The International News Weekly BOLLYWOOD November 10, 2017 | Toronto 20 Actress Ihana Dhillon: 'Hate Story 4' is not a love triangle Indo-Asian News Service MUMBAI: Actress Ihana Dhillon, who is making her Bollywood debut with upcoming film "Hate Story 4", says it's based on a real-life incident. "It is not a love triangle, it is a revenge story. This is a thriller movie, like the previous parts, but this part is different as the story is based on a true incident. That is probably the reason I was excited to work on the film," Ihana said here on the sidelines of a promotional photo shoot on Tuesday. "I can't tell you much, but I am playing the role of a corporate girl in the film. My role is performance-based and I am really excited about it," she added. The fourth instalment of the "Hate Story" franchise is directed b y Vishal Pandya. The movie also features Urvashi Rautela, Karan Wahi, Vivan Bhatena and Gulshan Grover. It is being shot in London. On the London schedule, Ihana added: "Shooting of 'Hate Story 4' is almost complete. I think 90 per cent of the movie is complete. I have finished my London schedule and I just got back to Mumbai. "The shooting experience has been great. The entire team was great. I enjoyed working with director Vishal Pandya, and he is amazing and very nice human being. He is very talented too."About her costars, she said: "I am working with Urvashi Rautela. She is a nice human being. Then we have Vivan Bhatena, Karan Wahi and Gulshan Grover. The whole team and the entire crew were very nice and I felt great." Ihana also refuted rumours about catfights due to constant comparisons between her and Urvashi. "I could never do catfights, it is not possible. There is no comparison as our characters are totally different. I am playing a corporate girl and she is playing a supermodel, so there is no comparison. "Both the characters are totally opposite. I got along with Urvashi very well, we enjoyed working together. All the actors were like a family on the sets." The movie is slated to release on March 2, 2018. Actors should be shameless, says Vidya Balan Agencies NEW DELHI: Actress Vidya Balan says it is very important for an actor to be shameless and fearless. "It is very important for an actor to be shameless, should have no apprehensions, fearless and be 'bindass'," said Vidya when she joined singer Tulsi Kumar to announce Gulshan Kumar Film & Television Institute of India (GKFTII) here. On the film front, Vidya is looking forward to her film "Tumhari Sulu". The story of "Tumhari Sulu" -- releasing on November 17 -- revolves around a middle-aged ordinary housewife Sulochona aka Sulu who is a happy-go-lucky person with an extraordinary calibre. Directed by Suresh Triveni, the film tells the story of how the housewife, who lives with her husband and son, tries hard to add spice to their lives. For Vidya, "Tumhari Sulu" is a happy film. "People are saying that it is a slice of life film and tells story of a middle class family... Sulu is a very energetic woman who wants to try everything once. After watching the film, people will leave the theatre with a smile," she said. Vidya is not bothered about numbers. "If a film wins hearts then it is a hit, and if the producers get back their money and it earns some profit then it is a super hit," the actress said while talking about the 'Rs 100 crore' club. Vidya, who is married to producer Siddharth Roy Kapur, also had a message for all those who want to enter showbiz. "There's no one way to be successful. You have to find your own path to success. And self-confidence is the biggest qualification for success in any field." Nicki Minaj's brother convicted in rape case Agencies MINEOLA (New York): The brother of rapper Nicki Minaj has been convicted of predatory sexual assault after being charged with repeatedly raping an 11-year-old girl at his Long Island home. Jurors delivered their verdict Thursday in Jelani Maraj's trial. The charges carry the potential for 25 years to life in prison. Maraj is 38. The girl is now 14. She testified she was repeatedly assaulted over eight months in 2015 at Maraj's home in Baldwin. Prosecutors say DNA evidence supports the allegations. The girl's younger brother testified that he witnessed one assault. Maraj's lawyers said the rape allegations were concocted by the girl's mother as part of a scheme to get Nicki Minaj to pay $25 million in hush money. Neither Maraj nor his rapper sister testified. I can beat anyone in the world, says woman boxer Mary Kom Agencies NEW DELHI: Having won gold at the Asian Championships after returning to her favourite 48 kilogram category, star Indian boxer M.C Mary Kom asserted that she can defeat any opponent as long as she is fit. "If I am fit, nobody can touch me. Nobody can beat me easily. As long as I am training hard and my body is fit, I can beat anyone, bring it on," the five-time world champion told the media here on Thursday. Mary Kom, who had won five World Championship titles in the 48kg category, could not compete in the division for the last five years as it was not included in the Olympic programme. Instead, she was compelled to compete in the 51kg division, in which she claimed a bronze medal at the 2012 Games in what was the maiden appearance for women's boxing at the Olympics. However, the 34-year-old asserted that she was not nervous when she took the ring at the Asian Championships to make a comeback to the 48kg category after a lengthy hiatus. "I was not nervous. I am never nervous. I was in good shape," Mary Kom said. "Making a comeback was not a big challenge for me because I had played in the 48kg category before. I have already been a five-time the bat. Comprising the likes of youngsters Dipsan Tirkey, Kothajit Singh, Surender Kumar, Harmanpreet Singh and Varun Kumar, India's backline lacked experience. So, the 31-year-old Sardar, who returned to the national team after being dropped for the tour to Europe last month, was placed in the defence. "We felt that Sardar Singh is a more experienced player. He can come up with long passes and he can control the ball and hold the ball better than other players. That's why we shifted him to the back line. Moreover, because he is an experienced player, he can guide the team from behind. That is why the coach felt that he will be better in defence," Manpreet told IANS. The Manpreet-led Indian players, who were playing under the newly appointed coach Sjoerd Marijne, displayed their temperament and skills in the meet to win the title. India won all the three pool matches to advance to the next round at the top of their group. In the Super-4s stage, India played a 1-1 draw against South Korea and won the two other matches. They defeated Malaysia 2-1 in the final to clinch the trophy. When asked about his experience under the new coach, Manpreet said every team member is comfortable with him. "The new coach is a nice person and is very friendly with the team. Everyone is comfortable with him. If they want to share anything with him, they can open up to him and talk," Manpreet said. "He always tells us that 'players drive and coaches assist'. He always encourages us to talk to him so he can help us. So it's very good that he encourages the players. "Even during the game if anyone makes mistakes on the field he always motivates them, never puts anyone down. He is a very positive person; even during tense moments he never shouts," he added. Manpreet, who is also a Red Bull athlete, credited the teamwork they displayed in the tournament which helped them to win the title. "We won the Asia Cup because of teamwork. Everyone gave his best and made India proud. It has also motivated us for the upcoming tournaments," he said. When asked about the secret behind his performance, the 25-year-old midfielder said: "I have been using Red Bull even before during matches as it keeps me going while I play. Proud to be a part of the Red Bull family."
