It is advised that one also spends time reciting the Qur’\n, as it too is a<br />
source <strong>of</strong> Shif\ (cure), as well as it being the best form <strong>of</strong> Dhikr.<br />
All\h I states,<br />
“We send down (stage by stage) in the Qur’\n that which<br />
is a healing and a mercy to those who believe:<br />
to the unjust it causes nothing but loss after loss.”<br />
Qur’\n, al-Isr\, 17:82<br />
Additionally one may allocate time to other forms <strong>of</strong> prayer including<br />
supplicating to All\h I. Du`\’ can be described as a servant's direct<br />
conversation with their Master in which they may ask for whatever<br />
their heart desires, providing they are not asking for something<br />
unlawful. This can be done in any state, at any time, in any language.<br />
Anas t reported that the Messenger <strong>of</strong> All\h r said,<br />
“Du`\’ (supplication) is the essence <strong>of</strong> worship.”<br />

Included now are some examples <strong>of</strong> supplications made by the<br />
