Stewardship Corner
If our earth were not tilted, there would be no seasons and the vapors from the ocean
would move north and south at such a rate that the continents would be piled with ice.
If our moon were only 50,000 miles away instead of the more than 200,000 miles than
it actually is, ocean tides would be so gigantic that the continents would be submerged
and the mountains eroded. If the crust of the earth were 10 feet thicker, there would
be no oxygen for life. If the ocean were a few feet deeper, all the carbon dioxide
would be absorbed and there would be no plant life. These illustrations demonstrate
just how dependent we are on God as Creator and Sustainer. Why then do we so often
try to take control of things in our life? Instead, every day we need to remind ourselves
of how small and insignificant we are in comparison to our great God. Today,
let us give our Tithe and Combined Budget Offering in full realization of the mighty
Creator God we serve.
Oakwood Adventist Academy (OAA) Building Project
Please be mindful of our financial commitment to the OAA Building Project. Given
our church obligation of $3,000,000.00, the OUC makes a monthly payment to satisfy
this commitment. Let us all support this collective responsibility through our systematic
financial support, which is in addition to our normal Tithe and Combined Budget
Offering. All donations, large or small, are sincerely appreciated. Kindly mark on
your offering envelope, “OAA Building Fund.”
“Restoration 40” - Construction of Family Life Center
Everyone is kindly asked to reach a minimum goal of $1,000.00 per person for our
Family Life Center Building Project, which is inclusive of our “Restoration 40” initiative.
This can be done through a one time gift, systematic monthly gifts, or the solicitation
of donations from family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and businesses
(in addition to your normal Tithe and Combined Budget Offering). If you have
reached your $1,000.00 goal, please feel free to give additional funds. Donations can
be made via your offering envelope and labeled, “Restoration 40.” Thank you.
Welcome
