3.1 Site And Geotechnical Investigation<br />
The site and geotechnical investigation department has carried out investigations for<br />
thousands of diverse projects and clients in the Middle East. Regardless of the size of the project,<br />
all <strong>ACES</strong> projects are approached with the expertise, technology and equipment required to meet<br />
the client’s needs.<br />
<strong>ACES</strong> maintains modern drilling, soil-rock sampling, field and laboratory testing<br />
equipment in conformance with relevant standards.<br />
The scope of services of the site and geotechnical investigation department is:<br />
1. On-shore & off-shore drilling.<br />
2. Field testing and geotechnical sampling.<br />
3. Soil and rock laboratory testing.<br />
4. Geotechnical studies for various types of structures, such as buildings, roads, dams, and<br />
retaining structures.<br />
5. Geological survey including geological and geotechnical mapping.<br />
6. Investigation, monitoring and analysis for slope stability.<br />
7. Geophysical studies.<br />
8. Installation and monitoring of field geotechnical instrumentation.<br />
9. Comprehensive services for quality control, supervision, verification for geotechnical<br />
work i.e. drilling, CPT, excavation, slope stability monitoring, ground improvement ..etc.<br />
10. Factual and interpretative geotechnical reporting.<br />
