Encouraging the body to work naturally
The challenges and fast changing
demands of modern life can so occupy
our thoughts that we forget about the
most important consideration: ourselves,
and the importance of maintaining
our bodies so we can lead relaxed and
healthy lives.
Reflexology is a complementary
therapy that encourages the body to
work naturally to restore its
own balance.
A reflexologist does not claim to cure,
diagnose or prescribe. Reflexology is
based on the principle that all parts of
the body are reflected in the feet and
hands and by applying gentle pressure
to these areas it will have an effect on
the corresponding part of the body
and thus restore balance.
It is believed to have a history that
traces back 5,000 years to Ancient
Egypt, India and China. It was
introduced to the West in 1913 as ‘zone
therapy’ by Dr William Fitzgerald and
further developed by Eunice Ingham
in the 1930’s.
A reflexologist uses hands only to
apply gentle pressure to the feet.
For each patient, the application of
therapy is unique.
Sensitive, trained hands can detect
subtle changes in specific points on the
feet, in these areas the reflexologist will
work carefully to release the tension
and restore the flow of energy to the
whole system.
In doing this, tensions are eased,
elimination and circulation improved,
bringing about a feeling of relaxation
and wellbeing to the client. This gentle
therapy encourages the body to heal
itself at its own pace.
This therapy encourages the body to
heal itself after illness or injury; it is
extremely effective in relieving stress
and maintaining wellbeing once good
health has been restored.

they make uses only vegetable or
mineral ingredients, and they’re
extracted as naturally as possible.

sources whenever possible.
Everything they make has been
certified for safety by an independent
laboratory in accordance
with UK and EU regulations.
Their anti-animal testing policy is
clear (they don’t, at all, ever) and
they maintain a fied cut off date
of 1995 for all ingredients. They
are as sustainable as can be, using
glass bottles and HDPE – the most
recyclable plastic you can get.
