Non-Aligned Movement represents the largest collective voice of
the developing nations. NAM has constantly stressed upon the
need for the smooth functioning of various UN mechanisms and
body. NAM calls for respecting the principles of international
law and in this context, has stressed the important role played
by the International Court of Justice.
As regards the UN Peacekeeping Mission, the Movement has
called for periodic reviews of such mission and to adapt and
devise such mission taking country specific situations into
account.
The Movement not only articulates the political aspirations of
the developing world in the international order, but also focuses
on issues such as environment and protecting biodiversity.
