3. I was kept in <strong>the</strong> Istanbul prison <strong>for</strong> 6 weeks <strong>and</strong> had several interrogation<br />
procedures, same questions, but all <strong>were</strong> friendly <strong>and</strong> without any pressure or<br />
roughness. However, upon my questioning <strong>the</strong>m why I was imprisoned, <strong>the</strong> reply<br />
was<br />
that I had no Turkish visa.<br />

I believe that I owe my life to a Turkish man named Simon Brod who arranged to<br />
supply food <strong>and</strong> water to <strong>the</strong> vessel during its stay in Istanbul Harbour <strong>for</strong> 71 days.<br />
Also, while I was in prison, he arranged with a restaurant nearby to supply every<br />
day food delivered to me at <strong>the</strong> prison. Upon my release from prison, he purchased<br />
<strong>the</strong> ticket <strong>and</strong> took me to <strong>the</strong> railway station <strong>for</strong> departure to Aleppo.<br />
5) Could you tell me about <strong>the</strong> ship's journey along <strong>the</strong> Bosporus coming <strong>and</strong> going?<br />
While waiting on <strong>the</strong> ship as it was towed to <strong>the</strong> Istanbul Harbor or on <strong>the</strong> journey,<br />
