<strong>Scout24</strong> invites entries for the first Mobile Application Award for creative<br />

minds - last date for entries 31 December 2009<br />

Munich, 18 November 2009 – Normally users search for the best match in the<br />

<strong>Scout24</strong> marketplaces. Now the tables are turned. Because as of today <strong>Scout24</strong><br />

is searching – for the winner of the first <strong>Scout24</strong> Mobile Application Awards.<br />

The Mobile Application Award<br />

Every entrant is given n the task of coming up with an iPhone application for<br />

Auto<strong>Scout24</strong>, one of the most most-used used online automobile exchanges in Europe. In<br />

the first round the students present their concept along with suggested<br />

implementations. A jury of experts, including Oliver Stauch, deputy Chief Editor<br />

of autohifi / naviconnect, and Dr. Martin Enderle, CEO of <strong>Scout24</strong> Holding GmbH,<br />

will select the top 3 finalists from all the entries. They will then be allowed to<br />

finally program their applications – iPhones and Macs will of course rse be made<br />

available.<br />

Entering the competition<br />

Invitations have been sent out to about 20 German universities – among them<br />

TU Munich, LMU Munich, Bauhaus University of Weimar and RWTH Aachen – to<br />

enter for the award. Entries are welcomed from students on Computer Science<br />

and Media IT courses who have a weakness for iPhones and would like to help<br />

shape the future of the mobile Internet. Students are asked to enter without<br />

obligation on the form at www.scout24.com/award<br />

briefed and given competition papers. All entrants that have returned the papers<br />

by 31.12.2009 will be taking part in the official competition.<br />

Total prize money of 4,500 euros<br />

The 1st place in the award wil will l receive 2,500 euros. 2nd and 3rd place will<br />

receive 1,500 euros and 500 euros respectively.<br />
