Duane Schulthess is the commercial Director of<br />
Science|business . Prior to this, he was head of corporate<br />

of successful digital products . For 11 years, he was the<br />
executive Director of a minneapolis-based not-for-profit<br />
ICE that combined ground-breaking technologies with<br />
music and performance . Duane was a fellowship student<br />
at the Royal Academy of music in london, has a<br />
bA magna cum laude from the University of the Pacific,<br />
and an MBA with Distinction from The Vlerick School of<br />
management at KU leuven where he has been a contributing<br />

Stellenbosch University, South Africa<br />
Professor eugene cloete joined Stellenbosch University<br />
as Dean of the Faculty of Science in 2009 from the<br />
University of Pretoria (UP) where he served as Head of<br />
microbiology and Plant Pathology, Faculty of natural and<br />
Agricultural Sciences, and chairperson of the School of<br />
biological Sciences . Prof cloete is the Founding Director<br />
of the UP Water Institute, and past Vice-President and<br />
board member of the International Water Association<br />
(IWA) . In 2005, he was appointed as chairman of the<br />
IWA Strategic council for three years . He is a Senior<br />
fellow of the Water Institute of South Africa, a fellow<br />

Fergal Clarke is the Director of IP Strategy at Rambus,<br />
one of the world’s premier technology licensing companies<br />
. Rambus has been a leader for more than fifteen<br />
years in the invention and design of high-performance<br />
semiconductor chip to chip interfaces and memory interfaces<br />
in particular . Fergal has been with Rambus since<br />
2006 and previously worked with Applied Materials<br />

from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem . He has served<br />

University<br />
gregory D . graff is a professor in the department of<br />
Agricultural and Resource economics at colorado State<br />
University with interests in intellectual property and technology<br />
development policies in the life sciences . Prior to<br />
joining the faculty at colorado State, Dr . graff helped<br />
to found PIPRA (the Public Sector Intellectual Property<br />
Resource for Agriculture) . Dr . graff has been a lecturer at<br />
UC Berkeley and the UC Davis and has published widely,<br />
including articles in Science, nature biotechnology, the<br />
Review of economics and Statistics, World Development,<br />
the American Journal of Agricultural economics, and the<br />
california management Review, and chapters in numerous<br />
books. He is currently collaborating with <strong>CIP</strong> on a<br />

Gustav Brismark has worked at Ericsson for more than<br />
20 years in positions ranging from research to product<br />
management . He joined the IPR group at ericsson four<br />
years ago and has been active in building up a portfolio<br />

göran calås is Intellectual Property office, Security<br />

Dr . Hans Persson is the Senior Vice President, Technology<br />
& Innovation, at Volvo Technology – a global research and<br />

to the Volvo group . He received his PhD in atomic<br />
physics in 1993 and his docent title in physics in 1996 .<br />
From 2001 he was the manager for the Data Fusion<br />

Helena l nilsson is the Director of research and development<br />

Henric Rhedin has since 2002 headed the largest unit at<br />

unit, commercial R&D, employs 35 people out of a total<br />
of 75 people employed by cIT, and provides expertise in<br />
all kinds of areas of technology including technology management<br />
and related services . In addition to this, Henric is<br />

well as on the international level including Association of<br />
Science and Technology Transfer Professional (ASTP), HeP<br />

Henrik Olsson is the Global Director Intellectual<br />
Property for the Volvo group . His responsibilities include<br />
patents, design rights, and trademarks. He joined<br />
the Volvo Group in 2010. Before working with Volvo, he<br />
worked with SKF from 2004–2010 as patent manager in<br />
combination with a group responsibility for Intellectual<br />
Asset management (IAm) at SKF . He also has experience<br />
working with several IP law firms. Henrik has a degree in<br />

Ilkka is the Head of the legal function of Nokia Corporation,<br />

Nokia globally. Before joining Nokia he was a practicing<br />
lawyer in Helsinki.<br />

Jens bördin is the chief executive officer and co-founder<br />
of cIP Professional Services Ab, a research-based development<br />
and business consultancy company . Apart from<br />

governance of key intellectual assets in sourcing, collaboration<br />

Jostein Dalland is the ceo of Inven2, a technology transfer<br />
and commercialization company in oslo, norway,<br />
formed from the merger of Birkeland Innovation and<br />
medinnova . Jostein Dalland over 15 years of executive<br />
experience from the high-tech industry, including being<br />
the ceo of a publicly listed biotech company, executive<br />
Vice President at the industry conglomerate Aker, and<br />
Vice President at Orkla ASA. From this he has extensive<br />
experience working with universities on sophisticated<br />
R&D programs and licensing IPR from technology transfer<br />
offices . In addition Dalland has founded and developed<br />
