Goldie The
Unicorn

Meet Goldie the golden unicorn. A
unicorn that had a magic power, greater that
all others...
"Now, now Connor. I know you love Goldie
but you don't need to go on like that..."
"Oh all right, but her laugh is so graceful
just like her sneezes and she shines like
a shooting star and is as adventurous as a
firework. How they burst with colours and
strength!"
Connor was the king unicorn. Storm was
a slave who loved Goldie: Storms brave and
adventurous 11 year old daughter.
"Connor, go and find Goldie for me
please."
"Yes sir!" cried Connor galloping off to find
Goldie. Meanwhile, Goldie and her friend
Diana where exploring the jungle outside of
the kingdom. All was well until a fearsome
firebird jumped out of a nearby thorn bush
and whimpered like a small puppy.
"Ouch! I really shouldn't have hid in the
thorn bush. Now I will eat you!" said the

thornbird. Goldie and Diana ran off but
Diana got her foot trapped! Goldie would
not leave her friend. They were doomed...
The firebird's claws came closer and
closer until Connor appeared with a sword
and a rope. He tied the bird's two feet
together and then cut the tree root that
held Diana down.
"Come on!" he called.
"Firebirds seem to be everywhere these
days," explained Goldie.
"And that's why you shouldn't wander
off," said Connor looking back towards
Goldie who was helping Diana walk
because the root that held her captive,
was very sharp and had dug into her fur.
As they approached the sliver gates to
Colour unicorn land when they noticed
every colour unicorn was glaring up at the
information board. ( The board with all
the information and reminders on. E.G:
Today news is or remember that church is
today.) The breaking news was on.
"Hi this is your news reporter Ginger
and today I'm reporting a terrible crisis!"
The news reporter face expression
changed from cheerful to terrified but
yet, continued. "Firebirds are taking over

Colour unicorn land! We have no choice but
to leave our home city and flee for freedom.
Somewhere like Mars, Jupiter or even Ear..."
She had no time to finish, because a firebird
swept down and started attacking. Everyone
ran away, no one quite sure where they were
running.
"Oh no!" cried Storm "We're all in danger!
We must evacuate to um... Jupiter or
Neptune".
"Dad, hold on a minute," said Goldie
calmly. Everyone stopped and stared at her,
including Storm.
"I know where we can go, if there willing
to let us in."
"Who let us in?" said Storm.
"The Fairies. They live in loads of places
but the closest is Candy Fluff Sparkle Wings,
or CFSW. I`ll go and ask her."
"No you will not. I would never forgive
myself if something happened to you,"
reasoned Storm.
"Dad I'm 11 now, I'm old enough to explore
the world," explained Goldie.
"You can only go if Connor comes with
you," announced Storm. Goldie agreed, and
she and Connor set of.
Along the way, they had to cross a long
wooden bridge. CLIPITY CLOP! CLIPITY
CLOP! CLIPITY... As they were walking,

they were stopped by a slimy, green bumpy
skinned troll.
" Who's that crossing MY bridge?" it
roared. Its slimy breath was beyond stinky,
it was so bad it would knock you onto
the ground, while trying to breathe. In
fact, Goldie actually started coughing and
spluttering while Connor was sick over the
side of the bridge. The little troll then burst
in to tears on the spot. Goldie and Connor
stared at the sobbing troll.
"Wahhhh!" cried the troll.
"We're so sorry we didn't mean to upset
you," explained Goldie.
"Really?" cried the troll.
"Really" said Connor.
"My name is Zak."
"Nice to meet you Zak," said both Goldie
and Connor.
"Where you going?" asked Zak.
"CFSW" replied Goldie.
"Ooh!" Said Zak. " Can I come?"
"Of course you can Zak!" chirped Connor.
So together they continued their quest...

The Time
machine

Not too long ago, there were two children
called Joe and Kate. Joe was three years older
than Kate. Joe was ten and Kate was seven.
Joe had light brown hair which was swept
onto the side while Kate had slightly curly
blonde hair. Joe was a normal, helpful boy
and Kate was a typical, kind girl. They both
went to Timberly Primary School and right
now it was the middle of the school holidays.
They were playing hide and seek when Kate
hid in the storage room and found a slightly
dusty metal cube. It was quite big and Kate
called to Joe. Joe said:
"Look! There's a switch!"
Kate pressed the switch and some lights
turned on. It brushed off the dust and the
lights had small candles inside which had
different colour flames on top. Then it
changed its colour to a red-green colour. It
had a note on the side.
"Look, Joe! A note! It says: The Time

Machine of Magic and Mystery!"said
Kate. "To activate, pour some milk into
the pocket or engine and get inside." Joe
then went to the fridge and poured 1 cup
of milk into the engine. Kate and Joe got
inside. Then, rapidly the box shot up into
the air. When they were maybe a mile taller
that the Eiffel Tower, it stopped. It started
going back in time.
"We'll see dinosaurs!" cried Joe.
"We'll get to witness the Big Bang!"
squealed Kate.
Then Joe began to notice that all of
the houses were fading away. The things
that were new began to go and gradually
everything started to disappear. Within 5
minutes, they saw the Ancient Egyptians
building the pyramids. 10 minutes later,
they saw dinosaurs. Everything soon faded
away until nothing was left. A voice then
spoke:
"Hello, we need your help to build the
earth again! Our way of going in the past
has broken and so has the future machine.
Please help us! We will leave you with
the power of making what you want to
appear."
Then, Kate had made two massive semirocks.
They were moving like comets and

then Joe made them crash into each other.
"That must be Venus!" screamed Kate.
"It works!"
Then they did Mars, Uranus, Jupiter,
Saturn, Pluto, Neptune, Mercury and then
Earth. Then they made the stars, the sun
and the moon. After that they made land
and sea. Then plants and all of the others.
Then voice came back saying "You've
done it! Our machine is finally working!
We are taking you home! Then the next
day they both woke up in their beds but
Kate had found a small metal cube of the
time machine and Joe had found a 'Thank
You' card which was quite small and it said:
"Thanks for saving THE WORLD!"

"When you have a new speaker, it's a good idea
to put them on a new line. Then it's faster and
easier for your reader to follow the conversation

The Little Land
of Terror

The Dream

It was a normal night, and Diana was
sleeping in her small bed. She couldn't get
to sleep because of the wind blowing in her
ears. She sat up in her bed and sighed. She
had a small rat as her friend and she kept
him in the small box near her bed. He was
called Toby. Diana picked him from his
bed and found he was still awake, too. She
stood up to see what was wrong from out
the window when she smelt smoke. Then
outside she saw a fire. It was spreading
from the baker's shop! Then she ran to
her Mother's room to find she was not
there! Then Diana saw that the fire had
spread from the baker's to her home! She
grabbed Toby and looked out her window.
Too far to jump safely, but there was no
other way. She got her backpack, grabbed
some clothing and food and then grabbed
Toby and a sack. She stood at the window
sill and trembled. She had to risk it. She
jumped and as soon as she did, she had
the sack to help her jump safely with the
air. She then ran. She ran as far as she
could, until she got to the River Thames.
She jumped in and washed herself. She

got a small hair ribbon and her mother's
photo. Then she saw the fire. She began to
swim, on her back because she was faster
that way. She then got out and ran with
the energy of some oil and bread. She got
a bucket and threw some water at the fire.
She ran as fast as her legs could take her.
She imagined her house, from homely to
ruins. She thought she had lost her mum
forever. She then dived into the water and
slept.
She was exhausted. Then in the morning,
she woke up to see her mum out at the side
of the river and they met happily again in
a house in Kensington.

THE BIG BATTLE!

The story begins when Alfred, the Saxon king, gets
married to Tate the Great, who has saved the town lots
of times from the evil, cruel Vikings. Tate the Great,
who is very kind to whoever she passes especially the
homeless and the poor, was busy picking her wedding
dress when suddenly she heard a big BANG! And the
farmer had let the sheep go wild and they had broke
down the fence so Tate the Great was now even busier
than before.
As soon as Tate was finished with the sheep and the
dress, she headed straight down to the grand battle field
and started practicing on the green vivid grass. There
were thousands of warriors who had fought battles
there before and being on the battle field made her feel
like she was as happy as a hyena when it finds its prey.
Tate started setting up the battle field for the troupe so
they could start practicing. Then they would be ready
for the next battle that comes because they really need
to act like stronger people during the battles that come
in the future. Then Tate realised that she was going to
be late for her wedding.
At last, Tate finally got into her dress and was walking
down the isle when all of a sudden there was a loud
BAM!!!!! And everyone left the church straight away
especially Tate the great and the king Alfred. The noise
was a Viking tribe approaching the battle field where

Tate had just set up to practice fighting with the Saxon
troupe but unfortunately King Guthrum had spoiled
everything like the wedding and the training and even
the day by coming and interrupting them. Now that
King Guthrum got married to Berta the brave he
thinks that he can rule wherever he goes.
After King Guthrum had made an explanation of why
he was in the Saxon territory he declared there was a
battle between the two tribes, and whoever won got
to be the leader of both tribes. Then it all happened,
the tribes got Into battle positions and the kings were
on there horses. Then they began some got wounded
some passed away but the Vikings did the tap on the
shoulder and the Saxons won the battle. Then King
Guthrum had his last words as a leader they were “I’m
sorry Vikings I cant help you anymore because of the
dreadful king Alfred I’m so sorry my people.” They
were the last words he ever spoke aiming against the
King Alfred. ”My great citizens of all I declare a party
tonight in my castle to celebrate what has happened
today.” King Alfred said to his people.
Then Guthrum noticed his wife Berta
was even enjoying the fun.

When Two Kings Clash

It all started a long, long time ago, when Edwin
The Extreme was celebrating at the king’s banquet.
However, misery they knew not. It was well known
that the Anglo Saxons had disagreements with the
Vikings over hundreds of years, where they disagree
who should have sole ownership of the land divided
thousands of years before. As the king knew most of
his land was being taken over by The Vikings, they
decided to fight for the land. That was really the only
thing they had agreed on in years.
The vicious, vile Viking King set off to invade the
Anglo Saxon Coast and conquer more of the land
and townships. As soon as the Saxon men and the
king had heard the news, the Viking King and his
army were preparing to battle, the Saxon King and
his army got ready to fight. It had started poring with
rain, it was about six O’clock but none of the armies
were bothered because they needed to fight for their
land because it was needed. At this point, the Kings
daughter, Tate, was fighting harder than she had ever
fought before. At least there wasn’t many warriors
down, well less than the Vikings anyway. Three of
the other warriors were down but the king had no
time for that because he has smelt something burning
round the corner. It smelt like it was spreading. The
King and his daughter Tate went to try and put the
fire out

"AAAHHHH!" Tate’s clothing had got burnt AAH it
had also burnt her leg. But she couldn’t stop. She had to
help The King put the fire out. After about an hour they
had managed to put it out. It was all done then. The King
helped heal the three warriors and all was great
They all finished the banquet, they had it for another reason
now. It was because they won all of their land back
and won the battle. The King found s lovely sword at the
end of the table
If they hadn’t agreed to fight, if they didn’t win the battle
then there wouldn’t have been an amazing well known
battle. As The King was proud of his best noble men, The
King had decided to change the law so that there will be
two banquets a week instead of one per week. (Monday
and Sunday).

THE MISSING BOY!

It all started a long, long, long time ago when Magnus
Glowded who was a very rich young boy, went to a tower
to meet his friend Tate the Tarte. He went to go and see
her to cause some trouble because Magnus wasn’t happy
with being bored all of the time. Strong and bravely he
went passed all of the roads that his mother and father had
told him not to go on because of the high risk of fires and
kidnappings. Something went horribly wrong his homemade
matches had caught fire to a bush. The guards up on
the tower saw everything that had happened Ingrid ,Betra,
Vidar and Aldith. They all quickly rushed down to try and
help the boy.
It had just hit six o’clock and Tate the Tarte had just started
to get a little bit worried seems they were meant to
meet at four o’clock on the dot. His mother and father had
came to try and find him because he was late for his dinner
and they also started to get a bit worried to. He wasn’t
far from the tower in fact he was only 200 yards away
from it. The tower was a towering tall building that had
candles all around and all in the inside that no one really
goes in but still has guards around every day.
Just four minutes ago the fire had stared the all of the men
and women were rushing from around the tower. Ingrid,
who was a very nervous person, tried to overcome his
fears of being nervous by going there as fast as he could
to try and save the boy. Vidar was a very independent man

and always sneered at Ingrid because Vidar thought he was
to shy and he shouldn’t be a guard. They all eventually got
down and from around the tower but there was no boy and
no body not even a trace of him or his smart clothes. Everyone
was terrified and were clattering their teeth together.
Then Ingrid spotted something in the distance someone
wearing all dark clothes and carrying the boy…
Luckily Ingrid ran to him as fast as he could and managed
to speed up with the man with the child. Ingrid thought that
he recognised the man and he was absolutely right it was
Wulfric (Who was known as a warrior). He questioned
Wulfric about the kidnapping but as soon as he did he ran
of in a flash. Then that was when Vidar stepped in ( as he
always did) and then he quickly ran to the man(who was
now no longer a mysterious person) and tried to grab the
boy. But then Ingrid was back to save the boy and it happened
Ingrid saved the boy and Vidar was furious that he
didn’t manage to get the boy and Ingrid did.
If those guards wouldn’t of been on guard that day, if
Ingrid hadn’t of been so brave then Magnus Glowded
wouldn’t of been in his luxurious hut were his mother and
father were sat sobbing on their basket chairs. The first
thing he did was run up to his parents and give them a big
hug and he muttered to them”I will never try and do something
so silly ever again”. So that was it the boy got home
safely and then Ingrid overcame his fear of being nervous
and was remembered through the whole Anglo-Saxon time
period and soon became leader of the Saxons and he is still
remembered to this day for saving Magnus Glowded.

Wulfric The Anglo

It all began when, Wulfric The Anglo, who was the
savour of all people, had set out on a visit to Scandinavia.
Denmark was a lovely country, but Wulfric simply
just wanted to get away from all the fuss because all he
got all day every day was people nagging him for autographs
and pictures. The vulnerable, unarmed country
was getting even more and more endangered without
people even knowing. While he was away, Wulfric
overheard news about Denmark being threatened by the
terrible and evil, Astrid the Asteroid. Astrid the Asteroid
was a wanted criminal for kidnapping and thieving.
Five people have already gone missing due to his mortifying
actions.
When dusk broke into dawn, Wulfric heard more news
about Astrid the Asteroid. It was said that Astrid was
travelling on horseback and moving towards the village
where Wulfric lived. The village was a small calm local
place, where everyone knew everyone there was happy
local citizens buzzing around with a warm smile, and
trouble didn’t often occur. Although the village sounds
quite boring, this village was the most important village
of all. Alfred The Great lived there. Alfred The Great
was the king of the Anglo Saxons. He was the strongest
and the richest man in Denmark and no one had a happier
spirit than Alfred. Wulfric Knew what Astrid was
up to almost instantly when he heard that he was on
his way to the village. At the breaking of noon, Wulfric

ventured through the waves like a speeding tornado. Wulfric
sailed through the sea, desperate to make it in time.
Sweat was streaming down his face and his arms and legs
were shaking as fast as light. Wulfric had high hopes but
he wasn’t sure if he was going to make it in time…
Fortunately, the rapid, cascading seas calmed down as
Wulfric The Anglo docked up at the border of Northern
Denmark. The coastline where Wulfric had docked, was
only a couple towns away from the village where Wulfric,
and Alfred The Great lived. Meanwhile in the town of
Halfdan, Astrid the asteroid was Barging through crowds,
shoving through stalls and rushing down to the Village.
Wulfric was curtain that the reason Astrid was heading
to the village, was because Astrid wanted to kidnap the
king. Wulfric thought this because Astrid the Asteroid
had already kidnapped the Prince of the Geats, the duke
of Denmark and now Alfred The Great! By the time he
had figured this, Wulfric was out side the village. He raced
in through the crowds dodging and scurrying through the
villagers and townsfolk. He arrived at the lofty tall building,
which was 5 stories tall, but it was to late. Astrid had
already got there and all the towns people had descended
into chaos. Astrid the Asteroid had already disappeared
with the king. Wulfric wasn’t going to let this happen. He
chased him through every town, every village, he even
chased him through the whole of Denmark.
Eventually, Wulfric caught Astrid at a dead end in the road.
Wulfric The Anglo drawn out his sword and shield and was
ready to fight. “Does this really have to end in violence?”
Asked Astrid cunningly. “YYYYYEEESSSSS!!!!” He
replied confidently. The battle was fierce and exhausting.

Astrid was wearing much more body armour ( as he prepared
for the worst) however, Wulfric emerged victorious
and stabbed Astrid in the heart. CRASH!! Astrid’s body
fell on the the floor with a huge thud
Three days later, everything returned back to usual and the
Prince of the Geats, the duke of Denmark and Alfred the great
all returned home safely. Wulfric and the villagers all lived
a happy life, having special festivals, parties and anniversaries
for this special story. In the tall, towering tower,
the king, and the warriors of all of Denmark joined each
other for an enormous banquet. At this feast, Wulfric was
now declared a noble warrior and from this day on he was
always considered to be a hero. Wulfric lived on without
any problems occurring, until next time…

Halfdan the Hero

It opens when, Halfdan the Warrior , who was the greatest
and most powerful leader of the Saxon army, he had
a terrible disagreement with Wulfric the Viking leader.
Alfred, the Anglo-Saxon king, was not impressed with
Halfdan because they lost the first battle to the invading
Vikings. Alfred was starting to become anxious about
how much of his land was being overtaken.
When the sun,was sinking behind the hills, Wulfric
stared out the misty window across the golden hills
thinking about how to make his king happy.But then
he spotted 30 enemies approaching and ran to tell king
Alfred. Alfred did not believe Halfdan at all but then
banging started.
Then, the king said: "Is this a set up to make me happy
because you lost the first battle?
"No! Just... we need to tell the others quick!" said Halfdan
in a worried voice.
Alfred went to go and tell the others to go quick. All
of the worriers stood on the battlefield and battled each
other . Wulfric and Halfdan battled till death …
Magnuts, one of the Saxon men pushed Wulfric out the
way and helped Halfdan up. Wulfric was on the floor
and Halfdan sliced wulfric in half. The Viking leader
Edwin screamed: "NOOOO!"
After two weeks everyone but the Vikings were
celebrating the death of Wulfric.
Hey Emma. Good story. Did you know
that Halfdan means 'half danish"?

Wulfric the Wolf

It all began with the beloved, great king Alfred dead.
Guthrum the greedy, who took anything he could get his
hands on and Wulfric the wolf, who was the most powerful
and probably the most trustworthy, were both in the running
for the new king of Denmark. Guthrum, who was fighting
for king, was not amused because Wulfic was getting all the
attention. The foul, overtaken territory was swiftly becoming
jam-packed of vile Vikings and appalling Anglo Saxons.
One showery morning, a young, adorable girl, who was as
adorable as the most adorable animal which had ever lived,
looked out of her home window on the lime green hill onto
the shocking battlefield to surprisingly crowded with Vikings
and Saxons. Her name was Tate. Tate was the person to predict
war. Therefore for this election on the field in her mind
war was coming up and she knew it. The beast (Guthrum)
of this election suddenly got something Tate could never see
coming…
A few dreadful seconds later, Tate was sadly right war did
happen and it was happening FAST! All she could hear from
her poor house was screeching and whining and children’s
sound of fright .She had to stop but how. Tate suddenly
slipped on her leather shoes and crept outside to overhear the
Viking mischievous plot. This is what she heard,”Ok people
we have to sabotage those dumb Anglos into thinking that
Wulfric the so called wolf is a disgustment to them. Get it
then we will take action and get our place as victors and make
our sacred gods proud. Ingrid, Astrid you’re in charge of the
fooling.” Then, “MWAHAHAHA!”
At a high speed Tate sped home, she got changed in to her
finest clothes slipped back on her magnificent shoes and

dashed back out into the war infested place and stood in the
exact centre any yelled “STOP” Silence came,” Now this has
gone on long enough you have to stop please all of our lives
depend on it trust me it’s not going to do us any good” Everyone
dropped their weapons and bowed their heads Astrid,
Ingrid, Wulfric and Guthrum marched forward and gratefully
cheered 'The new queen of us Anglo Saxons' So Tate lived on
to be known as the peace maker and resolved every war that
the Saxons got into.

All Hail Peace!!

It all started a long time ago, when Gudrun (a Viking
warrior) had a disagreement with her old warrior
fighter Vidar, who was strong and fierce. They started
arguing because the first king who ruled the kingdom,
Edwin the Great, had died. They both wanted to
choose who the next king of the kingdom in Denmark
was going to be however none of them were the leaders
of the army. Vidar was definite that she would be
the best warrior leader and help in the selection of the
next king must to the disapproval of Gudrun. Gudrun
believed that she wanted the crown for her own head
and be able to sit in the throne as a queen.
Within the walls of the tall, great lofty hall looked to
the outside of the poor people begging for anything
that their lives would at least get a little bit better than
sitting worthless on the street compared to the grand,
glorious hall. You could hear the warriors shouting and
laughing at the top of their lungs about nothing that really
mattered. The server at the bar, named Ingrid was
surprised and a little amused by their appearances. The
expression on her face acted a little weird as if she had
saw them in a similar place. She definitely recognized
these men. Then Tate (her warrior friend) the same
rank as her walked into the bar and had the exact same
expression on her face when she saw the chaos.
At the crack of dawn, another fierce warrior called

Wulfric appeared he was on the army for Vidar and was
supporting Vidar in this battle about to go on, So both
unruled leaders gather up the defenders and started to
battle, there were CLASHES AND CLANGS of swords
and bows and shields. But all of a sudden the worst
possible thing just happened; one of the sons of the
warrior on Gudrun’s side had disappeared! Gudrun was
mortified that his son had been taken away by a fierce
warrior, he was determined to find out who had taken
him!
They all headed to the watch tower where they found
an astonishing sight they had found his son. He was
laying there on the top floor legs and arms spread out
but they all thought he was dead. He wasn’t dead. If
they all hadn’t go and found him at the watch tower, if
they wouldn’t had prayed then Gudrun’s son would had
sadly died.

The Watch Tower

It opens when Edwin the Intelligent, who was fierce and bliss
hero who had a discussion with Magnus the hard. Edwin, who
is an Anglo-Saxon king, was not happy with Magnus because
he clearly said that he should never set foot on his land but he
didn’t listen. The endangered, land was becoming ruled over
by the Vikings because they wanted to fight for the land.
When the sun was sinking, Edwin and his army were eating
their breakfast which was yummy in the enormous, lofty
king’s hall was as tall as two skyscrapers put together. One
hour later the guards spotted something in the far distance it
can’t be it was a...
BATTLE! going on and the guards said to get ready because
there was a battle going on the men got their arrows and was
running up to each other they were hiding behind the tall hill
and sometimes they couldn’t see because it was really misty
over the hills and in the far distance they couldn’t believe their
eyes it was… THE PRINCESS!!!! She was on the field were
the battle was taking part the men said what are we going to
do.
Immediately the princess directed the men into the order that
they needed to be in and the men were saying go back but
Princess Tate refused to go back she was asking for a shield
and an arrow and all of a sudden she started to shoot and
killed the last few men and was now a princess warrior.
If Princess Tate wasn’t there they probably wouldn’t of won
the land , if she didn’t have back up she would of died then
she wouldn’t be princess. And there were no more battles
until… Nice story Freya.

Alfred Arises

The story begins in Denmark where Alfred, the king of
the Saxons ruled over the whole kingdom. During this
time the Vikings were invading all over his kingdom
and taking his land piece by piece. Alfred felt threatened
and organised his army led by warriors Wulfric
and Harold, to keep control of the remaining land.
Guthrum, the Viking King, wanted to give his children,
Berta the Brave and Tate the Terrific the Saxon
land so they could ultimate rulers and the Vikings
could take over Europe finally.
Alfred was waiting for the attack daily. He sat in his
throne banqueting in lofty, great hall with all of his noble
men and warriors. As sun was sunken, Wulfric and
Harold , his warriors, saw in the distance the Viking
army approaching the hall in a long line like a fierce
moving snake creeping closer towards the Saxon army.
Immediately, the fierce, deadly battle commenced
on the battlefield of Edington. They where coming
on horses with a shields and swords but Alfred was
ready for them with an magical long axe. Harold killed
Guthrum’s army on his own and became ultimate
warrior leader under King Alfred. Alfred became the
ultimate king of the whole kingdom and over time he
killed the Viking king and ended their rule on Britain.

A New Beginning

It opens, when Cynewise the warrior, who was cheeky
and brave had a disagreement with Berta the great, who
was a king. Cynewise, who was Saxon queen, was horrified
by Berta, the Viking king, because he killed one of
her men. The overpowered, deadly Viking king (Berta)
quickly started to build his own territory next to the Anglo
Saxons. The thing about Berta is that, he is always
bragging about himself and he doesn’t care about his
people, just him. You DON’T want to get him angry.
When the sun was sunken, the Anglo-Saxons were having
a blast munching on their dinner and talking about
their appearance. On the other hand, the Vikings were
eating their lunch in silence and hitting each other in
the face while the king was eating chicken and turkey.
Later that evening, while the Vikings were walking to
their houses something in the distance was blocking
their gravel pathway with its large body it was as fat as a
elephant.
As quick as a flash, the beast had disappeared in the fog.
Little do they know that the beast was actually an ogre
and his name was Gobi, who was a cereal killer, and
he was off to slaughter the king (Berta.) Unfortunately,
Gobi crept up on the king a killed him and now he
would watch over the Vikings in a watch tower and kill
them if they tried escaped. R.I.P Berta the Viking king
his people had always loved him…

Later that night, while Gobi was watching over the village,
1 Viking (Edwin) ran out of the village and went to
the Anglo-Saxon village to help stop the ogre (Gobi). He
asked a women and a man and he said ‘’please help us
there is a beast in out village and its watching over us’’
also they were called Ingrid and Magnus and those warriors
were shocked and they went to tell Cynewise the
unbelievable news. The queen Cynewise was in fright
and they all rushed with there bows and axes to fight the
fierce, dangerous OGRE! As soon as they got to the watch
tower they started shooting their bows and arrows and
also chopping down the watch tower. The ogre (Gobi)
was screaming with terror and started to fall down the
tower, as they started to finish off the beast all of the Vikings
were congratulating the Anglo-Saxons and Edwin
became king and made there be peace and harmony with
the Anglo Saxons and Vikings. They had a party to be
thankful for what the Anglo-Saxon had done for them
they were eating chicken and turkey also drinking wine
and beer and they were all so happy.
If the Viking king was nice enough to let the dead Saxon
live, If they were already at world peace than, King Berta
would of never been killed by the ogre (Gobi). The Anglo-Saxons
and Vikings started to pack up their things and
go Denmark to get more crops and food and so they can
make more huts and houses and they can make a village
together. They were wondering if there was going to be
another monster but they didn’t know the beast was right
under their noses…
Congrats Tia - adding an ogre to the
action was inspired.

The Big Battle

The story opens when; Guthrum was getting married to
Berta the Brave, who was the strongest warrior of the
Vikings. Alfred, who was the Anglo Saxon king, wanted
revenge on the Viking king Guthrum because he had
stepped on his territory without his permission. The vast
and open territory was quickly taken by Alfred the Saxon
king. The grand and beautiful hall that Guthrum had built
Alfred wanted because the hall was so enormous and all
the villagers had been going there and not paying any attention
to Alfred. He was so angry because they had been
going there for more than 50 years.
Immediately, the party was interrupted by the very unusual
thing. Everyone was so shocked. It was so crowded by
all the people wanting to see what it was. It was as dark
as the bottom of the ocean. Berta could smell something
fishy was going to happen. They were heading to the
battle field so everyone headed were the thing was going.

still alive. Alfred had shown his face to Tate and Guthrum.
They were all shocked and suddenly…

Beowulf

It all began when Beowulf, who was the most fearsome
Saxon warrior and great king, died many years earlier
and left behind his two children, Harold and Ingrid. They
were the only heirs to the throne and Harold was still a
young man. The people in the kingdom were furious as
they were shocked that Harold as would be too young
to be their next king. Harold, who was only seventeen
years old, was so strong and manly he acted like he was
king already. Harold found it difficult to understand why
the people were objecting to him becoming the next king.
From within the walls of the great, lofty hall outside
looked poor, compared to the greatness of the glorious
building. The people to Harold were peasants and the villagers
HATED him!
Harold was spoilt, and was a bully to every one – even
Ingrid – but made an exception for his best friend Tate.
Tate, who use to be a very tall and caring young man was
turned bitter by Harold’s selfish influence. Tate had dark
brow hair and almost the same colour eyes, his lips were
as red as roses because of his skin, which was as pale as a
pebble.
One bright morning, Harold was awoken by shouting
coming from outside his open window. Harold called a
maid to wake-up his little sister so they could investigate
what was happening. When they arrived outside they
found the detectives calling to Harold. They were investigating
Beowulf’s death scene and discovered his sword,

which now belonged to Harold and Ingrid.
After this discovery Harold declared war between
him, with his army and all of the people who didn’t
agree with him being king. So after their armies were
prepared they trotted on their horses to the battle
fields were they fought for hours until finally most of
his men were dead and Harold gave in. for the next
three years Harold was just a prince and every night
hoped he would be a new king.
Hey Jessica - good idea to use Beowulf
as a hero for your story! It's the oldest
poem written in English.

The Battle of Warriors

It begins when a Viking, Halfdan the Hard, who lost his
temper quickly had a disagreement with the Saxon leader,
Tate the Great. Ingrid, who was a Anglo Saxon warrior,
was not impressed with her leader because he set foot on
his land. The vast, open land was instantly becoming over
taken by the wicked Vikings.
When the sun was fading , Halfdan and his Viking warriors
were training on the endless , dead battlefield getting
ready for the next attack with the Saxons. It was
important to gather as much of King Alfred’s land as soon
as possible to ensure Vikings could rule. This would
result in a violent, vicious battle . In the distance , across
the colossal, wide hills the king saw some suspicious
movements on the horizon. King Harold warned all the
warriors and his leader Halfdan that something was approaching
and told them to prepare. The king knew what
the Vikings wanted and he didn't want them to succeed.
The line of attack along the hill was as long as The Amazon
River.
As soon as possible , the king asked Halfdan and his warriors
to go and slay the Viking’s hairy beast, Cynewise.
Halfdan who was trying to kill the beast once and for all
and stop the Vikings continuing their path of destruction.
However it was too late. Halfdan was slain and so was
Cynewise . King Harold was devastated that Halfdan was
dead and so Halfdans family .
King Harold sent out letters to find a new leader and some

warriors to fight in battles and to train to fight monsters.
King Harold was still heart broken about Halfdan
but, the Kings wife said it is time to move on.
And the King found new fighters.

Tate the Terroriser

It opens with Tate the Terroriser who was the most solid
and fierce female warrior in the Anglo Saxon army. Berta,
who was the Viking King’s wife, did not like Tate as she
had caused terror over the people of her kingdom. Tate
helped to defend her king’s kingdom as it was rapidly
being overtaken by the Saxons who rampaged over towns
and villages day after day.
At dawn when the sun started to rise, Berta was sat with
her King in the lofty great hall with all of the Viking warriors.
When the Saxons arrived at Berta’s land the Saxons
can se Berta and his warriors eating a big feast When Berta
and his warriors came out side to get some freezing air
but the Saxons are sneaking up on Berta and kidnap her
then Berta’s warriors can se the Saxons…
Fifty years later, the battle started on the grassy battlefield
but Tate the terroriser crept into the lofty hall and eat a
big feast and opened the door and killed Berta then someone
became a new king. When the new king joined the
Vikings he started to win some battles but Tate is upset
because their villages said to Tate that you shouldn’t be
king because she always want a battle and always hungry
the Vikings king is called Alfred.c
Alfred is training his warriors because later on this night
against Tate because Alfred wants to get revenge for Berta.
Tate and his warriors are eating in the lofty hall because
Tate is greedy and she never trains her warriors and
Tate’s warriors are fed up because their not aloud to train

ecause Tate thinks that her warriors tough then said not
to train. After this the battle is starting Alfred is fighting
so Tate was tied so she got hit then she fell to the
ground and Alfred slaughtered Tate so the Vikings got
revenge.

Saved by Tate the Great

It all began when, a secret warrior whose name was Tate,
who was young and brave saved the day of some burnt
cakes. Magnus, who was not a very clever king, tried to
bake some cakes because he wanted to nibble on some
delicious cake that he made by himself. The small village
was smoothly turning into smoke from the burning fire.
But turns out that it was planned by Wulfric….
All of a sudden the person in the watch tower caught a
glimpse of a disturbance that was unusual bit didn’t think
anything about it. The watch tower was a towering block
and had four windows at the top and at the bottom it was
all pure bricks that looked like they couldn’t be knocked
down at all even by the strongest warrior. It also had a
black and white clock like a panda but not sweet or cute.
Once again the man at the watch tower seen more unusual
things he started seeing smoke and flames and heard
crackling noises like a fire. The man ran down the watch
towers stairs to get a closer look and it was a fire. The fire
was spreading like you would spread butter on a piece of
toast. In the distance he seen a man looking at the burning
fire and destroying every thing in its path. If you looked
closely you would see a smirk on his face. The man at the
watch tower stared at the man and recognized his face it
was Wulfric he had made the fire bigger by setting another
part of the kitchen on fire when no body looking he is
very cheeky. The man at the watch tower just ran of because
he new if he got in Wulfric way he would kill him.

Everyone was running around screaming sum people
getting caught by the fire. Children crying And there
Wulfric is standing there and laughing.
Until, an arrow shot past him and all of a sudden he had
stopped laughing. He turned around and seen Tate and
said loud and clear: ‘ Tate you are back again trying to
save this village well you are to late the fire is hear but
it is not me who you should be blaming it on the king
he started it I just carried it on, you cant stop me and
you no it plus you are a girl and u are only nineteen’
Tate replied ‘ I may be a girl and I may be young but I
will do anything to save this village even if it means me
getting killed’ Tate shot an arrow and it hit him in the
leg and made him paralyzed so he could not move. She
ran of in a hurry to save the village the fire was close to
hitting were the king lives but then people seen Tate
and felt safe nor they new what her name was they felt
like they would be ok no matter what happens. Tate had
a look around to see what she could do to stop the fire
but the was only buckets and a pond deep in the forest
and then he seen a water tower and because it was old
and wooden she shot arrows and kicked it and climbed
to the top and jumped of a tree and all the water fell out
and dried out the fire and she saved the day.
4 years later…The days had passed from when Tate
saved the day and every one was all happy but once
again Tate was gone and did not take any of the credit
but she new she saved the day and the people of the
village know that to. Tate was never to be seen again.
From that day Tate was known as Tate the Great.

The Watch Tower

It begins when Wulfric was on top of the watch tower,
watching whilst making cakes, to see for no problems
today. He was watching for hours, when its late he goes to
bed, and two days and still nothing. He then went back to
have a rest. He invited a friend over. His name was Harold.
To check the back side they had there cake. He talk to
Harold that he was watching for three whole days, when
there banquet was over they had a rest.
On the fourth day they waked up, they put the fourth
cake, he was going to have a break and come back next
week he had a watch and still nothing so he came back
to his house and will come back to the watch tower next
week. He was a bit less excited so he went to his bed and
go to sleep.
One week later he went back to the watch tower with Harold
to check invasion’s. Then suddenly a army where the
Vikings where invading the watch tower. Even there nemesis
Magnus and Ingrid where there. Wulfric and Harold
where scandalous to see them in the army and got their
weapons. There was bow shooting, fire smoke and grenade
blowing. When they came back the fire alarm went
off the cake was in the oven for too long they where at the
top of the tower and the top is below the kitchen.
When they got everything they went outside, Gunnhild
call the fire fighter’s and then fight the Vikings.
The only one’s left was Magnus and Ingrid they had the
most intense battle ever then there over ones they had,

then Gunnhild and Ingrid where knockout then the
only ones left where Cynewise and Magnus where
the only one’s left they sword fight bow fight, then
Cynewise tricked Magnus and knocked him out they
went back to there island. The fire men arrived and
put the fire out the tower was fine and kept on watching
for trouble again.
Then after 4 days they went to come back next month
then when they left there was one Viking left and
went and watch for Anglo Saxons...

Edward the Extraordinary

It opens when a girl called Astrid, who always wanted
to be a hero, was a mighty Viking warrior. In Germany,
Harold, who was Saxon king at the time, declared that a
true hero who is mighty and strong will become the next
leader of his army. Within days,Vidar who was the leader
of the Viking army wanted to know if Edwin or Wulfric
was going to be chosen as the next Saxon warrior leader.
The Vikings were trying to invade Germany at the time
and tried to take their land.
When the sun rose in month of August, King Alfred was
eating with all the woman and men in the great hall of
wonder. As he looked around his kingdom he saw misty,
dark clouds were herding for his village. the Gremlin
Saxon warriors went to PROTECT the villagers but the
old king died in fright. Now it was time for Edwin or
Wulfric to take the chance of becoming the next ruler. Unfortunately
both warriors died under the Vikings swords
and no king was choosen.
However during battle, all of the other gremlins attacked
the attacking Viking warriors. More and more and more
people died by fright as well… it was a bloody battle until
the end.

The Kidnapping:
the story of
Kate the Great

It opens in the town in Denmark there lived a warrior
named Tate, who was reading a book she was alone. Her
dad hated the Viking King Magnus because he killed his
wife .She was a tall, blonde lovely girl who everyone
liked. The land was deeply guarded with Saxon warriors,
one was called Edwin.
Late at night everyone was asleep. The Saxon king and
his children Astrid and Ingrid were asleep in the Great
Hall. Meanwhile King Magnus and his Vikings were planning
to kidnap the kings daughters so they could bribe
him to give the Vikings the last of the land in Britain.
Inside the Castle, the princess woke up and she was in the
watch tower. The young girl, who was scared of a Viking
attack was worried her father would get killed in the next
attack. She could hear the wind swishing around but could
only see darkness. Back at the hall her dad woke up to
find she was gone and he panicked. He discovered a Viking
helmet near their hall a few days before and he was
madder then mad, he was so crazy he sent Edwin to find
her and bring her back to the hall by midnight.
Soon enough Edwin arrived in the village. He climbed

into the tower and searched for the princess but when
he reached the top he was attacked by Vikings. Tate
saw what was happening and ran to the tower with
her bow and arrow. She fired a shot through the tower
windows and distracted the Vikings so Edwin could
kill them. After a tough battle Edwin slayed all of
the warriors using just his sword and his shield. He
couldn’t thank Tate saving his life.
Finally, Edwin discovered the princess alone hidden
in the tower and sent for the king. Quickly after,
the king arrived and he looked at his daughter. He
thanked Edwin for being a loyal warrior but Edwin
told him that Tate was the great warrior who saved
them all.

THE BIG BATTLE
Danny
It all began when Wulfric the warrior, who was great and
powerful, had a disagreement with Gunnhild the Gunner.
He was frightening warrior, he had brown fuzzy hair, a
metal shield which was as strong as a tank, and metal
armour. Wulfric who was a brave warrior king, was not
impressed with Gunnhild the gunner because he saved
one of the most evil villains of all time.
The villain was kidnapped and put into a burning hut.
When the day was breaking,Wulfric and his warriors
jumped out of their warm slumber and enjoyed a lovely
banquet in the towering vivid hall building. An hour
later across the enormous hills, Gunnhild the gunner saw
something strange across the crystal clear sea. He spotted
Wulfric’s warriors travelling across the sea to ambush his
men.
The villain who was kidnapped, was saved by Gunnhild
the gunner even knew he was a villain but Wulfric said to
Gunnhild the gunner:
"WHY DID YOU SAVE HIM,HE WAS ONE OF THE
MOST EVIL VILLAINS OF ALL TIME, ARE YOU
STUPID?”
Gunnhild the gunner replied: ”BECAUSE HE IS A
VILLAIN, LIKE ME!”
This conversation started a battle. Wulfric’s warriors
were nearby and he signalled them over to help him. It
all descended into chaos. Half of Gunnhild the Gunner’s

men were killed and only two of Wulfric’s men were
killed. And then when all of Gunnhild the gunners
men were killed ,Wulfric said to his men retreat, retreat
I will take it from here. Then Wulfric discovered
a axe and killed Gunnhild the Gunner.
Two days later, Wulfric and his warriors were celebrating,
drinking wine and eating a lots of rich food
when one of his warriors said:
“I wonder if there is another villain out ther for us to
defeat.”
Wulfric replied: "Maybe there is, you never know.
We will always be protectors of the land.”
But little did they know what was coming…

Robo Bot

Robo bot (CS1) was fliying in the
sky when he saw robo dog in side
a volcano hanging onto the mouth
edge about to fall into the larva.
He flies down and as he lands
next to him in the burning heat ,
the volcano begins to erupt. So
quickly, cs1 extends a steel arm
and grabs onto robo dog and flies
him away to safety.
They kept flying until they
spotted an illuminated escalator
leading down to an underground
city, where CS1 unleashed robo
dog to find his owner Zingy the
rolling robot...

Big Machine Robot

"Woah!" Kelvin cried.
He climbed out of his floating sleep pod.
He said good morning to Bula, his mom and his dad.
Kelvin went to the Vaccu-Suk 3000 to get all the dirt off
his body. Kelvin got his mom and dad to the escape pod
and went to school.
Kelvin left the escape pod and entered his school and said
hi to Spotch and Zot.
He ran to his class and sits down next to Spotch and was
given his book and started working.
Kelvin started looking at yesterdays work and he got an
A** on his test and got every single question right!
After school he waited until mom and dad left home and
used the big machine robot his dad made a while ago.
Kelvin's family made it heavier so it does not go out of
control in the middle of space!
They made sure Erik's mind was removed from the robot!
Kelvin, his mom and his dad made the whole machine
zorb proof so if it went near the zorb it would not loose
contact and stop working so now it stays up when it is
near the zorb!
Now his plan B is in action! This is what he needs to do
to try again at beating the person who is trying to steal the
zorb and take over the universe!
Great story LUKE. Well done! What
will Kelvin and his robot do next?

1) Kelvin needs to get all of his friends especially
Mippit as it is a robot and contacts Kelvin's dad if
anything bad happens.
2) Kelvin and his friends will fly out near the zorb
and watch if anyone comes to steal the zorb.
3) Go on from there!
So Kelvin climbs up to the robot's escape pod and on
his way to the zorb he sees amazing sights one was a
meteor another one was Saturn and another one was
a...ZORB!!!!
One bad thing though the robber is still alive but
Kelvin had a thought about using his time machine
to turn back time to try and kill the robber so let the
plan begin!
ZZZZZZZZZZZZUPPPPPPPPPP! They were back
to 2 hours ago.
They waited for Erik in teddy form to BEAT HIM
UP!! They met him in the control pad of the robot
machine and killed him.
Obviously that means Bula's teddy was left in shreds
so Kelvin took it to his dads fixing machine and they
lived happily ever after.

Goblin Trouble

Not too long ago, there were two children called Goldie
and Jay. Their mother had taken them to Meldon Park
to go on a Nature Trail. On their list was Tulip, Clover
and Oak Tree. Their mother left them to find the things
together. They found the tulip in the flower bed and the
clover in the grass but they couldn't find the Oak Tree.
They walked until they found an oak tree in the centre
of the park. They ticked the box and headed to mother
just when a sparkling caught Jay's eye. "Hey, what's
that?" asked Jay. Goldie picked the sparkling thing up.
It was a diamond ring! They didn't know it was used
to summon a fairy. They were just about to tell mother
when they heard a small voice. They looked up in the
tree and saw a fairy. She waved at them and said
"Hello, can you help me? I have a little bit of trouble
with a naughty goblin!" Goldie and Jay replied,
"How did this happen?" The fairy replied with
"My friend, Snowdrop accidentally spawned a naughty
goblin instead of a good elf."
"How can we help?" cried the children.
The fairy said to them:
"If I give you magical powers and I turn you into a fairy
and an elf, would you track down the goblin for me?"
"Yes!" said the children.
They set off and the fairy (who was called Daffodil)
transformed Jay into an elf and Goldie into a fairy.

They crept into the naughty goblin's lair and
Daffodil used a dandelion to make the goblin fall
asleep. Then Goldie used her ice power that Daffodil
gave her to make an ice cage. Then Jay used
his gravity powers that Daffodil gave him to get the
goblin into the cage. Then Daffodil lead them home
and within a few seconds they were with mother,
who never even knew what great adventures they had
been on!
Great tale Harmony. It was cool that
you got all the characters talking.

man, who loved his horse, Thunder. Thunder was
an epic runner. He was speedy! He was a black, young
horse with a useful talent. Arnold was walking through
the forest of Eplica, heading towards the castle when he
heard the screaming of Queen Livia. "Whats wrong?"
asked Arnold. "Princess Loretta was captured! Sir Arnold!
Please help!" replied Queen Livia gloomily, "A
dragon has captured her!" Arnold looked into the forest.
"I saw a huge crater-looking cave earlier. Is that the
dragon's cave?" "Yes, and she has been locked into a
cage! Can you help?" cried the Queen. "I sure can! my
Queen!" answered Arnold. "Wait!" shouted the queen,
"Take this crystal ball to help you. It has the power to
burn and to make things." Sir Arnold took the weapon
and set off. He cut the vines and made his way to the
cave he saw earlier. When he arrived, he looked down
at the cave. It was immense. He was exhausted from
cutting through the vines and stomping through the
leaves. He couldn't give up now, he was too far into the
forest. It was now or never. He sneaked down into the
cave and took out his crystal ball. This also produced
light and this was good as the cave was pitch black. The
looked all directions and saw the dragon guarding Princess
Loretta. "HELP!" cried Loretta, who was terrified.

Sir Arnold fought his way. He threw crystal balls everywhere
as the dragon dodged every single ball he
threw. Then he made a shield with the crystal ball to
dodge the burning fire. As he couldn't kill him with the
crystal ball, he just used it as a light. He needed to use his
sword. It was really sharp, and it was just what he needed.
He stabbed the dragon in the chest and set Princess Loretta
free. After this, Sir Arnold was a famous knight and the
village of Eplica lived happily ever after.

The Sugar Glider

The Portal
The sugar glider goes up a tree and gets
a magic potion from his hole in the tree.
Monty the dog and Nathan have to swallow
it and they shrink and are carried back up
the tree. In the tree there is a multi-colored
portal that flies them in.
Nathan and Monty are surprised to
see mountain range with the ruby ring
of power shining at the top. The tallest
mountain was covered in snow. Charging
of the horses knocked him out. Now a big
red cut, from his eye to his ear, appeared
on his panicked-looking face.
What's going to happen now that
Nathan and Monty the dog are
through the portal? We can't wait
to find out...

Poison Dart Frog

Jeff finds him self on top a village house.
Joe the poison dart frog is lying next to
him and wakes up Jeff by pulling his eyes
open using his webbed fingers.
Jeff saw his next door neighbour waking
him up.
"What are you doing here?" they both
said at the same time. Meanwhile they
could feel heat rays coming from below
Jeff decided to jump with Joe and try to
jump to the other house because...there is
a fire going on below.
Great story! Poor old Jeff. Will

AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!
A piercing scream filled the calm still midday
air. Lucia, Maximus and Vibus heard the scream
from their back yard. It was 1st November 384
A.D, the day of the awesome fight. That scream
came from the Emperor Antonius. First let me
show you our characters: Maximus who was
tall, dark hair, and optimistic Lucia is exactly
the same age as Maximus and eyes as blue as
the sea and Vibus was the same as Maximus.
Maximus was extremely puzzled. “I wonder
who that was” He muttered but he continued
playing chopsticks in his back yard in his villa
on the border of Ostia. The other 2 were also
puzzled
“I wonder who that was?” They said in unison.
They have this thing about saying stuff in unison.
“You 3 come into the atrium something
and someone is here for you..."

“GAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSPPPPPPP!”
They all fell to their knees. The emperor Antonius
was at their door!! “No don’t bother with all that
stuff” he exclaimed. “Now I need to tell you something”
the emperor was looking extremely extremely
extremely alarmed. “Now I’ve had to call the fight
off. Lucia collapsed so Maximus gave her some oil
and she soon came back round from unconsciousness.
“You cancelled it really?”
“Yes,” said the emperor convincingly “because I lost
my sword and shield.”
Lucia fell over again. Maximus groans
“Uuuuuuggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!”
When she came back round she said “SO?”
So the emperor says reasonably “I’ll hire you for
200 census a day to find them."
The children agreed, collected their money and
went.

“I mean we’ve done some hard stuff but this one
takes the biscuit.” Maximus exclaims.
“HMMM...” Vibus thinks. Lucia gets up and says
“Well, we have to start somewhere, don’t we” and
they left. So they went to the emperor and said
“Can we please borrow a cecus?” The curious
emperor let them have one without any question.

So they went through the street asking soldiers
and knocking on doors until they came to a particularly
grim one on the other side of Ostia. No
one answered… Maximus was getting tired of
it all. “Look at this rate the emperor will die of
boredom! “he exclaimed “no don’t worry about
him it will be me who does it first .“
“Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it will be hard and
the emperor might say no” exclaimed Maximus
harshly to the young
Vibus. He started crying extremely loudly and
much to Lucia’s annoyance max stormed out
the villa and down the lane. The next day he and
started planning himself eventually he came up
with this idea:-
We go into our cellar with a giant hammer and
knock down the walls from our house to the
grim one and get the sword and shield then sprint
home as fast as we can. Then we go to the emperor
and give him his things. “You know that’s
not a bad plan” says Lucia “well it’s the only plan
we’ve got snapped Maximus.”OK OK We will
Use it. “Oh ta sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
ooooo much, for once.”
They were at the forge collecting the hammer
they started. . . . . .

To cut one heck of a story short it worked.
The slaves built the walls back up plus the
emperor covered the cost of everything the
walls had hammered. They got invited to
a feast and got in the royal box with pretty
much free admission!
At the feast they had pie pig heads, peacock
and parrot brains. They were really stuffed!!
You name it they had it. They had the fight on
the 5th November. THE EMPROR WON!

The Magical Ring

Once there lived a beautiful young girl called Vibia. Vibia
was very brave and was determined to do her best. She was
very good at horse riding. Vibia horse rode every day before
jobs, she did since she was 2. Vibia’s talents were obviously
horse riding and climbing. It was a sunny day and her
brown shinny hair was shining by the morning sun light.
Her emerald green eyes were glowing as she rid past glimmering
blue water near Rome. Vibia lived by the harbour
near Rome. As she was riding in to the stable she saw a boy
but then he rode up to her. The boy said “hello my name is
Maximus what is yours.” She replied “my name is Vibia, so
you go horse riding as well as me.” The boy said “yes, let’s
be friends want to practise.” Vibia said “of course” by this
time Vibia was a bit red! It looked like she liked him! So
they went to the woodlands it had a dusty path they rode on
.The woodlands opened at a small opening the trees were
yellow, orange and green the sun was shining threw it was
beautiful. “Wow!” said Vibia! Vibia rode back to the stables
with Maximus. They put their horses away in their stables.
Vibia walked home with her other horse. Vibius saw her
father, her father greeted her at their front door. “Father?”
she hesitated “when is mum going to come back?” Her dad
replied “she is not coming back for a while.” Vibia looked
let down. Then looked at her hand expecting to see the ring
her mum gave her. It was gone! She gasped in horrror. She
jumped on her horse and set off. Maximus was still there
brushing his horse. Vibia said “my ring is gone! “He replied
you left it here look. Vibia said “ow” in a embarrassed tone.
Vibia was in the garden the next day looking at one of her
scrolls, and found her ring in the page it said the magic ring!
The fountain was trickling and the peach trees were blowing

in the wind. Her scroll also said the ring was able to grant you
three wishes. After that there was a picture. She got her ring
and compered it to hers and she was right! It had a ruby with diamonds
and emeralds with a gold backing it was just like Vibias! Vibia
was confused it couldn’t be true. Vibia went to bed. In the morning
Vibia got of bed and got on her horse . She met Maximus so she
said ”hi Maximus , how are you doing?” He replied “not very well
because my horse Ash is not eating much.” At that they both jumped
on their horses not knowing were to go so they just trotted around.
When they got back they put their horses away. Vibia went home
and got into her bed. While Vibia was sleeping a man was walking
around the stable and caught sight of Vibias ring! In the morning
Vibia realised her ring was gone. Vibia arrived at the stable and the
case was still there but the ring was not! Then Maximus arrived and
Vibia said “my ring my ring has been stolen “he replied “follow
the foot prints!” As they followed the footprints they met at the sea
shore and climbed on a boat from the shore. They sailed away it was
beautiful the sun was setting and the dolphins were jumping around
the boat. It was a long way to travel just in a canoe around the coast.
Then Vibia asked “are there any islands nearby?” Maximus replied
“yes but it is very overgrown and a little bit secret” Vibia exclaimed
“Take me there.” Suddenly CRACK, a crack appeared on the boat.
The boat was sinking. Vibia and Maximus jumped into the water.
They swam to the island and made beds with leaves and moss. It
was the morning when Vibia was picking fruits and Maximus was
making baskets out of vines and mud. Suddenly “AAHH” Vibia fell
down a hole and called up “I am fine just a few scratches.”Vibia
ventured further and saw a cave then she saw her ring! She grabbed
it than turned around. A man was looking at her and he threw Vibia
behind bars! Vibia. Vibia had the ring still. Maximus got some vines
and climbed down got the key to the door Maximus opened the door.
Vibia knew the man she saw was Augustus. She climbed up the vine.
They got up to the boat and jumped on. When they got back her dad
asked “Where have you been!” She replied. “Sometimes life is a
mystery.” Vibia turned around and saw a Pegasus her wish came
true!
Hurrah for Pegasus!

The Stolen Statue

It was the year 32AD, Emperor Lucius was going around
Rome checking everything was in order while his wife
Julia and his daughter Lucia were both at the palace. Lucia
had long curly brown hair, a few freckles scattered across
her nose and chocolate brown eyes. Julia was helping the
slave do the laundry work while Lucia was lying around
on the soft green grass gazing up at the sapphire blue sky.
Suddenly there was a scream of shock coming from the
store room.
“Mama what is it?” Lucia cried as she ran into the storeroom.
“Th-Th-The statue of your papa is gone!” she cried.
“Well maybe – maybe pater took it with him?” Lucia suggested.
“No he would of told me” Julia said sounding very worried.
“Then what’s happened to it?”
“Somebody must of stolen it!”
“I don’t know.” Julia breathed. Looking so white she could
have been mistaken for a ghost.
“I’m home!” Lucius cried as he walked in the door.
“Julia dear, you look like you’ve just seen a ghost!” he exclaimed
as he put a scroll in a china pot.
“Pater! Pater! The statue’s gone!” Lucia cried.
“What statue?” Lucius asked sounding worried. Lucia
dragged him into the store-room, and where the statue used
to stand was nothing but a wax candle.
“Oh no! Oh no! Oh no!” cried Lucius, now looking whiter
than Julia.
“Maximus!” Lucius shouted, a slave called Maximus
rushed in.

“Yes sir, how may I help you?”
“Where’s the statue of my father? Because it seems to have
gone missing! Have you seen it?” Lucius demanded. Maximus
scratched his head.
“Errmm. No sir I haven’t seen it.” Lucius sighed impatiently.
“Then where could it have gone? Walked of on its own?
Because I don’t think so!”
“I’ll go and check Tita in the laundry room, maybe she’s
seen it.” suggested Maximus and hurried off. Lucius put his
head in his hands.
“We’ll find it dear,” said Julia reassuringly.
“Mama’s right Pater we’ll find it, I’m going to look in the
study maybe Antonia’s moved it while dusting.” Lucia
went off in search for the statue but it was nowhere to be
seen.
“It must have been stolen, there’s no other explanation,”
Lucia heard Julia say.
“You’re right, tomorrow I will gather all of my soldiers
and they will search the whole of Rome. While us and the
slaves will search the palace.” said Lucius.
The next day Lucia rushed down the stairs and into the
kitchen. Julia and Lucius were nowhere to be seen, the only
person in the room was Vibia the cook who cooked delicious
meals.
“Where’s mama and pater?” Lucia asked as she sat down.
Vibia put some raw bread dough on the stove and replied.
“I don’t have a clue chicken! Why don’t you search the
living room.” so Lucia went off to the living room but they
were nowhere to be seen. When Lucia finally found Julia,
Julia was looking for something in one the spare rooms.
Lucia was just about to ask what she was looking for and

suddenly it hit her! Julia was looking for the statue. She
looked in cupboards and in wardrobes, everywhere.
“Mama, where’s Pater?” Lucia asked
“What? Pater’s going around Rome looking for the statue.”
Julia answered without looking up. Lucius was so
determined to find the statue. Then suddenly a thought
hit her. Looking back she remembered… Vibius walking
into the palace looking at the statue, asking how heavy it
was, asking how many slaves it would take to lift it and
very curious on how to open the gate around the palace.
“Mama I think a know who stole the statue!”
“Who?!” Julia asked getting curious.
“Vibius.” Lucia replied, Julia thought for a moment and
then nodded in agreement.
“Yes.” she said very slowly. But when Lucius came home
he said no. Apparently Vibius was such a kind man.
“That’s the problem Pater, he’s probably trying to make
you think that he didn’t do it.” Then Lucius gave in. He
did talk to Vibius and he did think that Vibius was guilty
but he had no evidence.
A few weeks later, early one morning Lucia woke up
and went downstairs, in the store room she found her Pater,
her Mama, Vibius and the statue! Julia took one look
at her daughter’s shocked face and explained everything,
Lucia was right about Vibius stealing the statue. The statue
had been hidden in a very old tomb and Vibius stole
it by gathering every single one of his slaves and making
them lift it up. It all made sense now. So from that day on
they had guards by the statue and Lucia is now 12. It was
the year34AD and Lucia the solver of the biggest crime
in Rom, lived a very happy life.

Freya The Fierce

Freya held her broadsword high. She saw the
Vikings in their dragon boat so she quickly hid
behind the rocks. She started to shake as she
was very nervous. The Vikings came to land.
The Viking Ingrid came out last. Freya jumped
out and swung her broadsword. They fought
but Freya knew she couldn't win so she tricked
Ingrid and swiftly hid in the bushes. Ingrid
caught up with the other Vikings. Then, Freya
cautiously came out of the bush and sneaked
onto their ship. She stole their runestone and
ran to the King's Palace. Freya hid under the
stairs, waiting for the Vikings to arrive. The
Vikings broke a hole in the wall and peered
around. Freya jumped out when Ingrid went
up the stairs and they fought again. Freya,
accidentally dropped her broadsword and got
cornered. Ingrid lunged at Freya with her sack.
'Got you!' she yelled with a rough voice. Ingrid
ran to Freya but tripped. Freya ran as fast as
she could and took Ingrid's rune. Outside she

quickly wrote on the runestone 'Come to the
boat Ingrid we're waiting!'. Then Freya hid
behind the dumpster. Ingrid saw the runstone
and wailed 'I have let down my friends!' and
she ran towards the ship. Then she found
another Viking called Olav who had their axe
out. Freya held up her broadsword and bravely
swung it. Olav dodged it and tripped. Freya put
her sword to his neck. He ran off and told his
friends to go back. Freya went home after a
long day.

Bottom of the
sea

One stormy day Max and Julius were on a
dusty old ship. Max was XII years old, he had
brown hair and sparkling blue eyes. He was part
of Julius’ crew. Julius was XXV. He had black
hair and diamond eyes. His nickname was the
Black Dragon. “Oi!” Shouted Julius. “Get back
to work.” “Yes captain.” Max sighed. Max’s
mother and father had died when Max was only
V. He was put into slavery because of that. They
were out on the sea from VI in the morning till
IX in the evening searching for other ships to
shoot down for their loot.
Julius, who was looking for ships, spotted a
grand, gold ship. “Fire!” Shouted Julius. BOOM!
Went the cannon.
“You got ‘em Max,”exclaimed Julius. Soon
they went to investigate. Slowly, the ship was
sinking. When they got there they found a golden
haired, brown eyed girl. I know that girl thought
Max. The wind dropped. There was a deathly
silence. Slowly Julius approached the girl.
“Ha ha ha,” boomed Julius.

“W-what are you doing?” Stammered Max.
“Do not ask your captain questions,” shouted
Julius. At IX, Max, who was in bed, was thinking
about who the girl could be. Suddenly he heard
a sound. What could it be? It was loud. There
were pauses. There were screams! He rushed
out to investigate. The girl was struggling. A
few seconds later she was down in the ship’s
deck.
Max hid behind some barrels. Julius went to
his bed. Max saw his chance. Julius however
was on the lookout.
“Oi. Max. Come here,”
“Ok,” Max sighed.
“I’ve got the key. Did you really think I was
going to fool for that one,” said Julius.
“I’m going to tell everyone about you!”
screamed Max.
“Oops,” Julius said sarcastically. “I dropped
it to the bottom of the sea!”
After a silence Max dived in the water! He
took a deep breath and he was gone. It was a
dark and murky water. Fish were everywhere.
Little did he know that it was a shark infested
water! As he was swimming he saw a shark. And
another. And another! Why did I go swimming
in shark infested water? Max thought. After a

“Sure want to beat you up,” replied Julius.
Max, who had been trained by Julius, ran
forward and hit Julius’ sword. The fight
went back and forth. After X minutes Max
had the strength to take one more shot
at knocking Julius out. He did it, and it
knocked him out! The waves calmed. The
only thing that could be heard were the
screams of the girl. Before he dived back
into the sea he went to the door and softly
said “Hi. My name is Max. I’m going to
rescue you,”
“Thank you,” said the girl.
“What’s your name?” asked Max.
“Tita,” Tita said. “daughter of king
Vibius II,”
“I’ve got to dive in the water to find the
key to this door,” said Max. So he dived into
the salty water and swam as fast as he could

to the bottom of the sea. The first attempt he
didn’t find anything. Same with the second. But
on the third it was different. As he swam to the
bottom he saw a glistening in the water. What
could it be? Max, whose toga was wet, swam
towards it. It was the key! He quickly grabbed
it and swam up to the ship. His skilful hands
unlocked the door and found the girl lying on
her back asleep. “Wake up” cried Max. When
she got up she flung her arms around Max.
“Thank you so much Max,” she said. Max went
up to get the ship on course for the palace. In a
few minutes they were there. When they got to
the castle gates, Tita did the code and the gate
opened. Tita ran as fast as her legs could carry
her. She ran straight into her father’s arms.
“Hello,” boomed the king. “Did you rescue
my girl?”
“Yes sir,” replied Max.
“Then you’ll get a BIG reward. What do you
want?”
“I don’t know. Actually I would like to live
with you because I don’t have a home,” replied
Max.
What do you want Tita?” asked Vibius.
“Yes of course,” the girl replied. And from
that day on they lived happily ever after.

that Julious Caesar himself was kidnapped
by pirates when he was 17
years old. Maybe you should tell the
whole story.

Never Ending
Adventures

In 36-AD it was a very hot sunny day in Rome.
Lucia, the rulers daughter, had just started a
wonderful walk down the village. While she was
walking she saw a young man and it looked like
he was struggling to pay for some food, so Lucia
slowly walked up to him. Lucia began to get
puzzled.
“Are you ok?” Lucia asked, but he didn’t reply.
She thought he was daydreaming but he wasn’t, he
was looking out to the glistening sea. For a while
he was just standing there. Soon enough Lucia
tapped him on his shoulder and he just suddenly
snapped out of it . After a while he asked “What
do you want?” For a minute Lucia stumbled and
said “I don’t mean to bother you but why are you
looking out to the water?”
“Oh,” he replied in shock "I was waiting for my for
my pater to come back from the never ending sea.”
Scroll II
“Oh”, Lucia replied in shock. While they were

talking the boy looked a bit confused. After
some time the boy worriedly said ”I recognise
you from somewhere.”
"Oh yes sorry I forgot to tell you, I’m the
rulers daughter.” Suddenly she felt something
or someone tug her pocket. Soon enough she
forgot about it. As time went by the sun set but
at the very last minute she asked the boy how
old he was and his name. He wasn’t sure but
eventually he told her his name. The boy said
is name was Maximus but he didn’t remember
his age. Now Lucia and Maximus had finished
talking
“Bye,” he said.
“See you soon,” replied Lucia.
When she got home to her house (the shiny
temple) it was about half past 9 at night. When
Lucia got to the door she couldn’t find the key.
Soon enough she realised that the door was
open. However Lucia bravely went further in.
After a long time Lucia got out side. But when
she got to the stable one of her ponies had
gone!

After a lot of searching she spotted some
squelchy foot prints leading out of the stable
and into the forest .Now it was just about

midnight but Lucia was still searching. As
she followed the footprints she got further
in. When she reached the forest it was cold,
dark and scary. Now Lucia was starting to fall
asleep. Eventually she sat down. But she was
still half awake. Suddenly she saw a person
coming towards her. After a while she fell
asleep on a bumpy tree. As quick as a blink
Lucia woke up. Then she realised her mouth
was taped, she couldn’t move and she couldn’t
speak. Unfortunately she found an even bigger
problem. Lucia was stuck in the middle of
a cold forest with no one there. She kept on
trying to get untied or at least being able to
speak. Suddenly she saw a boy on a beautiful
chocolate horse. She thought she recognised
him from some were, so Lucia tried to call him
“hello,” Lucia asked but she couldn’t hear a
reply. After a while the boy came closer but
Lucia was still tied up so she couldn’t go any
nearer. When he came right up to her he was no
one she remembered. Soon Lucia and the boy
were face to face! However she was starting to
get quite scared so she started to try to talk to
him. But before you knew it the man wiped the
tape of mouth “Ow” she screamed. “Who are

you?” Lucia asked nervously.
“I’m Antonius.” While Antonius was talking
away Lucia spotted a shiny gold thing .She had
a feeling it was the key to get into the temple.
Scroll IV
After a while Lucia bravely tried to grab the
key from his back pocket. ”Slowly slowly,”
Lucia thought to herself. Suddenly Antonius
moved forward the tiniest bit. Luckily it didn’t
bother her. While Lucia was trying to get the
key she started a chat. She started the chat by
asking “why have you tied me up?”
“You don’t need to know,” he rudely said.
“Ok ok calm down.” Soon Antonius left but
in a grouchy way. For a couple of hours and
a couple of minutes Lucia was sitting there
still tied up and no one had rescued her. After
a while there was somebody coming her way
.This time Lucia was sure it was someone she
knew and it was. It was Maximus the guy from
the harbour.
“Hi” Lucia called out.
“Oh hi” Maximus replied in surprise.
For a while he was quite puzzled so he asked
her: “Why are you tied up?”

“I don’t really know,” she replied "But can
you untie me?”
“Oh yes sorry,” Maximus said. But suddenly
Lucia spotted someone out of the corner of
her eye - ANTONIUS!
“Quick,” she nervously muttered
“Why?”
“It doesn’t matter, just be as quick as you
can!”
“Ok I’m being as quick as I can,” he said.
But there was a problem the rope was tied and
Maximus couldn’t untie it. ”It’s too hard!”
“Snap it then,” She said.
“With what?”
“A stick!” She said quickly.
“OK”.
Finally they snapped it. But Antonius was
extremely close so they had to run for their
lives.
“What about the key!” Lucia shouted.
“It doesn’t matter now, just run”, Maximus
said. As they were running Maximus stood on
something hard and a bit sharp.
“Ow!” he screamed.
“What’s wrong?” she asked.

“I stood on something pointy.”
When Maximus stood forward and there
was the key the key to get into the temple.
Lucia wasn’t sure if it was the key to get into
the temple, so Lucia and Maximus ran to the
temple.
“Hopefully it will be the right key.” Happily
said Lucia. She placed the key into the door
handle, “Yes! Pater will be so happy I’m back”
she said proudly!

The next morning Lucia’s Pater asked her
where she was but Lucia just ignored him.
Luckily she got away with it. That day she meet
up with Maximus in the village, “Thank you
for yesterday” said Lucia.
“That’s ok”
“No really I do mean it”. After that adventure
Lucia and Maximus became best friends, and
when it was her birthday she invited him round
So it was quite an adventure!

The Emerald Key

A long, long time ago on a sunny Sunday
in Ostia. There was a girl riding a horse.
Her name was Tita. Tita was a nice young
girl with eyes as blue as the oceans. She was
eleven. She had a horse called Julius. Julius
was a black horse. When she heard her dinner
bell. She locked her stable with her favourite
keys. They were her favourite keys because
there were no other keys in the world like
that! They were emerald and ruby. Then after
she locked her stable she went back home
for dinner. When she got back home she
shouted “hello!” she shouted really loudly!
The next day she went on her favourite road.
It was her favourite road because it lead to
Londiumium (London) where her cousins
live. But it was a very bumpy road and
narrow so you could bump into people and
lose stuff. When Tita was riding her horse she
bumped into her friend! After lots of saying
are you all right Tita and other stuff. Tita

was so busy chatting that she did not notice
that her keys fell out of her pocket! They were
the ones that locked her stable. When she tried
to lock her stable she couldn’t because her keys
were lost. “uh oh” she shouted. All the birds
flew of the trees

Julius had to sleep in the stack of hay and
poo which was disgusting. The next day a boy
called Vibus went on that same road. When
Vibus bumped into one of his friends, he
found the keys! When he ran it was like he was
like he was a car! When he got back home or
to the castle. He showed his dad. His dad was
the Emperor of Rome! His dad liked keeping
stuff. He snatched it off Vibus! The Emperor
put the key in his cupboard ! That cupboard
had a code a very special code. Vibus has been
trying to crack the code since he was born
because, his father put his favourite toy in that
cupboard he hated that. He watched him put
the keys in the cupboard .

When Vibus thought he was having a bad
day he just saw the code the wonderful code.
It was turning into the best day ever! When

his father went on one of his royal walks
Vibus did everything that he needed to do.
First he made a model that looked exactly the
same as the other keys. Then he opened the
secret cupboard and got the keys. After that
he put the fake keys in the cupboard to trick
his father that the keys were the same keys as
before. Then he drew a lot of posters to put
up over the town. When he was putting up
the last poster he bumped into Tita!
“Hello” said Tita “they are my keys can I
have them please?”
“Yes you can” replied Vibus “shall we be
friends?”
“Yes of course” replied Tita. Just as they
were just about to kiss. The emperor came
and picked Vibus up and took him to the palace.
Just when they got there Vibus saw the
emperor steel something. It looked like the
queen’s key! At the stable. Tita was feeding
Julius. When she just thought about Vibus.
She ran all the way to the palace. When she
got there. The door was big or another way
to describe it gigantic. When she knocked on
the door it creaked open. When she got in
she hid just as the Emperor came by. Well at

least she thought it was the Emperor anyway.
She got a bit closer to see if it was him. It
was just a maid she was following. She followed
the maid to see if she would lead her
to Vibus. She did. When she got to Vibus.
She whispered “follow me!” and so they did
they went through jungles and deserts to find
the keys! When they got to the castle they
saw that the Emperor was stealing a key from
the guard, the jail key! He should be in the
jail she thought. They pushed him in! She
was very glad. That made Vibus the Emperor
of Rome. He was pleased with his role. He
couldn’t believe that he was the Emperor of
Rome.
Well done Hannah for this epic Roman
tale. I expect Vibious was pleased when
he became Emperor - it's the top job in
Rome. Will there be more? Hope so!

THE KEY WITH
A PICTURE

In 34 AD there was once a determined,
fearful and happy young girl named Maxima
Vibia. Her friends were called Germanica and
Lucius. Germanica was a fun, caring and rarely
was a bit scared and worried. Lucius on, the
other hand was courageous, happy and willing
to try anything. They were all playing, climbing
trees, running around in circles in a beautiful pea
green leaved forest, with chocolate brown mud
and roots sticking up everywhere you went.

“Hey, guys shall we go and climb that
tree?” shouted Lucius
So they all ran up to the imposing great oak tree,
they started climbing, Maxima stopped, and said
in amazement
“OMG, I just stepped on a hard thing in that
patch of leaves,”

The others gathered around the middle of the
tree and they all started rummaging around
the little pile of leaves. Until Maxima found a
funny shaped object with a picture of a tomb
carved into the end of it.
“I know what that is,” Germanica said.
“It’s a key but it might lead into the tombs,
because it has got a picture of a tomb on the
end of it,” Germania said in a thoughtful way.
So they climbed up to the top of the
tree and found a big, long, smooth branch. To
discuss what the key might unlock or what it
might be made of, maybe something valuable.
They discussed it for a long time until Lucius
came along the branch to get a bit closer to
the girls, so he could say his suggestion.
“I could take the key home to keep it
safe, then meet you back here tomorrow?”
suggested Lucius.
Scroll III
On the way home Lucius saw a man near
the river. The strange man came up to Lucius
in a bit of a hurry, he looked like he was going
to take something. Oh no, he might be able to
see the gold key glistening in the sun, or the
reflection in the river. The man got closer, and

closer, quick Lucius think of something, and
closer. “Look over there, there is a man with
a sword over there, it looks like he wants to
speak to you,"said Lucius.
The man ran over to where Lucius was pointing.
He ran around and around in circles
looking for the man. While Lucius turned
round to pray to gods and goddesses, praying
that a man would appear out of the forest.
Really, guess what a man with a sword
appeared out of the forest,
“Hey, Titus what are you doing running
around like crazy?” the man asked.
“Well, that boy over there said that there was
a man over here that looked like you,” said
Titus. But then the man with a sword disappeared.
Titus turned back to Lucius. The
wind stopped. There was a deathly silence.
An evil stare came from Titus. Titus ran,
snatched the key and threw it into the river.
Titus grabbed a boat and paddled out, got
the key paddled back and ran. Lucius trundled
home. He waited for tomorrow. When
he woke up he ran to the woods and saw
Maxima and Germania.
“Where’s the key?” asked Maxima.

“A man called Titus took it,” Said Lucius
glumly.
“I’ll go and find him,” Germania said bravely.

So off she went through the woods and
found a big tree with windows. She looked
through, Titus was sleeping and she saw the
key too. So she looked for an open window,
there was. She climbed through got the key
and ran away. They walked to the tombs and
opened the door. “WOW!” they all said.
“I’m happy,” said Maxima.
“I’m glad,” said Germania.
“We are all so relived!” Said Lucius.
Great story Rose. Well done!
You can't beat a mysterious key. Every
time a key comes into the story - your
readers will think: I wonder what that
key will unlock?

The Minoric

Long, long ago, in the city of
Chania, Ancient Greece lived two
strong, clever friends Theseus and
Hercules. Chania was a happy place
until King Minos forced the people
of Chania to give away seven
boys and seven girls to be eaten or
killed by the Minoric which was
half man, half ram. He was kept
in the labyrinth. This scared the
children and their family to death.
Theseus had a power to change his
form and Hercules had a power
of strength. He could break a wall
with ease. Theseus had a plan - he
changed his form into a child who
looked very scared and he would
do the same with Hercules. They
would find the Minoric when it was
awake and kill it with Theseus's

lightning spear and then cut off it's
head with Hercules's magical sword.
Then they would get their silver bag
which was bigger than them. Then
they would tell King Minos that his
horrific monster was dead and they
had the Minoric's head to prove.
Theseus turned them into children
and volunteered to be taken to Crete
to be eaten. When they arrived, the
people of Crete made fun of them
and laughed at them. The people
of Crete loved to watch them getting
eating by the Minoric. Theseus
also had a very good memory so he
could remember the way out. When
it became time to enter the labyrinth,
they heard the ground shake
louder than thunder and everyone
hid and waited for the Minoric to
find them but Theseus and Hercules
wondered around, trying to find the
Minoric. When they found him, he
was just about to wake up. They

killed him with three lightning spears
and cut off his head. They then put
his head in the silver bag. Theseus
used his remarkable memory and
led Hercules out of the labyrinth
into King Minos's castle. Theseus
then turned them back to their
normal form. Then they were led
by one of King Minos's guards to
King Minos's throne. There he sat,
looking very grumpy. Theseus and
Hercules together said that they had
killed his Minoric. The King became
furious all at once and demanded
'PROVE IT YOU SCRAMBLING
RASCALS!' Just then Theseus pulled
out the Minoric's head. The King
went in a rage and roared 'HOW IS
THIS TRUE?' He soon became devastated
at the loss of his monster,
the Minoric. Then King Minos never
scared the children of Chania again.
The next day, Hercules, Theseus
and the other children sailed back to
Chania and everyone lived Happily

Another great story Harmony. We loved
the historical details this. The idea of
a a monster that is half ram and half
man is very creepy. I love the minotaur
story and in my third Olympuss
Games book we go into The Maze of the
Minopaw.

Freya looked at Hilda.
"Can you see any of the enemies?"
she asked. "Y'know..the Vikings?"
Hilda peered out the window, and
then gave a shriek.
"THEY'RE COMING!" Hilda
yelped, running around the cylinder
tower.
Freya caught her in her arms, and sat
her down on the side of the tower.
"Calm down, Hilda!" She sighed.
"STOP THERE!" yelled a rough
voice. Freya spun around and saw two
Vikings, both carrying a sword and
one carrying a large sack. The girl with
the sack lunged at Freya, but Freya
dodged it, but tripped. The girl who
had yelled had her sword to her neck.
"You're caught now!" She laughed
cruelly. The girl with the sack lunged
at Freya and bundled her into the sack,
and tied the bag tightly.

Freya looked around the sack
frightfully; she could hear Hilda's
shouts. She thrashed around in the
bag...

Queen of the desert

Long, long ago, in the land of Egypt,
someone suspicious was taking over the
pyramids. It was Dedi the tomb robber!
He was trying to get the sarcophagus of
Khufu! Luckily for the Egyptians, the hero,
called Kiya, who lived in and was Queen
of the desert had heard about it She had
one great power that was flight. Dedi was
a deadly enemy to her, pretending to be a
rich god, when he was only a poor tomb
robber. He pretended to be a pharaoh
with many riches and gold but when night
hit, he was more crafty than ever. This was
when no animal and no person was awake,
but little did he know that Kiya was always
watching over him, watching exactly what
he had in mind. Kiya decided to travel
to Giza, where Khufu was mummified
with all his riches. She brought her map
of exactly where Khufu was buried.
She was going to set a booby trap. Dedi
had now entered the main way where
all the Pharaohs and Queens chambers
were made. He saw hundreds, probably
thousands of doors to read. While he
carefully read the hieroglyphics, Kiya had
landed and was making her way to Khufu's

chamber. His door was the very last one,
numbered one thousand. When she
found the entry, she hid everything that
Khufu had when he was alive, including
his sarcophagus. Then, all around the
door she set five booby traps all next to
each other forming a circle. Eventually,
when Dedi had found Khufu's chamber
he stepped right into the booby trap
and was never seen again. Kiya became
a god and Dedi became criminal. Then
the people of Egypt lived Happily Ever
After.including his sarcophagus. Then,
all around the door she set five booby

camels (good and evil), crocodiles and booby
traps.
Super tip: It's good to use an image that belongs
in with the story. "As fast as a crocodile," would
work better than "As fast as a cheetah."

The Miracle Stone

In a land called Keelof everything was great until,
when every unicorn was in a deep sleep, Emperor
Rascal sent his Evil Zombies to attack Keelof!
They used the unicorn's magic to change zombie
fruit to look like unicorn fruit! Dandelion, one
of the Summer unicorns woke up by the sound
of magic and saw the zombies heading home,
she had to protect the gallop of unicorns from
getting poisoned! She tried to tell the other but
they just laughed at her. They were in danger!
The three unicorns who laughed at Dandelion
did not believe her at all, so they ate some of
the unicorn fruit and as soon as they ate this the
three of them turned green and fell on the grass.
Dandelion galloped off to Heart, the hospital
worker. Heart said that if they do not receive
the dust from the Magical Blue Rose in two days
they will be stuck like this forever. After this happened
nobody ate any unicorn fruit until this was
fixed. All the unicorns were sad because unicorn
fruit was very yummy and extremely healthy. The
only other thing that was healthy was Kepture
Pebbles which weren't so yummy. Soon they fund
out they will not be thirsty because they had 10x
the amount of Kepsi and unicorn drink they
had before. At least we won't suffer for drink!
chuckled Sunflower. Very funny sighed Daisy.

She just wanted to eat some unicorn fruit.
Dandelion had to be captain as she was one
of the most powerful unicorns and also it
was because she was the one who found out
about all this. This was her plan. We all need
to find the Miracle Stone and make a recipe
and pour it into the miracle stone The recipe
is to find unicorn weed, magical sand grains
and the last important thing, passion fruit
extract. The miracle stone was to be found
in the cave of miracle and stone. Everyone
prepare to get these things. Do it for the gallop,
do it for yourself, announced Dandelion.
Everyone got food, gear and bought every
source of magic they had. Every Summer
Unicorn shall get the miracle stone and every
Scout Unicorn shall find the ingredients
for the recipe, called Dandelion, Hospital
Unicorns stay both teams and Aqua you are
the head of the scouts. Ok answered Aqua.
Then what do I do? asked Skyla. You must
use your sparkle burst to heal all the unicorn
fruit. But that's boring! whined Skyla.
Do as you are told roared Aqua. Blaa blaa.
said Skyla. Sneakily when all the unicorn
were leaving she gave everyone sparkle burst.
That'll do 'em good. said Skyla. Soon this got
out of control. Sparkle Burst was wrecking
the land of Keelof. Soon the poor unicorns
found out how to control it but they all were
tired. Soon they completed their missions and

came home. When they saw Skyla they turned
her to a fish so that she couldn't cause any
more trouble. They mixed the miracle stone
and the recipe and it worked and even better
Emperor Rascal were becoming weak. The
Unicorns have saved the beautiful Land of
Keelof and the Land of Keelof was given
Unicorns only doors and with them, they
never had a problem again.

The White Queen

In a house not far away there were two children
playing hide and seek. One was called
Brooke and the other one was called Harry.
As Brooke was trying to squeeze into her
hiding place something moved, something
shook and she pushed the door open and
there lay a staircase. Brooke got Harry as
fast as she could and together they climbed
the staircase. When they opened the creepy
door they were sucked into a portal which
took them to a frozen forest. Then a teenager
girl ran up to them. Her name was
Cathy. She told them that she was trying to
escape from The White Queen. She had the
magic white sword which no other weapon
could beat except for the ring of freedom.
'Then all we need to do is get the ring of
freedom.' Brooke said. 'It is not that easy'
Cathy explained. 'It is in the cave of freedom
which is guarded by an experienced fighter
called Solo. To defeat her we need the magical
stick of ice and snow. 'Where is that?'
asked Harry. It is in the statue of the White
Queen which is outside her palace. 'Lets
get in then!' said Brooke. 'Alright!'answered

Cathy. They went to get the magical stick
of ice and snow. Together they pulled
the stick out of the statue. 'Now we can
defeat Solo!'exclaimed Cathy. They used
the stick to teleport themselves there and
to get the ring. 'Wow that is powerful!'
chuckled Brooke.' Now we have the ring
of freedom we can defeat The White
Queen!' exclaimed Cathy! 'Great!' shouted
Harry. Together they defeated The
White Queen. Later they woke up and
thought it was all a dream but in front of
them they saw the ring of freedom...

a world war 1 pilot went to his Spad
8-c1 and put his hand on the wooden
propeller and spun it to start it. He
then got in and the propeller stopped.
"Oh the pain the pain," he said.
He got out, he did it again. He boarded
and he just realised he had not got his
hat.
"The pain oh the pain."
He got out and went in to get his hat
when he got back the plane was trundelling
off down the runway. He got
down on his knees and moaned,
"The pain oh the pain."
He was in battle and his luck changed.
He had shot 72 enemy fighters down.
A fellow pilot called out:
" Help," he said,
"Never fear Smith is here," and he
helped him land and remarked the
proof is in the pudding,"
He went up then down he was going
down.
"I should never fire. Why am I here?
Oh the pain oh the pain."

Secret Staircase

called Harry and girl called Nadia.
When they were playing hide and
seek they found a secret staircase.
Suddenly they fell down and went
into a portal. They found themselves
in a frozen forest. They first
saw a frightened goat and it ran
away. Then they saw a stranger he
asked for help. He said he was being
chased by the White Queen. He said
all we needed to defeat her was the
ring of freedom. They set off to
find it. They found it in the cave of
freedom. They took it, defeated the
White Queen and he was free!

Zak's Treasure

There was once a boy called Pablo who
was an experienced surfer. When Pablo
saw a dolphin he knelt down to touch it
but the dolphin swam away. He dived in
to see what was happening. Zak the lifeguard
saw this and thought Pablo was in
trouble. He got his surf board and went
to find him. He found Pablo and Pablo
pulled him in! He led him to a sunken
ship which had a treasure chest. He
needed help opening it. They opened it
together and found it full of treasure!
They were rich! The two boys got half
each so they were happy but... there was
a shark heading straight for them they
had no flippers or jetpack so they swam
back to their surfboards. Luckily they
made it just on time. Zak swam on his
surf board while Pablo happily began
surfing again.
"That's a sick story Harmony. Like,
totally radical."

Shark Girl and
Marine Girl

There was once two superheros,who protected
the Sembra seas. One called Shark
Girl and the other called Marine Girl. They
had the power of breathing underwater,
invisibility and communication with underwater
animals. Shark Girl could scare away
villains by disguising as a shark. Marine
Girl could turn invisible then push waves
at them to scare them away but once when
the Sembra seas was being invaded by
Octoman. None of the girl's powers could
make him go away. They also went on land
to see what was happening but land was
being defeated by The Giggler! Nowhere
was safe. Sea with Octoman, land with The
Giggler. Octoman had the power of long
grabby tentacles and also the power of
seeing what other people were doing. The
Giggler had the power of size and also the
power of speed. Shark girl had to get The
Giggler back in jail and Marine Girl had
to get Octoman back in sea prison. They

were going to need full power to do this.
Marine Girl turned invisible, intending to
turn Octoman into a piece of coral and to
do that she had to mix sea sponge with seaweed.
She made the potion and poured it
on Octoman so that the next day he would
turn into a piece of coral but it only lasts
for a week. So she stayed invisible until
he turned into coral. She put him in sea
prison. Shark Girl was doing great so far
with The Giggler so she turned invisible
and made a potion out of a comet and sap
which could turn him into a flower. She
stayed invisible to see him turn into a flower
and get him back to prison. Great! Now
everywhere was peaceful. THUD!

a bat that dresses up as a man and lives in a
man cave."

Captain Khaki
and his Time Travellers!

Captain Khaki led his Time Travellers
through the long grass. SWISH...SWISH...
SWISH...SWISH... The grass felt cold and
sticky.
All of a sudden, they could hear a strange
sound.
"Who can hear something?" asked Captain
Khaki.
"I can hear an egg hatching," Lani said.
"You can hear an egg hatching," Captain
Khaki said. "Shall we follow the sound?"
"Yes!" shouted the Time Travellers.
They all moved through the long grass
again. PUSH...PUSH...PUSH...PUSH...
"Stop!" shouted Captain Khaki. "Oh no
everybody, we're stuck in the mud! Quick -

pull off your shoes!"
SQUELTCH...SQUELTCH....
SQUELTCH...
"Stop, I can hear another sound," Captain
Khaki said. "Can anybody else hear it?"
"Yes!" the Time Travellers shouted together.
"Mackenzie, what can you hear?" asked
Captain Khaki.
"A dinosaur," Mackenzie said.
"You can hear a dinosaur," Captain Khaki
said. "Can anyone else hear the dinosaur?"
Nathan said, "I can hear an egg hatching."
"We must be getting closer to the egg,"
Captain Khaki said. "Quick - follow me!"
They all ran. Then they stopped. There was
something chasing them.
"Can anyone see what is chasing us?" asked
Captain Khaki.
Belle said, "It's a dinosaur."
All the Time Travellers looked through their
binoculars.
"What type of dinosaur is it?" Captain
Khaki asked.
Luca said, "It's a T-T-T-T-REX!"
Everybody screamed...

AAAAGGGGGHHHHH!"
The Time Travellers curled up on the grass
to try and hide from the T-REX.
"Sadie, look through your binoculars," said
Captain Khaki. "Has he gone?"
"No, he's still there," squeaked Toby. Toby
curled up like an egg.
"The T-REX is still there!" Sadie said.
Everybody ran for their lives. Then they
stopped. There was a massive footprint on
the ground.
Cooper said, "It's really, really big!"
All the Time Travellers and Captain Khaki
jumped into the footprint.
"I hope the T-REX won'f find us in here,"
Captain Khaki said. "Zac - what can you see?"
"The T-REX isn't there," said Zac.
Everyone shouted, "YESSSSS!"
There was something in the sky.
"Can anyone see what it is?" asked Captain
Khaki.
Jessica looked through her binoculars. "It's
a pterodactyl," she said.
Everybody lay flat on the floor and tried to
hide. They pretended to be blades of grass.

The pterodactyl swooped down and he tried
to pick up Nathan but Nathan pushed him
off. And he swooped down and he tried
to pick up John but John rolled over. And
he swooped down and he tried to pick up
Mackenzie but Mackenzie said, "No! I'm
trying to find a dinosaur egg. You go away
you thin pterodactyl."
The pterodactyl flew off into the sky.
The Time Travellers looked through their
binoculars again.
"What can you see?" Captain Khaki asked.
Federico pushed the long grass back. "I can
see lots of dinosaurs," he said.
Diesel said he could see some short
dinsoaurs. Yani could see some long dinosaurs
eating leaves. There was a tree behind the
dinosaurs.
"There's something behind the tree,"
Captain Khaki said. "It's small, hard and oval
shaped."
"It's an egg," said Cooper.
"It's a dinosaur egg," said Zac.
The Time Travellers crept closer to the egg.
"Don't let the dinosaurs hear us," warned

Captain Khaki. "They will get very angry
if they see us."
Mackenzie picked up the egg and gave
it to Captain Khaki. Everyone said, "It's a
dinosaur egg."
Captain Khaki put it in his pocket to
keep it warm.
The T-REX was right behind the Time
Travellers. He didn't want to eat them. He
just wanted his egg back.
Yani took the egg to Rex and gave it to
him.
Rex said, "THANK YOU VERY
MUCH TIME TRAVELLERS. NOW I'M
NOT IN TROUBLE WITH ROXY MY
WIFE!"
The Mammoth says:

Volcano!

A young boy was on a plane then a girl was
waving and the boy came down.
"What do you want?" the boy asked.
"A volcano is going to blow us up!" the girl
said.
Then a bubble came. Then they saw a
white tiger running. It was going to eat them!
It was really fast. It turned black and red
because it was very angry and they were eaten
up and they were never seen again. And all
of the animals were very angry and so they
hunted for more people because they were
still hungry and the dinosaurs went with the
animals.
The Mammoth says:

dramatic. I'd like to know what happens next!
Will the animals end up fighting the people?"

Major Blast

One day there was a man called Major
Blast.
Major Blast saw Miss Ella and Miss Ella
said to Major Blast:
"That there is a dinosaur, watch out!"
So Major Blast ran up to Miss Ella and
Miss Ella said to Major Blast: "Run!"
Then Major Blast and Miss Ella ran away
so that they were safe from the dinosaur.
Then Miss Ella said to Major Blast:
"Do you want to have a race?"
Major Blast said "Yes."
Then Miss Ella and Major Blast had a race.
Suddenly Miss Ella and Major Blast saw an
enormous bubble coming ahead so Miss Ella
and Major Blast ran away from the bubble.
Then Miss Ella and Major Blast saw a big,
big, big monster. So Miss Ella and Major
Blast ran away from the monster.

The Race

One day a person was riding in a balloon
and another was on a bicycle. A boy
said, "Don't go too fast. Let's have a reat
race!"
One person won the race. She got a
golden trophy and it was clean and shiny.
It was a brilliant trophy and she liked it.
"It's a brilliant trophy," said Ella.
Ella wanted to do the race again but Ella
did not win. Rose won the race and she
got a golden, clean trophy.
A girl had nineteen trophies and her
name was Jessica. She had done loads of
races so she got lots of trophies. So she
was really famous.

Barry Skid vs
Professor Loft

something called the Great Race. Two
people were in the race. One was called
Professor Loft and one was called Barry
Skid. Then the race started. They crashed
and made a bubble. They broke everything
in sight. When everything was broken
it popped, then there came another and
another and another. It carried on the same
way making new things and destroying
everything, doing the same thing over and
over and over again. When the race carried
on, Barry Skid won.

Viva Le Revolution!

In the palace emperor Augusta hid from
the rebellion led by Germanicus.
Augusta was supposed to be brave but
he was scared of his own shadow!
Germanicus was brave and handsome
he had a great beard and used a spear and
shield. He screamed "Viva le revolution"
Augusta called for all the village men
to come and take on Germanicus so he
didn't have to get involved as he was to
important for that! Who saw an emperor
getting his hands dirty on a mere man
with a silly name called Germanicus which
reminded him of a plant!!!!
The men of the village clashed with
Germanicus and loss against the legions
of soldiers rebelling Emperor Augusta was
trapped with only 10 men by his side will
they fail or will it be a strong last stand??
Germanicus was standing over Augusta
laughing and plunged his spear into him
screaming viva le revolution then laughed
over the corpse the tyrant was dead!!

The palace was never the same again
people were happy and they had lots of
food. Germanicus was a great Emperor
kind, gentle, thoughtful and forgiving.
Emperor Germanicus had a lovely wife
Natella and 6 kids and the empire stayed
stable for centuries the end.

The Time Machine

One day, three scientists were building a
time machine and two wanted to test it but
James Burck did not think it was ready!
Herbert Gross and Professor Pollyacoff
jumped into the silver, smooth sleek gadget
and boom - they jolted through time and
appeared in the Trojan time inside the
Trojan horse.
"Wow we're here in the Trojan
horse,"said Pollyacoff.
"Wow, Athena has given us two brutal
warriors, on with their battle suits! Give
them the finest in the land."
Suddenly they dissappeared. James
Burke had managed to transfer them in
time. But they were not home! They were
in a strange land.
A hover car zooooooooooooooooooo
oooooooooooooooomed past Pollyacoff.
He was saying "Wow!" to all the science
around him. Then an old man came up
and said:
“Those clothes remind me of the old
days!"

“They ARE!” said Pollyacoff. “Have
you seen a time machine around?" asked
Pollyacoff.
“yes it is oveeeeesaaaaaaaaaaahghgjjxcj”
and he was dead like that.
And they were transferred like that. And
they appeared on D-Day.
On the ship that carried them to France
the sergeant said:
"Load the cannons and get into the mini
boats! We've arrived on hell zone."
All the Germans loaded their guns. And
James got a gun and shot 23. They took
revenge they threw 3 gas cans in different
directions. One English soldier quickly
feched the gas masks, and handed them
out. They got there shoveles and dug a
bunker. But then James B and Pollyacoff
dissappeared before they got shot.

War is hell! I hear that Michael Morpurgo has
written a book about a war horse. Perhaps someone
can write a book about a war mammoth - as
long as it does not get killed at the end!"

The Missing Princess

"THE PRINCESS IS GONE!" roared
the dragon and he started destroying his
nest and he got so tired he died so he
never bothered the princess. There was
a problem: the dragon had a secret baby
dragon tucked up in his nest so it fell out
and is awake
As the baby dragon grew up it started
flying and spying and he soon found Gretel
and the princess. After a few years he was
ready to go out of were his nest used to be,
so before he did that he picked up Gretel
and the princess and said "THANK YOU,"
because they made his mum not be able to
stop him from going away from his nest.

The Cloth Weaver

and a stolen sword.
''I see. It's magic!'' she said. Then there
was a war between her and the sword
maker. The war lasted a long time. It took
days. The cloth weaver defeated the sword
maker.
Draco and The Baron

blasts a stick of TNT at the wall. The wall
falls on The Baron. The Baron smashes
the wall to pieces. Draco was so surprised
that he ran. But out of the corner of his
eye he saw a flame sword. He quickly

at the Baron who fell to the ground like a
dying bull.

Tsunami

As the tsunami approached and the land
got smaller and smaller and smaller June
ran and ran darting breathlessly between
buildings away from the closing wave. Her
legs felt like jelly. She started to slowdown
immensely. She heard a loud booming
voice laugh. Pirates. Riding the wave. It
was her worse nightmare coming alive to
defeat her once and for all... She saw Tokyo
tower being swallowed by the nightmare
of the tsunami. All these sudden happing's
had made her forget about her life. The
wave had hit...
Swimming for her life June headed
upwards. As June swam up and up a
shadow loomed nearer and nearer. So did
June’s death date…

X-Tech

X-TEC was running like a rocket through
the enchanted forest and out into the city.
He saw The Poker throwing smoke pellets
with a sack of money. I went after him
then I turned invisible. X-TEC punched
him really high like a rocket. The Poker
throw a smoke pellet at X-TEC. X-TEC
morphed into an ant he went after the
poker. When he saw him he turned back
into normal size.
"Come back here you.."

A Hero Called Tefnut

Once there was a hero called Tefnut.
Tefnut had a friend called Shu but Tefnut's
cousin Terset did not like Shu and Terset
was against Shu. And so Terset locked Shu
in a mummy case and only Terset had the
key to the mummy case. So Tefnut had to
rescue his friend. Terset hid the mummy
case deep inside a pyramid. Tefnut knew
that it was hidden deep inside the pyramid.
So Tefnut set of in his chariot along the
long hot desert to the pyramid. When
Tefnut arrived at the gigantic pyramid he
quickly got out of his chariot and rushed
into the tall big pyramid and found the
mummy case. He heard Terset coming
towards him and he wondered where to
hide. But he couldn't find anywhere to
hide. Terset was coming closer he could
now hear Terset’s footstep’s so Tefnut
hid in a mummy case Terset walked past
Tefnut. Then Tefnut got out and went
to Shu’s mummy case. Now when Terset
walked past the mummy case, Tefnut stole
the key to the case. And then Tefnut and

his dear friend Shu crept along the long
corridors out of the big pyramid and into
Tefnut’s chariot. He shouted “Great! You
rescued me Tefnut! Why don’t we go to
celebrate back home?"
When they got home on Tefnut's chariot.,
Tefnut asked Shu “Are you alright?”
Shu said "Why don’t you tell the whole
town about what happened?”
“Great idea Shu!” said Tefnut.

The Two Pharoahs

There were once two pharaohs who were
both very wise. One lived in the pyramids
and the other in the desert. However one
was mean and one was nice. The nice one
was called Anubis and the mean pharaoh
was called Sekmet.
It was a dark gloomy night and Sekmet
tried to break into the pyramid. He got
in but stepped on a creaking floorboard
"Rrrr!" went the floorboard. Out of
nowhere came all Anubis's guards including
Ra ma'at and Anubis's daughters Izzrella
and Isabella.
"Aaaahhhh!" shouted out Sekmet. He
ran out the castle afraid.
The next night, yet again Sekmet broke
in and got past the creaking floorboard
and stole Anubis's crown and they got
past the creaking floorboard and out the
pyramid. The next day Anubis woke up
and screamed for his favorite crown was
gone!!!
"What's wrong your royal highness?"
said the servants.

"Mmmm my crown's gone! Completely
gone!"
"Well who would steal such a special
crown?" they asked.
"I don't know but we have to find out
because that crown has been in the family
for years."
"Right away sir!" said the guards.
"At the dead of night we shall sneak into
Sekmet's castle because I am sure he stole
my crown. For he is greedy."
"You are so ingenious what a good idea!"
said the royal guard.
So in the dead of night Anubis and his
guards broke into Sekmet's castle got his
crown and crept back to his own castle.
"Welcome home!" said Anubis.
The next morning Sekmet woke up
"Oooooooo no no no! My new crown
gone completely gone!" said Sekmet.
And he was never known for stealing
again!
The Mammoth says:

a bit hot for mammoths."

R.I.P. Agent S

A long time ago there was an epic fight in which
brave heroes fought and fell…
R.I.P agent S. Saturn is very grateful.
We begin on Sammy's home moon Titan,
he loved it so much. From the glowing sea
to the vibrant sky. The only thing he didn’t
like was his smelly manky unicorn brother.
His life was fine. Then the evil lord
Hammy's space shuttle loomed over
Saturn. All unicorn forces were lost (UAF,
URN). Sammy's family and friends were
gone into the shuttle screaming for their
lives.
Sammy whizzed round Saturn blowing
sparkle dust at the menacing space
hamsters. The evil lord Hammy was going
to eat Saturn's cheese rings.
"Oh no!" Sammy cried.
"Oh yes!" Hammy replied spiraling his
furry hands plotting his next evil plot.
"Minion 11, minion 12 and 13!"
They instantly rushed forward and
"It's me!"

pinned Sammy down.
"BO YA!" shouted the hamster. A sharp
needle headed towards Sammy's face
threatening him. He blasted his sparkle
dust but it was no use. Sammy was surely
done for. And he was...
The needle punctured his face terribly.
His blood floated into outer space. No
sparkle left in it. Then John his annoying
smelly brother wrestled lord Hammy to
the ground.
"I'm going to make ham out of you..."
You may be wonder what happened next
John did make ham out of him. All was
happy....
Horatio the Hamster says:
"At last a story about hamsters! Well done you
three on a fantastic story. Personally, I liked the
part about the cheese rings! I don't suppose you
have any of those left do you?"
Horatio the Hamster says:
"Here I am again!"

The Sniper

"BANG!" The British soldiers were being
battered by the German artillery! Everyone
was blinded by the hovering dust floating
into there bloodshot eyes. The smell of
smoke and gunpowder overwhelmed most
of the soldiers as the machine gun bullets
flew, sometimes into a soldier. Most of
the soldiers would duck and the ones that
didn't, well that's another story...
In a tunnel, almost touching the German
trench, 3 people listened to the German
conversation
"We have to get the message to Manfred!"
The 3 young men hurried back to the
trench. Suddenly: "Boom!"
They were now running across no mans
land "BANG!"
Dirt fell over the 2 corpses, but one was
still alive. He ran and dived into the trench
"They've got a secret message, we need to
get it!"
Harry, a British sniper, was doing his job,
and well. He wasn't very good at hitting the
Germans, but he's good at scaring them.
"Hey Harry you doing well with that
Enfield. Anyway we need you to take this,

this could save your life."
The general seemed angry.
"It's only a pistol?!"
"Well it's better than an Enfield at close
range 'aint it?"
The mud slowed the soldiers down
sticking there wet feet into the sorrowed
ground where their friends were shot.
Explosions did their thing all around, noone
could get out of the trench... Or they'd
die!
"We need that secret message, the war
might depend on it!"
"Why it's probably just a piece of rubbish,
'aint it?"
"We need it!"
The anonymous man walked slowly over
to the door...
Suddenly, he reached out a hand, grabbed
something and pulled "it" in!
"Harry, how long have you been there?!
I said how long have you been there?!!"
"Umm... Urr... j..j...just walking past."
Harry stuttered and shivered until the
anonymous figure pushed Harry out of
the door, slamming it in his face. Harry
had actually been there listening for a
while now
"I survived I..I survived!"
He knew he was lucky, did they notice?!?!

"Listen up maggots! This is what you
signed up for so you better listen for once
in your lives! We need a secret message
that they've got, so listen to the plan."
Silence.
No-one dared to speak.
"So we've got to get into their trench,
which is going to be dang..."
"Hey i'm not risking my life to get a
piece of rolled up paper in some scum's
pocket."
"Well on your bike then!" said the man.
So he walked off, away from the trench
and in a split second he was shot.
"That's what happens to cowards."
The man kept on talking until everyone
knew the suicidal plan.
"Phew!"
The snipers seemed not to rest, and the
artillery didn't either.
"Ok it's time, we're going to get that
message!"
There was a big cheer before they jumped
up the side of the muddy trench that smelt
of horse dung.
"Charge!"
Guns were blazing out from both sides
of the blood bath. Harry jumped into the
trench and found he needed the pistol!
Engraved on the side it said:

"Good luck"
He ran up and shot the general in the
now blood red patch on his uniform. He
looked through his pockets eventually
finding the message. He ran as fast as he
could. Sprinted, across no-mans land. He
jumped. In mid-air a bullet hit him in the
chest.
A deathly scream leaked from his blood
filled mouth. He carried on running
straight to the general.
"I got it..."
His hand stretched out and forced the
general to have it. He dropped dead.
Author Robin Price says:
"This is a very atmospheric tale and
you've nailed the description. I liked
they way that the personality of the
characters came out in their speaking.
it was a brilliant ending - but sad.
TIp: Remember to use 'said' or 'shouted'
when there are a couple of characters
talking - then we won't lose track
of who is saying what."

Hamster
House of Horror
Horatio the Hamster says:
"I don't think this is a good idea but
some of you have sent in scary
stories this month. So welcome to my
Hamster House of Horror. For the love
of nuts, don't even think about readking
the next two stories unless you
like being scared seedless!"
Tiger Lily

Staggering figures surrounded the
battered old cottage; some already tripping
their way into the garden. Robin was lying,
pale green by Tiger Lily's side. Now she
could here fumble feet lolloping up the
rotting stairway. Robin was still lifeless; he

had been since stepped on that rusty nail.
His foot was oozing blood that, if she
didn't act soon, would be in the hands of
the former inhabitants of Oakley.
Frantically fingering rubber bands and
skewers Tiger Lily formed a makeshift
slingshot and prepared for combat.
Of course she wanted to hide first so
she gingerly tip toed across precarious
floorboards dragging Robin's crippled
body behind her. She wasn't sure why,
maybe she needed a tiny piece of hope
that she wasn't completely deserted-yet.
From the 'safety' of the dusty cabinet
Tiger Lily spied gnarly hands splintering
the remains of the door. Her clammy
grasp gripped the little ammo she had and
she tried not to make a sound. The leader
of the group aka the former mayor but
now his pupils were ghostly white, his right
ribcage bones was showing and his bow tie
was askew. He lurched into the chaotically
messy cottage. His right eye rolled out of
its socket and slithered unnervingly close
to the cabinet where Tiger Lily crouched
in wait…
Tiger Lily held her breath until her face
turned blue and with a deep sigh she let
her breath go! The bloodshot horror
immediately whizzed round and met with

Tiger Lily’s wide petrified eyes just visible
through the crack between the cabinet
doors. Her heart stopped and she jumped
out firing skewers left and right nuclear
flesh splattering on the peeling wallpaper.
She frantically racked her brains for an
escape plan. A cough spluttered behind
her as Robin hung on to his last seconds
of life and then fell hopelessly to the
ground. And with that Tiger Lily’s hopes
of a last friend was dashed like a guttering
candle sputtering out. With salty tears
spilling down her scarred cheeks she was
even more determined to overthrow this
staggering horde he charged recklessly at
the surrounding grey/ green figures.
A flick of a powerful boot- one head sent
rolling. A pain filled punch- limbs bouncing
of the walls. Disembodied hands clawed
Tiger Lily’s feet and with a deft swipe of a
kitchen knife and they were no more.
Finally all the nuclear monsters were
vanquished or so she thought for a flesh
crawling groan made her blood run ice
cold. Tiger Lily skidded round on glowing
guts only to see the looming lime green
silhouette of Robin staggering dangerously
close to where she lay. With great regrets

and tears glistening with her tragic past
Tiger Lily leapt up and kicked Robin
through the hole in the mahogany door
and then pursued him over to the staircase
where she closed her eyes and wrestled
Robin off the landing. But, as he fell to
the ground he yanked on her torn top and
his tight grip sent Tiger Lily descending to
her death too. As her hopeless body hit the
floor with a deathly thud her last thoughts
were a hope of a next generation and a
new beginning…
Horatio the Hamster says:
"Thank you Annabel for another
prime cut of spookiness for my
hamster house of horror! Now I need
to go and lie down in some straw."
"Look another picture of me!"

Trap Door

He walked in. Click. Linwood Warwick
had fallen down a trap door. Bang! he hit
the ground then all of a sudden ,There
was a space nugas one of the most deadly
bugs in space. He got up as fast as he got
out his space gun and started shooting.
He had miss all of his shots! He quickly
started running however he found himself
in a maze any wrong move will make him
dead. The deadly nugas was still following
him. left right right left he just kept on
running he knew at one point he will hit
a wall. He was running out of breath just
as the nugas found him. He got his space
gun and started shooting. A hit! the nugas
started backing away then he screeched
loudly. Five more of them jumped down.
Then he had an idea he could climb the
walls of the maze. He started running
again; a nugas fell down in front of him
he was trapped! One of them attacked he
jumped up onto the nugas and climbed

the wall.
He could see the end he quickly started
jumping from wall to wall. Some of them
climbed up and was chasing Linwood
Warwick. He must get out of there. He
was getting close to the door now he had
to jump down and open it. He clicked
the switch and the door opened and at
once he looked for the closing switch. He
found the switch but the bugs found him.
He clicked the switch however one nugas
got in. He had to fight. He started to walk
backwards while reloading. He tripped over
and found himself pinned. He powered
his gun on and started shooting. A direct
hit he shot and the nugas fainted. In this
new room he found tanks full of flux and
flesh going into a machine. There was a
door to his right and a something else to
his left. Very scared he started to move to
the right door. The door had a keypad but
there was a vent to his left so Linwood
Warwick got into the vent.
It was getting hot very fast and he could
see the heater at the end. He pointed his

space gun towards the heater and shot.
*click click* He was out of ammo he had
more but could not get it round to reload
it. It got hotter. He was at the end but
nearly burnt to death he dropped onto the
floor on the other side of the door.
He got up to find lots and lots of random
glass tubes with space aliens in! He ran
across the ramp going up to find a huge
metal door. He reloaded his space gun and
hit the open button.
"Hello human my name is Velly a space
alien who will take over the galaxy! With
these clones and this time machine I will
take over all galaxies! Time to die puny
human. The door shut behind him and
three steel walls closed around him. The
walls started to close in. He shot the pipes
but nothing happened. The only plan out
is to go into the pipes where the toxic air
is! He better hold his breath... His heart
pumped as we climbed up though the
pipes. Click he was out. The time machine
sparked to life as Linwood Warwick got
out. He had to act fast so he jumped onto
Velly and held him down. The metal doors

opened once again and tons of clones start
pumping in! Linwood Warwick Jumped up and
ran to the newly opened time machine.
He landed on the other side of the portal
he saw Velly working on the portal still he saw
Linwood Warwick and freaked out "Ah how
did you get past my maze and my clones and
everything!?" shouted Velly. Linwood Warwick
kicked Velly to the side and shouted "Take that
alien!" He found some bombs in the corned set
them off and ran for is life. Out the door and
round the corner and up the stair case and across
the grass and into the rocket. "Full Throttle!" he
shouted. And as Linwood Warwick flew away
as the huge bomb went off behind him.
The end.
Horatio the Hamster says:
"James your story was epic!
Sustained bursts of suspense from a
sizzling space opera!
By the way humans - you don't need
to write The END at the end of your
stories. We'll know it's the end
when your writing runs out."

Headless Hen

As the trees swished, Pando and Jeff
woke with a fright. There in front of them
was a load of funky chickens with arrows
and swords.
The Head Chicken said, “Finally, finally,
we have found people to kill.”
One of the chickens bellowed, “We are
going to rip you apart!” He was staring at
them with his red eyes.
Suddenly they disappeared. Pando and
Jeff were terrified. The two friends walked
without talking to the water pond. In the
pond they saw a mirror. On the mirror
were the words, ‘You have had your minds
twisted so this might help you with...’

Amazon the Elf

"RUN!" Amazon the elf shouted to Asia, the
tree-spirit, as the bombs started to shower the
forest. Suddenly they were taken off their feet by
a massive gust of wind. They fell with a bump,and
all around them were purple and cornflower blue
trees. A mournful moan echoed through the silent
forest, Asia's spine began to prickle with fear. A
ghostly pale figure lay by a SUPER tall tree, its
knotted back supporting him. He seemed to be the
one groaning.
''Quick!'' yelled Asia ''the first aid kit!''.
Amazon grabbed the first aid kit and turned to the
pale man, then she found the right sized bandage
and strapped it around the poor mans head.
''feel better?'' asked Asia
''yes thank you'' croaked the old man.
Then suddenly, the old man was not an old man
any more he... was... a... VAMPIRE!!!
''Uh oh...'' muttered Amazon ''LETS GET OUT
OF HERE!!!''
As they ran through the haunting trees, leaves
began to fall so quickly it hurt. It was as if the forest
was trying to slow them down.
Well, it was working. Slowly the leaves swarmed
them ... then it all went black.

The Bunker

Jason woke up. "Where am I?" remarked
Jason. He looked around to find he was in
a large bunker hidden in a mountain. The
massive door 10 meters high was wide open.
he heard a loud crash and everything went
white then red and then black. Clouds of
dust pondered around the sky and the only
sound was the screams of the ones around
him. He fell to the floor and fainted.
Jason woke up wearily and turned around.
a pile of blood lustring bones ran towards
him. Quickly he killed in the chest and it feel
to its knees. Jason didn't feel safe "Hello!”
Shouted Jason. He walked towards the door
then remembered how defenceless he was
and went to find a weapon. He sat down in
the armoury and grabbed a small rifle. he
heard a groan behind the door. He slowly
crept towards the door. The groan grew
louder and louder.
He opened the door ...
A horde of zombies charged at him tearing
at each other tearing each other. He ran to
the exit, slammed the door and froze.
"Zombies can ride blooming tanks?!"

Bang. Bang. Bang. The rain of fire hit the
tanks gears and a loud creak from the tank and
very suddenly the tank burst into flames. The
door to the empty world was open and even
more zombies lay ahead. Jason head towards
a small camp just north of the bunker. "more
zombies" he thought but actually there were
some survivors .
They aimed there pistols at him. "no more
zombies!" said a small child in the camp
"No! I'm human"shouted Jason. They
believed him apart from the small child.
“You know were going to die, right? “said
the little boy.
"Yes! And there’s no changing that."
The Hamster of Horror says:
"Well done Cameron for sending us a
second brilliant story! Last month it
was Star Wars - now it's zombies!
What will you come up with next?"

Vikings

“What have you done now, Siv?” yelled
Astrid furiously.
“It’s only a broach, it won’t do anything,
at least I don’t think so anyway,” replied
Siv, nervously.
Suddenly an arrow shot through Astrid’s
silky hair and landed on the map.
“Aaaggghhh!” screamed Siv, turning to
see one hundred longships. They scurried
to hide but couldn’t find anywhere. They
crouched in a corner breathing heavily. The
walls seemed to close in on their beating
hearts. Siv was petrified and couldn’t move.
Stunned. The silence was deathly.
The door crashed down onto the hard,
wooden floor. A soldier appeared. Siv
swung her axe wildly, decapitating him. Siv
dropped her axe in fear and very quietly
and slowly muttered, “I killed someone.”
She nearly fainted and ran over into the
woods, leaving Astrid alone.
Her eyes set on fire as she charged to the
sure, massacring the men to her left and
her right. As she reached the bloody sea,
she got her bow and aimed directly at the

man at the back of the boat.
“You have come to kill my men for a
flipping broach that you have no right to.
Olaf – you’re dead to me!”
Olaf, the man on the boat, stood up but
before he could mutter a word, Astrid’s
fingers released her bow and the arrow
hurtled right into his eye. He tumbled
back, lifeless. The remaining ships fled in
terror.
The rustling of leaves could be heard.
Siv appeared, smiling. “That was a close
call Astrid,” Siv laughed.

Viking Attack!

“Get the bows ready Tate,” reminded
Wulfric. “There might be Vikings so make
sure we’re ready,” he shouted.
As Tate scurried down the stairs, he
carried on loading the rest of the bows
he had. He thought he heard a crash but
ignored it and carried on loading bows.
Meanwhile, Magnus shouted to Astrid.
“Get ready to attack. Our mission is to
capture that pesky girl Tate, once and for
all!”
As the two Vikings burst through the
door, Tate tried to scurry back up the
stairs, but both ways were blocked with
a locked door and the Viking, Magnus,
charged at Tate to capture her, growling,
“You’re coming with us!”
But before he could say no, she pushed
him down the stairs. As Magnus landed on
Astrid, Tate managed to open the strong
door and shout, “Viking attack! Viking
attack!” to Wulfric.
Chaos was filling the poor village.
Children were screaming, houses were
burning, dogs were barking. There was

much torture that the Vikings had made
and back at the tower, before Tate could
open the last door to get to Wulfric. The
Vikings sprinted up the stairs and managed
to bundle Tate into a bag. She struggled to
breathe and her mouth was moving, but
there were no words. Just silence…
The Hamster says:

Five Coins

“Quick, the Romans are going to get the
coins,” whispered Lucia.
“Ok, Ok,” answered Titus, diving to the
first coin. “Got it!” he shouted.
“Yes, but we still have four to go,”
whispered Lucia.
They looked around the temple for
a while, looking for the second coin.
Suddenly, a whole army of Roman soldiers
marched into the room.
“Quick, get behind this box,” whispered
Lucia.
When the army had walked away, Lucia
and Titus looked in the box. There were
clothes.
“There’s nothing but clothes in here,”
said Titus. “Wait, what’s that?”
“It’s the second coin,” said Lucia.
“Ok,” said Titus. “Let’s go and find the
other three.”
They walked into a room. There was a
tall man in there. Titus and Lucia stepped
back.
“I have been waiting for you two,” said
the tall man. “Are you looking for these?”

“Oh no, it’s the three coins,” said Lucia.
“W-We...are...looking for them,” said
Titus.
“Well, you will have to get through me,”
shouted the tall man, pulling out a sword.
“How will we get the coins?” said Titus.
“I have a plan,” said Lucia. “Go and hide
and I will sneak up behind him and get the
coins!”
Titus went and hid while Lucia snuck up
behind the tall man.
“I am not playing hide and seek children,”
the man said.
Suddenly he felt his hand shake. It was
Lucia taking the coins.
“Quick!” shouted Lucia, “Run!”
She shouted to Titus. They both ran out
leaving the tall man shouting, “Noooooo!”
When Titus and Lucia got home they
put the coins back in their place.

Theseus
and
the Lion
A re-imagining of Theseus
and the Minotaur

A long time ago there lived a king
called Minos who lived in Crete. He had
a ferocious pet lion which he kept in a
maze under his palace. The lion had a
mane as golden and the sun and piercing
eyes that glowed brightly in the pitch black
darkness. His fur was thick and rough. He
had soft paws and long muscly front legs.
His mouth was big and wide, ready to eat
and his teeth were as sharp as knives. His
tail was like a whip. The lion had to be fed
every nine years.
King Minos and the King of Athens
didn’t like each other at all. They were
always fighting like two children arguing.

So the King of Athens made a deal with
King Minos that if the King of Athens
sent seven boys and seven girls every nine
years to be eaten, King Minos had to leave
the King of Athens alone.
After a few years, Prince Theseus
decided to go to Crete as one of the seven
boys. His father begged him not to go but
Theseus, the brave, strong prince insisted.
After a few days it was time for the
seven girls and seven boys to set sail to
Crete. “I’ve had enough. I want to kill this
dreadful, hideous beast,” said Theseus. So
they sailed to Crete. It was a horrible, tiring,
dreadful journey. Finally they got to Crete
at the King’s palace. Prince Theseus and
the other children were greeted by King
Minos and his beautiful daughter, Ariadne.
One night Princess Ariadne wrote a letter
for Prince Theseus and told him that if he
took her away from Crete then she would
help him defeat the lion.
Later that night, Theseus met Ariadne
and she gave him a shiny sharp sword
and a huge ball of string. Prince Theseus
thanked Princess Ariadne very much for
helping to kill the hideous monstrous
beast.
The next day, Prince Theseus and the

other children got pushed into the maze
where the gruesome lion lived.
“Stay here!” explained Theseus to the
boys and girls.
Theseus tied the string to the maze door
and unravelled it until he reached the
middle part where the lion stood. Theseus
pulled up his sword and made a move.
The lion was charging at him. As the lion
came near, Theseus killed and stabbed
the ferocious lion. After that, Theseus
followed the string back to the door.
Theseus and the children came out of
the twisty maze and crept quietly into the
boat so that King Minos wouldn’t notice.
Prince Theseus kept his word and took
Princess Ariadne away from Crete with
him.
While they were sailing, Prince Theseus
needed to stop on an island for equipment
and Princess Ariadne wanted to rest so
they went onto the island and Ariadne
fell fast asleep. Theseus decided to set sail
and he left beautiful Ariadne on the small
island but he still kept his word!

The Mammoth says:
"Amazing story! I don't know
about everyone else but I am
dying to know what happened to
Ariadne next. Did she live happily
ever after on the island? Or was
it infested with angry Cyclops?"

THE
PRINCESS
IS GONE!

"THE PRINCESS IS GONE!" roared
the dragon and he started destroying his
nest and he got so tired he died so he
never bothered the princess. There was
a problem: the dragon had a secret baby
dragon tucked up in his nest so it fell out
and is awake
As the baby dragon grew up it started
flying and spying and he soon found Gretel
and the princess. After a few years he was
ready to go out of were his nest used to be,
so before he did that he picked up Gretel
and the princess and said "THANK YOU,"
because they made his mum not be able to
stop him from going away from his nest.

X-Tech

X-TEC was running like a rocket through
the enchanted forest and out into the city.
He saw The Poker throwing smoke pellets
with a sack of money. I went after him
then I turned invisible. X-TEC punched
him really high like a rocket. The Poker
throw a smoke pellet at X-TEC.
X-TEC morphed into a ant he went after
the poker. when he saw him he turned
back into normal size.
"Come back here..."

Billy The Unicorn

Billy is a unicorn. He can fly and he
flies right into the sky. One day he went
to the moon and there were hamsters and
they started fighting him. He flies and
shoots rainbows out of his mouth and
he was sooo cute that they all want to be
his friend! But the leader hamster did not
because he was a meany. So he hired some
rely strict baboons to tell them off. But
he used his unicorn powers on them.. it
didn't work so he talked to them and he
was so nice that he was the best unicorn in
the whole world. And the leader hamster
felt so sorry for him for the attacks that
he ran to his mum and said he wanted to
be the unicorns friend. Billy over heard
and he asked if they could be friends.

Tie Fighter

Ray ran through the forest. He stopped for a
moment he stopped and then the ground gave in
to his feet and fell into the depths of an imperial
hanger stock full of tie fighters.
"Flipping heck! It had to be tie fighters!"
A rain of fire flew past him as he fell closer
to the ground. He struck out his saber and hit
the wall so he slid down to the bottom. There he
was... Kylo Wren.
"You weak soul,think you're a Jedi, but just a
boy ready to die" boomed Kylo Wren.
He struck out his light saber and charged faster
than a laser at Ray. He struck his blade against the
floor and sparks flew around the hanger fearlessly.
The room was dark and dreary. The blades clashed
lightening up the room. Ray ran to the hanger to
find Biggs's x-wing and Bigs waiting by it shooting
the storm troopers,
"Get in" he shouted and Ray barely made it.
They flew of only to find an Imperial fleet of tie
fighters heading right for them.He fired nonstop,
hoping to hit them. One exploded and the debris
hit them sending them to the ground of Kaysheek
in flames.

Edward and the Vikings

Chapter 1
The Fight
“Let me go!” spluttered Edward as
the harsh Vikings pinned him down and
started looking through his pockets. It
was easy to see because the moon was
now gazing down solemnly at the terrified
people, with blood pouring down them
and also at the frightened Anglo Saxons
fighting off the Vikings.
Poor Edward now was very weak and
out of breath. He made an escape with
a bloody looking sword and shield held
tightly in his scarred hands. Edward was
also very frightened and scared because
not only had he been cut but a big crowd
of Vikings on horses were cascading right
towards him. His heart was pounding faster
and faster. The horses were going at top
speed towards him. Suddenly there was a
giant WHACK! as the Vikings catapulted

themselves at Edward and all the fierce
charging of the horses, knocked him out.
Now a big red cut, from his eye to his ear,
appeared on his panicked-looking face.
Chapter 2:
The Start of the Battle
After Edward had been knocked out
by the Vikings, the head Viking frowned
and shouted “AND FIRE !” and as that
happened, three thousand fireballs were
sent flying from catapults. The fireballs
landed on a Saxon house in the village and
set it alight. Edward stupidly went into
the building that was on fire and opened a
huge chest. In the chest that was covered
in jewels there was a ridiculously long
golden sword, shimmering brightly in the
flames. Clenching the sword in his fist,
Edward jumped out the window just in
time. Then all of a sudden – BANG - the
house exploded! Edward rushed over to
his wife and calmly said …
“Martha that was our home that exploded!
What are we going to do? Where are we
going to live or stay?”
Edward started crying.
“It’s alright dear and if you don’t stop

crying like that, you will hurt your scar”
shouted Martha over the crackling of the
flames. As Edward reached for the sword
that was in his hand, behind his back, he
realised that it was gone!
Chapter 3:
The War
Edward looked high and low but there
was no sign of it until …
“Looking for this?” boomed one of the
Vikings, while Edward was looking for
the sword. When Edward turned around
there, in the head Viking’s hand was the
sword!
“How did he get the sword off me?”
thought Edward as he raised himself from
the ground, from his search.
“Give it back!” demanded Edward.
“Or what, you useless old Saxon?” joked
Eliot, the head Viking.
“Or war!” said Edward, crossing his
arms and nodding up and down. “Done?”
asked Edward.
“Done!” shouted Eliot and that was that.
The next morning saw Eliot with the rest

of the Vikings on one side and Edward
and the rest of the Anglo Saxons on the
other.
“One … two…three … CHARGE!”
commanded Eliot.
Before you knew it the Vikings and the
Anglos were scattered everywhere and
in the end, Edward managed to slip the
sword out of Eliot’s hand and kill all the
Vikings.

chapters. I loved the bit with the
fireballs."

They were a bad tempered lot,
