of hope, basically out of hell heading into paradise. The journey outbound was of<br />

horror, unbelieving that this return into <strong>the</strong> Black Sea could happen, to all it was an<br />

extremely morbid sensation.<br />

There <strong>were</strong> no helping h<strong>and</strong>s in or out, except supplies arranged by Mr. Simon Brod<br />

<strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> Red Crescent. At all time, <strong>the</strong> ship was in quarantine, <strong>the</strong>re was no<br />

communication with <strong>the</strong> outside world at any time except some smuggled messages.<br />
