Introduction
Naco have for many years has been
a leader in the design and
manufacture of single and double
glazed louvres, external metal louvres,
solar control sunbreakers and
sunscreens.
This comprehensive range has now
been expanded to include the sight
proof vertical bladed Storm Louvre
(Type SLV) which provides exceptional
resistance to wind driven rain.
Horizontal bladed versions (Type SLH
and SLH-S) are also available to
compliment this high performance
range of weatherproof louvres.
The Naco Storm Louvre is available
from Actionair as well as from Naco
(see page 7 for Customer Service

The new design of the SLV Storm
Louvre has brought an advanced
technology to metal louvre systems,
where internal building ‘dry areas’ are
essential.
The remarkable performance
provided by the SLV Storm Louvre is
due to extensive research and
development in the blade profile,
which allows air to pass, whilst
diverting and capturing water
particles, thus preventing water
ingress even under the most extreme
conditions. Previously, conventional
methods of preventing water ingress
have been achieved by utilising
double or triple bank louvre systems.
Now with SLV Storm Louvre, this can
be attained in a single bank, single
frame style, with superior efficiency
and cost effective performance.
The innovative vertical blade
arrangement provides a significant
alternative to the normal concept of
louvre systems. Not only offering
advanced weather protection, but
allowing the designer the freedom to
exploit vertical dimensions within
ventilation systems.
The Naco SLV Storm Louvre range
has undergone extensive and
vigorous development testing in
accordance with the HEVAC / draft
European Standard for weather louvre
performance.
SLH and SLH-S Storm Louvre
versions provide a far superior barrier
to water ingress than the
conventional Z type louvres, whilst
allowing good airflow characteristics.

louvres subject to simulated rain’, with a simulated rainfall of 75mm per hour

Weatherbeta 24
Double glazed louvre window
Offering all the benefits of louvre
window design, coupled with greatly
improved thermal efficiency and
security, Weatherbeta 24 now offers
an unrivalled package in louvre
technology.
Windows can be operated by
hand/pole or be fitted with linear
motors or with fail safe motors for
connection to building management
systems.
Available in one, two, three or four
panel construction with integral
mullions, or with coupling mullions
and transoms to form composite
units.
Weatherbeta 24 is available in natural
anodised, a range of RAL polyester
colours or bronze anodised.
Glazing is with 24mm sealed double
glazed units which can incorporate a
wide variety of glass type.
Glass is supplied for site glazing.
Tape gasket is fitted to the external
side of the glazing profiles. Internal
wedge gasket is supplied loose for
site fitting by the glazier.
Windows are suitable for fitting direct
to structure or into many curtain
wall/window systems.

Weatherbeta
Single glazed louvre windows
Our architectural range of single
glazed louvres is well established in
many parts of the world and
applications include high tech
buildings, hospitals, universities,
domestic dwellings and sheltered
accommodation.
Weatherbeta is an elegant quality
engineered product which combines
a strong aluminium frame system with
ventilating blade holders produced
from precision injection moulded
polypropylene material.
The bladeholders incorporate
continuous fins which interlock and
seal to the full height of the glass and
provide an effective wiping action seal
on the jambs. Ventilating blades are
operated by an overcentre locking
handle which ensures that when closed
glass to glass seal is maintained.
Operation can be by hand/pole or
with electric motors, failsafe actuators
or by our AOW (automatically opening
window) system.
Available in RAL polyester colours,
natural anodised and bronze
anodised, Weatherbeta retains its
market lead in single glazed louvre
design and is commonly fitted within
a wide variety of building structures
and window/glazing systems.
Insect screens are available and are
normally fitted externally with simple
clip fixings.

as a practical ventilation design.
Produced from aluminium extrusions
we offer 50, 75 and 100 series
standard louvres together with our 75
performance series and sight proof
louvre.
Within the range are single and
double leaf doors opening in/out.
A range of blanking plates or
insulated panels may be fitted to the
rear of the louvre to suit applications
on to brick/block walls or where the
non active part of the louvre screen
requires a better degree of insulation.

Sunbreakers/Sunscreens
We offer ellipsoid blade sunbreakers,
both fixed and movable, for vertical or
horizontal applications.
The energy efficiency of many
buildings can be enhanced by the
efficient use of solar control screens.
The naco sunbreaker has been
designed to allow the infiltration of
light to be easily and comfortably
regulated from within.
Alternatively components from our
metal louvre system can be used to
provide conventional vertical or
horizontal screens.
Sunbreakers are produced from
aluminium profiles and movable units
rotate on a rigid fixed axle fitted to the
top and bottom of the frame profiles.
Operation can be by hand or by
electric motor and the control system
can be linked to remote control
sensors.
Sunscreens are generally purpose
made to suit the particular design
requirement. Screens can be fitted to
support structure provided by others
or may be designed with brace bars
and wall brackets are needed.
Ellipsoid sunbreakers and sunscreens
are available in RAL polyester colours
while in addition suncreens are also
available in natural anodised or
bronze anodised.
