BBC Proms
Violin players at a concert
We were excited to learn
that the BBC Proms are this
year introducing a ‘relaxed
prom’ on 29th July; a concert
suitable for those with sight
and hearing loss. We have
managed to get our hands
on some tickets so if you
would like to go along,
please contact us.
Money matters
We are pleased to see
the new £1 coin is more
recognisable due to it’s
unique 12 sided shape.
Remember that we only have
until October to either spend
our old £1 coins or to take
them in to a bank in exchange
for the new ones. Also don’t
forget that the old £5 notes
are now no longer accepted
in shops, but don’t worry if
you haven’t got through your
stash yet as banks will still
exchange them for new ones.
