walk to see the highlights of
Cologne, a city dominated by
the magnificent gothic cathedral,
believed to be Germany’s most
impressive building which took
600 years to complete. You can
also enjoy free time to browse
the famous shopping centres. In
the run up to the festive season
the city hosts its own Christmas
market, which creates a magical
atmosphere and offers a glorious
array of original gifts.
Danube gorge cruise &
Weltenburg Abbey
This excursion continues by
coach to Kelheim where you
board a boat and cruise through
Donaudurchbruch – the Danube
Gorge. We stop at Weltenburg
Abbey, the oldest monastery
in Bavaria, where you can step
ashore to explore this historic
site which is also the oldest
beer-producing monastery in
the world.
