Letter<br />
Artworks play a key part in both of our house shoots<br />
this month. The first, in a stunning waterside<br />
location in Rye, is not so much a home, singular,<br />
as a stylish complex of buildings for living that reflect<br />
the owners’ exceptional eye for detail. The second, artist<br />
Karen Birchwood’s beautiful cottage, has just undergone<br />
extensive building works and now acts as a ‘gallery’ for her<br />
and her fellow artists’ paintings, sculpture and pottery.<br />
Art also takes centre stage for Helen Barton’s edit of sleek,<br />
tailored fashion photographed against the stunning murals at<br />
Port Lympne Hotel. Update your wardrobe from page 106.<br />
Here in the South East, we’re blessed to be surrounded<br />
by artisan producers and we’re always keen to advocate<br />
shopping local and free-range. Our recipes this month have<br />
been created for us by the family behind Sissinghurst Pigs.<br />
Try out Sally and Andy’s tasty rare breed pork for yourself<br />
with tenderloin and roasted beetroot farrotto, Scotch eggs<br />
and pulled pork with slaw. Believe me, they’re SO delicious!<br />
