Director’s message
Great is thy faithfulness.
I greet you in the name of our Lord and I thank
the Almighty for having led us this far. Today we
have successfully ended our first term ever since
we took over this school last year. This is the year
when we effectively took charge and this has led
us to start initiating a number of activities within
our strategic focus. This year the school officially
became St. Andrew KaggwaGombe High
School, fulfilling the requirements of the Ministry of
Education and Sports. I thus thank all of you who
have given us the momentous initial support and
trust.
Management has been able to initiate programs
geared at creating a difference in the lives of our
children and I thank them so much. We have
seen early signs of having a school competing
at the top. To this effect, the school was able to
compete in the music competition code named
Buganda Royal Shield and Arts Festival where we

came third on top of winning some accolades
in some activities. The schoolbrass band played
anthems at KabakaMutebi’s 62ndbirth day at
Buloba High. This is not to mention a number of
in house activities geared at making our children
competitive. As promoters we will do what it takes
to make our students compete effectively.
We also wish to bring to your attention the three
year strategic plan 2017 - 2019. The strategic plan
placed all the three schools (Scooby-Doo Day
and Nursery School, Gombe Junior School, and
St. Andrew Kaggwa Gombe High School) under
the same vision and mission. The vision statement
being , “At the helm of producing competent,
responsible, self-reliant and flexible citizens”
while our mission states “To provide quality holistic
education that fosters creativity, critical thinking
and collaboration to produce competent global
citizens.”
This aims at producing a holistic child through
the adherence to our core values as follows;
God Fearing, Respect, Integrity, Team Work and
Excellence.
Below is a summary of the strategic goals we
ought to achieve by 2019.
A culture that promotes our core values.
Engaging stakeholders and seek to meet their
desired expectations.
A broad and balanced continuously enriched
curriculum.
A self-sustainable financial base with proper
accountability and management.

environment.
Policies that encourage and support
financial and professional growth of staff.
Adherence to well laid policies,
procedures and a streamlined System.
All the above is to ensure Schools with a
difference, and competetive in the global
arena.
We thus call for the support of all various
stakeholders to ensure we realize this.
In this holiday, we need to involve our
students in productive activities within our
home/work. Can we start early entrusting
our dear ones with some responsibilities
at home? Can you start sharing with them
their future? Can you make arrangements
for them to visit some of the people in
the environment whom they see as role
models? A good number of the students
need your support to be focused.
Lastly, we request you to keep eyes on
them such that they are not attracted into
activities which will negatively impact on
their future.
