<strong>RUST</strong> contributor Tom Sagar decided, after<br />

representing Team GB for many years, that it<br />

was time to fly the flag for Wales! Along with<br />

team-mates Jamie lewis and Jason Thomas,<br />

the trio put in a stellar job all week long,<br />

coming out with second place in Club –<br />

beaten only by a heavily supported Italian<br />

squad of Monni, Facchetti, and Macoritto.<br />

The ‘Welshies’ outrode the likes of USA’s<br />

Cody Webb, competing in his first ISDE, and<br />

SuperEnduro champion Ty Tremaine as well<br />

as a raft of strong French Club teams.<br />

By Day 3, the heat had dissipated and the<br />

08:00 starters were shrouded in a chilly mist.<br />

This made the brand new tests, all of which<br />

were held on grassy fields, slippery and<br />

unpredictable.<br />

The assembled crowds were treated to some<br />

spectacular sliding from the World’s best, and<br />

the event finally seemed to be back on its feet<br />

following a rough couple of days. Home<br />

favourites France extended their lead in<br />

Trophy as well as Junior, but the latter had<br />
