ADINA, LITTLE SHEPHERD
ANGEL WITH LAMB
Adina was the guardian of
Peter's flock of sheep. Taleh, the
littlest lamb, was her favorite. One
night an angel appeared to Peter
and his flock announcing, "You
will find a Babe wrapped in
swaddling clothes, lying in a
manger." Peter realized he had
nothing to give, but as Adina
whispered an idea, he placed at
the feet of the Baby
Jesus his beloved Taleh.
CARMEL, PRAYING ANGEL
Carmel often wondered how she
earned her wings so quickly. This
awareness led Carmel to prayer.
On the day of our Savior's birth, she
felt herself pulled to those in prayer
next to Mary as she offered her
thanksgiving at the birth of Jesus.
Carmel realized every time she
was brought to someone in prayer,
those prayers would lead her
back to the Newborn King.
THE LITTLEST ANGEL
All of the angels had a gift
for the Newborn King,
even the Littlest Angel
always knew what her gift
would be. She would appear
to Him with a book in her
hands and sit beside the
manger and read stories.
Baby Jesus would listen with
rapt attention until His eyes
grew too heavy. Once
asleep the Littlest Angel
would close her book and
wait for the next opportunity
to share her stories again.
LITTLE SHEPHERD ANGEL
The little angel was always the first
to volunteer when assignments were
made. "Congratulations, you have
your first assignment," said the seraphim
to the little angel. "Watch this
lamb well, and you will go onto bigger
things." "I'll do my best," pledged
the little angel, and joyously sped to
Earth. The lamb was tiny, coat was
thin and ragged, and its head hung
low. Seeing this, the angel was moved
with pity. Over time, the lamb's coat
filled in, and it stayed pure and white.
No longer did the lamb look at the
ground most of the time. . .
SELA, ANGEL
Sela was among heaven's littlest
angels. She had newly earned
her wings and had not yet been
assigned any duties. One night,
Sela was called by name and sent
to the stable behind Bethlehem's
Inn. She raced to the stable and
just as the angels had predicted,
there she found the Christ Child
where the other angels carried
out their duties. Sela watched
the scene unfold and heard a
voice tell her to go with them.
Sela was devoted to the
lambs and found her gift to
care for them.
