They’re the perfect complement to your cruise itinerary, but they are subject to availability so we recommend you book early!
Our Superb Range of Excursions MPS Lady Anne For ease of reference, all our excursions - whether they are included or optional - are listed below in alphabetical order. Plus, at the back of this booklet we have listed each cruise together with the excursions and their prices. Ahr Valley Amsterdam Cologne Delft Rüdesheim Ahr valley evening wine tasting Join our coach as we venture into the most northerly winemaking region in Germany to enjoy an evening of wine tasting. The grapes that grow here on steep, terraced vineyards make glowing, velvety red wines which are among the best of their kind. It’s a tradition established by the Romans and one that continues to this day. Amsterdam city tour Our city tour is aboard a tourist bus with a fully transparent roof (which opens in good weather), offering panoramic views of the city, canals, squares and main attractions. Antwerp The age-old affair between man and diamond is evident around the world, but nowhere is it more palpable than in the city of Antwerp. With the help of our guide, we are shown around the diamond district, the 17th century Ruben house and central square in the old town. Appeltern Gardens A walk through this 23-hectare park is an experience for all the senses. There is a free audio tour if you are interested in the story behind Appeltern and want an extra explanation about the gardens, or you can simply enjoy the quiet, the space and the nature. Whichever you choose, you’re almost certain to come away with some fantastic ideas for your own garden. Castle Arcen & gardens Visit the most beautiful gardens of the Netherlands and experience ancient times on a guided tour of the castle which dates from the 17th century. The huge 42-hectare garden is a delight to explore with areas that resemble Japan, Italy and Thailand, along with woodland and tropical gardens. Colmar & the alluring Alsace The Alsace region of France is unquestionably beautiful, with a special combination of history, culture, scenery and gastronomy. Our excursion visits the wine capital of Colmar and the medieval village of Riquewihr, which nestle in the Vosges mountains and are filled with pretty timber-framed buildings. We also visit the famous Dopff & Irion winery in Riquewihr, where you can visit the cellars and sample delicious wines. Cologne guided tour The Cathedral of Cologne is one of Germany’s most important architectural monuments, a gothic masterpiece which boasts the highest church spires ever built, we admire the cathedral before we explore into the old town for an insight into the city’s 2,000 year history. Cologne highlights With our Cruise Manager we walk to see the highlights of Cologne, a city dominated by the magnificent gothic cathedral, believed to be Germany’s most impressive building which took 600 years to complete.
