FLU SHOT FUNDRAISER”<br />

We are gearing up for our 4 th Annual Holly<br />
on the Range fundraiser to be held Sunday,<br />
<strong>June</strong> 4, <strong>2017</strong>. Money is raised to fund ongoing<br />
programs aimed at educating the public about<br />
the flu and providing flu vaccines for people<br />
in our community. Each year, approximately<br />
50,000 people die of flu-related complications.<br />
Deaths among young people 29-45 are on the<br />
rise. With the help of our supporters, over the<br />
past three years, we have raised over $70,000,<br />
facilitated over 700 flu shots, traveled over 4,000 miles in our bus and<br />
made over 50 appearances at medical facilities and health expos to<br />
raise flu awareness. To fulfill our mission, we need the money raised<br />
to provide flu shots for people in need, cover printing costs concerning<br />
flu information, maintain and house our mascot vehicle and pay<br />
exhibitor fees to raise awareness. The 4 th Annual Holly on the Range<br />
will be held at TopGolf Houston-Katy from 6-9 PM. TopGolf Houston-<br />
Katy is located at 1030 Memorial Brook Blvd., Houston, TX 77084. Cost<br />
is $100 per golfer.<br />
GOLF TOURNAMENT HOSTED<br />
BY HOUSTON LIGHTNING SOFTBALL<br />
The 14u and 16u Houston Lightning softball teams are hosting a golf<br />
tournament on <strong>June</strong> 30 th at the Cypresswood Golf Club. This is a<br />
fundraising opportunity for both teams of young women to help pay<br />
for their national travels to play some of the best teams in the country<br />
so they can bring trophies back home to the Houston area.<br />
How can you get involved? Houston Lightning is looking for golfing four<br />
tops to join in on the fun that includes green fees, golf cart fees and<br />
lunch as well as the chance to win great prizes. Four top registration<br />
fee is $500 ($125 a golfer) and allows for a great 18-hole golf game, the<br />
chance to win contests and prizes, as well as the knowledge you are<br />
helping local young women to reach their athletic and life goals. Visit<br />
