KEY REQUIREMENTS

Graphic design qualification and at least three to four years relevant experience
Demonstrable ability to work across print and digital projects
A strong conceptual thinker and ability to think creatively
Commitment to working as part of a team and experience of team-work
Possess excellent organisational and time management skills and be capable of
juggling multiple projects
Experience of working with a marketing team is preferable
Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Print production, digital production
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties will include, but will not be limited to, the responsibilities outlined below:
Design
Produce print and digital content to represent all Abbey Theatre departments
including Abbey Talks series, Literary Department programmes, Community and
Education projects, Development / Fundraising initiatives, Membership collateral and
Merchandise
Artwork advertisements, posters, signage, programmes and other collateral
Act as an ambassador for the Abbey Theatre brand and visual identity and monitor
consistency of the Abbey identity
Print Management
Prepare files for litho and digital work
Liaise with printers to manage print specifications, budgeting, quality and delivery of
print material and services
Online
Develop graphics and content on the Abbey Theatre website,
e-communications and social media sites
Design e-newsletters and e-flyers for external and internal distribution
Produce artwork for online advertising campaigns
General
Keep up-to-date with developments in design, in advertising, print and digital media
Act as support to the Communications Department and undertake any other tasks as
may be deemed reasonable and appropriate
Network and represent the Abbey Theatre at industry events and internal events
Establish strong relationships within the arts community
