MIDFIELDER
The Captain has been imperative in the clubs push for League and
Cup success since returning to the fold after Christmas. Always a
danger from set pieces, Nash registered his 50th AFC Hackleton
goal earlier in the season.
Robbie Watson - MIDFIELDER
A composed and gifted midfielder who has the ability to run a game.
Watson has made the switch from winger to central midfielder this
season with ease, and has chipped in with vital goals over the
course of the campaign.
George Payne - MIDFIELDER
A new signing for the 17/18 season, and has really impressed either
behind the striker or on the left hand side of midfield. Payne has
really shone during the run to the Final, and scored vital goals in the
Quarter and Semi Finals.
Thomas Sharif - MIDFIELDER

A tricky winger with flair and skill, Sharif has been an important
member of the AFC Hackleton squad over the past few seasons. A
player with raw ability and potential, and always has a goal of the
season contender in his locker.
Tom Brown - MIDFIELDER
The self-titled 'Midfielder Destroyer' has been back to his best after
returning to the side over recent weeks. A player with real ability
and will always look to make things happen from the middle of
midfield.
Daniel Porter - STRIKER
A special talent and one we are delighted to have playing for The
Magpies. The clubs all-time leading goal scorer, Porter adds so
much more to the team than goals, and he always looks for ways in
which he can influence a game.
Jamie Wilby - STRIKER
An integral part of the squad, who is just as important to the club off
the pitch as he is on it. A real character, and one of only 2 players to
have scored in every season of the clubs existence - a stat he doesn't
let us forget!

BAT & WICKET – TEAM PHOTO
BAT & WICKET – CLUB INFORMATION
The club was formed for the start of the 2010/11 by Matthew
Whitfield who joined together players from two teams who had
folded the previous season these teams was Real Pioneer and Punch
FC. In our first season we made it to the final of the Alan Dimmer
losing 3-2 to Eagles United.
The Following year we formed a reserve team and have had a
reserve team every year since. At the start of the 2016/17 Season
all the players from the first team had either left or dropped down
to play for the Reserves so with Grange Park Rangers folding due to
having no manager and Alex Rowlands lined up to manage the First
team the players from Grange Park joined to become our first team
under the management of Alex Rowlands who decided to leave after
his first season due to other commitments and Craig Townsend
came in to take over the management of the First Team.

While the first team had lot of success by making it to the prem, the
reserves didn't really see any progress until the 2015/16 season
which has saw the team winning the junior Plate and gaining
promotion in the last two seasons to the point where both the First
and Reserve team are playing in the same league.
MANAGER – Craig Townsend

BAT & WICKET – CUP FINAL SQUAD
Dean Gudgeon
Position: GK
Deans has played many positions over the years from striker to
centre midfield but his first season as a goalkeeper has been
amazing, known to pull off top draw saves weekly he’s been one of
the consistent performers this season for the club
Tyler George
Position: RB/RW
Tyler’s tireless work rate is second to none at the club; he’s a
adapted to the RB position with ease this season and is genuinely
one of the first names on the team sheet each week with his
consistent performances
Lee Coles
Position: Centre back
Lee is a fearless player with pace power and agility, a player that we
all love and look up to at the club and the club captain rarely
disappoints with his performances, a real leader of men
Jake Walker
Position: Centre back
Jakes ability to read the game comes from playing in various
positions over the years but the trust he and lee have at the back
helps keep that solid base the team needs, he’s good on the ball and
aggressive into tackles, a real warrior at the back

Aaron Shepherd
Position: LB
Aaron is a cool character with a great passing range, although this
might be sheps last season as a player he’s been a solid defender all
season and a big part of this team and will look forward to him
coming on to the management team next year
Adam Damrell
Position: LB
Having managed Adam for 5 years I’ve seen him develop into a real
talented young player and has now adapted to the men’s game with
his pace and agility he’s tracking and energy is a big asset in the
team and pops up with assists and goals each season now
Dan Oates
Position: RB/RM/CM
Dan often plays in numerous positions each season because he’s
versatility is a great asset to the team, can pop up with world class
strikes one week and defends a goal line clearance another, all
makes him a valuable addition to the team
Alex Tait
Position: CAM/CM
A player with flair and vision, at times makes the hard passes look
easy and has provided assists and a feel physical presence in the
forward areas of the pitch, also the clubs joker.. every changing
room needs one

Jack Grant
Position: Cm
Jack is a complete midfield player who can do the defensive side
and win the ball back but then go up the other end and create goals,
a real box to box midfielder
Craig Martindale
Position: DCM
The midfield enforcer, all heart and physicality he breaks up attacks
constantly and gets the team playing the right way, not just a big
challenger Craig is calm on the ball and has the ability to run and
pass as well, making him one of the first names on the sheet each
week
Adrian Langley
Position: CM/GK
Aidy loves to throw his weight around in the middle of the park
(there's plenty of it) an old school player who loves a good old
fashioned hard 50/50 challenge, Played as a goalkeeper for many
UCL sides but most recently for Earls Barton first team. As Vicecaptain
he’s a real talker on the pitch and someone that guides the
younger lads as he’s not afraid to open his mouth
Gary Stohrer
Position: RW/CM
Gary has been a star this season with not only his goals but his
assists and the way he brings players into the game has been
sensational, a player that the team looks up to and a genuinely nice
lad in the changing rooms, tireless work rate and that bit of star
dust every team needs

Brett Greenhalf
Position: CF
Brett is an old school centre forward big strong and battles for
everything, not many defensives get the better of him and can win
you games single handed with goals and his dominating of the back
line
Matt Bazeley
Position: LW
Matt has had a 2 year spell out with a ACL injury but joined the club
at Xmas and has been a steady performer over recent games and
hitting double figures for goals in such a short time with the club, a
promising young player who we hope to see some great seasons
with in the next few years
Harrison Rooney
Position: RW
Harrison is a technically gifted young player with confidence to take
players on and the ability to play neat football while still adding
goals to his game, consistency is the key with him but on his day can
be unplayable
Taylor Ferdinando
Position: ST
A real talented young player making his transition into the men’s
game, already showed he can score goals at this level just needs to
work on physicality and speed of the men’s game but a player we all
think will be a decent striker for the club over the next few years .
Self-proclaimed best looking player at the club.
