pavilions. FOA PAVILION World Forestry Congress 2015 The 14th World Forestry Congress took place at Durban ICC from 7th till 11th September 2015. Of the 4 exhibits we produced at this event, The Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Pavilion was the flagship of the exhibition and was used extensively to showcase a variety of initiatives and host numerous high level meetings and delegations. The circular layout of this pavilion made it unique in comparison to typical square or rectangular exhibition layouts. This was an especially effective layout that allowed for numerous features including a cinema zone, regional displays, a youth zone with ‘selfie’ masks, an extensive literature library, Global Forest Resources Assessments (FRA) zone, a large integrated store , a private meeting room, occasional meeting areas and various multi-media screens. This exhibit was constructed using entirely reclaimed or recyclable materials. Post show much of the timber was recycled on-site. These will be re-purposed and used for construction projects in poorer communities.
