Hever Castle’s annual Summer Joust is on the horizon, and<br />

the noble knights of Royal England are riding in with high<br />

hopes of being named this year’s champion. The tournament<br />

opens on Saturday 15 with a Royal procession from Henry<br />

Marsh festival hosts a line up of 32 events including<br />

Mozart Players, Latin-American groove, an openair<br />

performance of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, poetry<br />

recitals, superb art and photography exhibitions<br />

Shuck it up...<br />

The iconic Whitstable Oyster Festival is relocating<br />

to the beautiful Tankerton Slopes this year. The<br />

classic Landing of the Oysters on Saturday 22<br />

and oyster eating challenge. Throughout the rest<br />

of the festival there will be the ‘Mud Tug’ tug<br />

of war, oyster food fair, and a grand finale on<br />

Monday 24 <strong>July</strong>’s Children’s Day with picnicking,<br />

kite flying and building ‘grotters’ lanterns from<br />

Commemorating one of the most pivotal<br />

battles of the Second World War, The Battle<br />

of Britain Air Show has recruited spitfires and<br />

hurricanes as well as a Tiger Moth to take part<br />

in a display held at Headcorn Aerodrome on<br />

Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 <strong>July</strong>. There will also<br />

be an opportunity to get your picture taken<br />
