GEORGIAN MANOR REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT STATUS REPORT ISSUE 2 | SPRING | <strong>2011</strong><br />
SITE SERVICING<br />
NEARING COMPLETITION<br />
• <strong>Georgian</strong> <strong>Village</strong> Underground works<br />
have been ongoing since last October.<br />
Site forces have pushed forward despite<br />
having been held up by severe weather<br />
last winter.<br />
• Now that it appears <strong>Spring</strong> is upon us,<br />
construction teams have started the<br />
building’s foundation. <strong>Georgian</strong> <strong>Village</strong>’s<br />
first foundation pour occurred on March<br />
16th at “Block A”, the <strong>Village</strong>s main<br />
Rendezvous area. Foundation excavation<br />
work and pouring of footings and piers will<br />
continue through to the Fall.<br />
CIVIL WORK STATUS<br />
Storm Sewer<br />
• Main is largely completed<br />
• Site SWM pond has been roughly excavated and is currently functioning<br />
• Swales on the West side of the site are rough graded and functioning to collect site runoff<br />
• Temporary access culverts for Thompsons Rd are in place and permanent access culvert at Edward St is in place<br />
Sanitary Sewers are complete with the exception of Building D).<br />
Water Main is largely complete with the exception of connection to Building B<br />

Below Grade Construction<br />
The footings, foundations, and pier Excavation is underway<br />
at Block A — The <strong>Georgian</strong> Rendezvous (<strong>Village</strong> Centre)<br />
and <strong>Georgian</strong> Manor Administration Services. Once<br />
completed near April’s end, this crew will continue to Block<br />
B — <strong>Georgian</strong> Manors Facility Services, then Block C —<br />
<strong>Georgian</strong> Manor’s North Resident Wings, and finally, Block<br />
D– <strong>Georgian</strong> Manor’s South Resident Wings.<br />
Simultaneously, by mid-April, a second crew will begin<br />
below Grade Construction at Block G — The <strong>Georgian</strong><br />
Residences (Assisted Living), then Block F — The<br />
<strong>Georgian</strong> Suites (Life Lease Apartments), and finally Block<br />
E—<strong>Georgian</strong> Terraces (Affordable Housing).<br />
Foundation walls were slated to begin April 11, and similarly<br />
<strong>Georgian</strong> Rendezvous<br />

<strong>Georgian</strong> <strong>Village</strong>’s Internal Ring Road will begin receiving<br />
it’s base course asphalt as plants opening this May and<br />
complete by Mid-June.
