The present compilation provides relevant information about University in the field of academics, research and extension education programmes. During the last three decades of its existence, the University has developed excellent infrastructural facilities in different faculties of Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences & AH, Forestry and College of Biotechnology. This has helped in research activities which has led to developing several high yielding crop varieties with improved management practices in Agriculture, improved pigs & goats in veterinary sciences, agroforestry models and tissue culture plants of several crops. Now, there has been a shift towards farmer-centric & industry oriented agricultural education involving agri-entreprenurship development through Experiential Learning, Rural Agricultural Work Experience, Agri-business management and business planning and development programmes. Future thrust is on developing a strong research and technology base for sustainable development of agricultural and allied sectors. I congratulate all the Deans, Directors, Associate Dean, Registrar and Chairman of the Departments for providing inputs to make this publication possible.
