Plastic chain conveyor for the <strong>paper</strong> reel <strong>transport</strong><br />

<strong>MINDA</strong>, together with their plastic chain supplier, has realized a new<br />
<strong>de</strong>velopment in <strong>paper</strong> reel <strong>transport</strong>, which opens up new possibilities for<br />
the <strong>transport</strong> of <strong>paper</strong> <strong>reels</strong> in the future.<br />
Paper reel <strong>transport</strong> on metal slat chain conveyors<br />
The current situation:<br />
Currently, rail-bound un<strong>de</strong>rfloor trolleys and<br />
heavy metal slat chain conveyors are used for<br />
<strong>transport</strong>ing <strong>paper</strong> <strong>reels</strong>.<br />
Slat chain conveyors offer the advantage of<br />
<strong>transport</strong>ing several <strong>paper</strong> <strong>reels</strong><br />
simultaneously or of buffering a respective<br />
number of <strong>paper</strong> <strong>reels</strong> on the conveyor.<br />
For financial reasons, however, only<br />
un<strong>de</strong>rfloor trolley systems are used in many<br />
installations, only allowing 1 reel with 1 trolley<br />
or max. 2 <strong>reels</strong> with 2 un<strong>de</strong>rfloor trolleys to be<br />
buffered and <strong>transport</strong>ed.<br />
For this reason, <strong>MINDA</strong> searched for the<br />
most economical alternatives, and has<br />
succee<strong>de</strong>d with the introduction of the plastic<br />
chain conveyor for <strong>paper</strong> reel <strong>transport</strong>.

Beginning immediately, <strong>MINDA</strong> is cooperating with<br />
Maschinenbau u. Konstruktion GmbH Elmshorn (MUK) in the<br />
area of robotic palletisers.<br />
<strong>MINDA</strong> has combined their know-how in the area of<br />
conveyor technology and palletising with MUK’s many years<br />
of experience in the field of robots/grippers.<br />
