CHILDREN'S CAMEL<br />
She had been on the journey with the mighty<br />
King Melchior; a small camel, but the children considered her<br />
the perfect size. As Melchior was preparing for his epic journey,<br />
his loved ones had one request: to bring with him the little<br />
camel that became a reminder of his home<br />
and the loved ones he left behind.<br />
MARY'S DONKEY<br />
He had made the three-day trip from Nazareth to<br />
Bethlehem with Joseph and carrying Mary. At the stable,<br />
Joseph used the donkey's saddle blanket to make a place for<br />
Mary to rest. The donkey awoke to the bright light of a<br />
brilliant star heralding the birth of Baby Jesus.<br />

THE DONKEY CROSS<br />
After the Donkey demonstrated its love and<br />
loyalty to Jesus by never leaving his side through<br />
trial and suffering, God granted it with a cross on<br />
its back, as a reward, for all to see.<br />

NISAN, BOY WITH DONKEY<br />
Nisan, had come from Jerusalem to stay while his mother<br />
recovered from an illness. Filled with sadness, Nisan didn't<br />
seem to have room in his heart for his aunt, uncle and cousin.<br />
On the journey, Nisan had spent every mile<br />
trying to convince his father that he should remain at<br />
home with his mother. He clung to the donkey that had<br />
brought him to Bethlehem. Together, they spent their<br />
days in a quiet corner behind the stable.<br />
Nisan heard his uncle say that a couple could stay in<br />
the stable because there was no room in the Inn. His<br />
little corner was no longer his own.<br />
He saw a man, a woman and tiny infant lying<br />
in a manger. Nisan knelt down before the baby and<br />
felt wrapped in love and peace. He looked up to see his<br />
mother, now strong and healthy, coming into the stable<br />
with his father; and Nisan knew all would be well.<br />
