…a word from our President! Hi Corvetter’s: Well the mystery tour is over. I hope everybody had a great time. We had 18 cars. We went to Ben Lomond above Santa Cruz. We had a train ride in the Redwoods. We had a B.B.Q. with half a chicken, beans and salad, then roasted marsh-mellows. Then took a walking tour in the Redwoods, to walk off the big lunch. What a great time. Connie, Debbie, Frieda and Darlene set up the Hospitality room. We had ice cream Sunday’s, candy and lots of dips & foods. We played games until 11:30. A special thanks to Keith and Debbie for all their hard work! And to Frieda and my beautiful wife for all their hard work! Connie wanted a special hospitality and I think she got the job done. We had a beautiful spot to stay in the Redwoods to relax and swim in the pool. Best part of all is we went with good friends!! Love you all. Your President, Andy
Central Valley Corvettes General Meeting Minutes September 19, 2017 The General Meeting was called to order by President Andy Anderson at 6:35pm. Minutes from the August meeting were read. There being no corrections, Leigh Ann Severance made a motion to accept the minutes as read. David Dukes seconded. Dick Johnson gave the Treasurer’s report. The bank balance is healthy and the accounting is finishing up for the Mystery Run. The raffle was a bit tamer this month, bringing in ONLY $252.00. It was decided to hold the raffle for the 2 nd CB at the October meeting. We had 2 lucky winners of $50 bills but Terry forgot to note the winners. Congratulations, whoever you are. VP of Public Relations, Charlotte Renna, welcomed our newest members, Jim and Peggy Bandy to the club. Diane Tjerrild brought her guest Gina Estrada to her 2 nd meeting. Other guests were Roger & Valerie Merit. They don’t have a car… yet but are in the process. We also welcomed Charlie & Deb West to their 1 st meeting. Charlie let us know how they acquired their 1999 Torch Red C5 that they have had for 2 years. They won it in a raffle in Atlanta, Georgia! We celebrated 431 years of birthdays and 139 years of Anniversaries. Charlotte ended asking everyone to find the Mystery Spot bumper sticker as they leave tonight. VP of Activities, Dick Danielsen mentioned several runs and activities are planned for the rest of the year. If you’re a member of this club, you can’t say you are bored. Reminder that signup sheets usually tell you where to meet and at what time. Any questions, you can call Dick on his house phone or shoot him an e-mail. Gary Pflepsen handed out nomination forms for next year’s Board. He will hand them out again next month and then we will vote in November. Chuck Laningham found 2 badge violators. Debbie Garrison let us know that Dave Dawson has been having challenges with his heart while recuperating from his broken hip. All the Alaskan Cruisers returned safely. Haven’t heard too many stories. Old Business: None New Business: None The next Board meeting will be Tuesday, September 26 th at Dick Danielsen’s home. The next General meeting will be the 3 rd Tuesday (October 17) of the month. There being no old business or new business, Mike Lebda made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Diane Hayes seconded.
