The Supplemental Silver Eagles
Coins the U.S. Mint kept secret for over 2 years!
The American Silver Eagle coins have been released every year from 1986 through this year 2017. The San
Francisco mint was the first to mint bullion coins from 1986 to 1999. The West Point mint also produced the coins
from 1988 to 1998. From 2001, they have been minted only in the West Point mint. Or so it was thought!
The recent Freedom of Information Act filed by a numismatic journalist, has brought forth information that the San Francisco
and Philadelphia mints have also produced the American Silver Eagle coins between 2014 and 2017. The U.S mint revealed that almost 17 million
American Silver Eagles have been minted in Philadelphia from 2014 to 2017, out of which only 79,640 were minted in 2015. The only distinguishing
factor for these coins (as they don’t have a Mint mark) are the 5-digit serial numbers on the green monster boxes beginning with the number 1. The
only way to confirm if it is an authentic Philadelphia mint Silver Eagle is to send in one of these sealed monster boxes to a grading service. Once the
sealed strap is broken, however, the Silver Eagles become indistinguishable and can no longer be certified authentic.
2015 (P) Silver Eagle - MS70 2015 (P) Silver Eagle - MS69
As stated above, the only way to
confirm an authentic Philadelphia
Mint Silver Eagle is to send in an
entire sealed monster box with
the designated serial numbers.
We were fortunate to have some
of these monster boxes however
given the coins had already been
out for some time, MS70 coins
were few and far between. The
small handfull that did grade
out we put in our custom label
showing the 79,640 total mintage
number. Get in on these before
they are gone for good and add a
true rarity to your collection.
033263 $3000
While almost indistinguishable
to the naked eye from the MS70,
the MS69 coins fortunately
graded out in a slightly higher
quantity and therefore we
are able to offer at a more
affordable price. The MS70 is
certainly the pinnacle in grading
perfection but that is not to
say one grade lower at MS69
is not an incredibly lofty grade.
Particularly for a coin that had
been out of a certified holder
for over 2 years before being
discovered. These MS69 coins
are still some of the rarest in the
series so get yours today!
Silver Eagle Date Run Set
Silver Eagles were first struck in 1986, when the
American Eagle program began. The obverse
features Adolph A. Weinman’s beloved Walking
Liberty design, displaying a flag-draped Lady
Liberty walking with an outstretched, welcoming
right arm and a left hand holding the olive
branches of peace. In the background is the sun
and its rays. The design was first used on the
Walking Liberty Half Dollar, which was minted
between 1916 and 1947. The reverse features a
Heraldic Eagle designed by then Chief Engraver John
Mercanti.
44 Years of Mint Sets 1965 - 2008
Since 1947, the United States Mint has created annual sets of uncirculated
coins for collectors known as Mint Sets. These popular sets provide collectors
with one example of each coin issued for circulation. Amidst a few interruptions
and several changes in format, this popular offering for collectors
continues to the present day.
Some sets are particularly noteworthy since they contain coins not issued for
circulation. This includes the 1970 Mint Set, which includes the 1970 -D Kennedy
Half, and later sets issued in 1973 and 1981 that include non-circulating
dollar coins. The 1996 Mint Set included the 1996 -W Roosevelt Dime struck
at the West Point Mint—a coin found only in the sets for the 50th anniversary
of the coin series.
From 2005 to 2010, the United States Mint has used a special satin finish for
coins included in the annual Mint Set. Along with particularly low mintage, this
adds another unique aspect to the sets.
Classic American Gold
Saint Gaudens $20 Double Eagle
Introduced in 1907 is one of the favorites among collectors. Designed in collaboration with President Roosevelt and
sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens, depicting Lady Liberty striding forward on the obverse and a breathtaking eagle in
flight on the reverse.
Liberty Head $5
One of the longest lasting denominations in United States history. Half eagles would go on to see almost continuous
production from 1795 to 1929, and throughout their life, they would not only be used in trade, but – in preference to
almost any other gold coin – would popularly be found in Christmas stockings! The obverse design features Liberty’s
hair tied in a bun and secured by a string of beads. She wears a coronet in her hair inscribed with the word LIBERTY.
Liberty Head $2.5
Issued in 1840 through 1907 the Coronet quarter eagle was struck at five different mints: Philadelphia (no mint mark),
Charlotte (C), Dahlonega (D), New Orleans (O), and San Francisco (S). Throughout this series of gold coins there are
some with legendary status, as well as a large number of dates or mint marks with scarce issues.
Liberty Head $20 Double Eagle
Born in the era of the great California Gold Rush (1850-1866). The $20 Liberty Head was one of the largest circulating
gold coins. The coins were produced at the Philadelphia Mint from 1850 through 1865, at the New Orleans mint from
1850 through 1861, and the San Francisco Mint from 1854 through 1866. The San Francisco coins of 1866 were the
last of the design, and were also issued as part of the type 2 series, with the new motto IN GOD WE TRUST.
Type III Indian Princess Gold Dollar
First made its appearance in 1849 at a mere thirteen millimeters in diameter. This was more than one-fourth smaller
than our present day Roosevelt dime! Which caused many American’s to grumble as losing a dollar back then
represented losing a day’s pay. In 1856, the mint created the Type III $1 coin with a larger, flatter portrait. The coin
features a female figure commonly described as an “Indian Princess”.
Indian Head $10 Eagle
Regular issued coins were struck at all three Mints (P, D, and S) from 1908 through 1911, and again in 1914. Only
Philadelphia and San Francisco Mints struck eagles in 1912, 1913, and 1915. Only San Francisco Mint struck them in
1916 and 1920. The portrait of Liberty seen on coins of this type originally was designed by sculptor Augustus Saint-
Gaudens as a bust of the Nike head used on New York City’s monument to General William T. Sherman. At the request
of President Roosevelt, Saint-Gaudens adapted this splendid bust for the $10 piece with the addition of a Native
American headdress.
Type I Liberty Head $1
Introduced in 1849 and the California gold rush provided the spark. During their six years of production, Type 1 gold
dollars were struck at five different mints - Philadelphia (no mint mark), Charlotte (C), Dahlonega (D), New Orleans (O),
and San Francisco (S) – but only the Philadelphia and Dahlonega mints issued them every year. San Francisco made
them only in 1854, while Charlotte and New Orleans made them every year except 1854.
Big Five
Gold Coins
Tanzania Big Five - Lion
The African Lion are the second largest big cat species
in the world, tigers being the first. The average
male lion weighs around 400lbs while the average
female lion weighs around 290lbs. Lions are very
social compared to other cat species, often living
in prides that feature females, offspring and a few
adult males. Lions can reach speeds of up to 50
mph but only in short bursts. Male lions are easy to
recognize thanks to their distinctive manes, and live
for 10 to 14 years in the wild and up to 20 years in
captivity. Lionesses are better hunters than males
and do most of the hunting for a pride. The natural
predator for lions is humans.
033685 $59.95
1/2g Gold Set
The famous Big Five refers to five of Africa’s
greatest wild animals - the Lion, Leopard, Elephant,
Rhino, and Buffalo. The term “Big Five”
was originally coined by hunters, and referred
to the five most difficult animals to hunt on
foot in Africa. The Big Five wasn’t chosen for
their size, but rather for the difficulty in hunting
them, and the degree of danger involved.
The term is still used today in most tourist and
wildlife guides, and are usually high on the
priority list for many a visitor to African game
reserves.
The obverse of each features the Tanzania
coat of arms. Tanzania’s coat of arms is
composed of a man and woman supporting
a warrior’s shield and elephant tusks. The
shield is divided into four sections: the first
depicts a burning torch (symbolizing enlightenment,
knowledge and freedom), the second
is the national flag, the third a crossed axe
and hoe, and the fourth contains wavy bands
of blue representing the land and sea. The
shield is set upon a representation of Mount
Kilimanjaro features the phrase “Uhuru na
Umoja”, meaning Freedom and Unity, the official
motto of Tanzania. Each reverse features
one of the Big Five animals of Africa: Lion,
Elephant, Leopard, Rhino or Cape Buffalo
against the backdrop of their natural African
habitat. Reverse inscriptions include the series
name, date, weight and purity. Specially
manufactured using polished dies and selected
planchets (blanks), to give the desired
mirror effect; they are typically struck at least
two times or more. These coins rarely enter
circulation.
Each proof coin contains .9999 pure gold!
Tanzania Big Five - Elephant
The African Elephant is the largest mammal in
the world, weighing up to 12,000 pounds and
standing 10 feet tall! They are remarkable adaptable
and live in woodlands, forests, deserts and
grassland; spread across countries in sub-Saharan
Africa. With over 2,000 elephants living in
the Serengeti National Park, you are sure to see
them while on safari. The demand for ivory led to
a dramatic decrease in elephant numbers, especially
during the 1970’s and 1980’s. A ban on all
ivory trade has helped stabilize the population to
around 600,000 in the last decade. But poaching
is still a major issue, especially in parts of Africa
where there is political instability. The African elephant
is listed as vulnerable by the IUCN Red
List of Threatened Species.
033687 $59.95
Tanzania Big Five - Buffalo
The African Buffalo, also known as the Cape
buffalo, is the only species of wild cattle that
can be found in Africa. Herds usually consist
of females, their offspring and one or more
males. Males that are not part of the herd can
form bachelor herds, or live a solitary life. It
is easy to distinguish the males from females;
male buffalos are typically larger, darker and
possess large horns that are joined in the middle
of their head called a ‘boss’. Although buffalos
are non-territorial, they will fight amongst
each other for rank and females. The impact
of the African buffalo’s bosses is estimated
to rival that of a car hitting a wall at 31 miles
an hour. Cape buffalos are four times stronger
than an ox and can weigh between 660 and
1900 pounds.
033688 $59.95
Tanzania Big Five - Leopard
The African Leopard, is the smallest animal of
the Big Five. It is distinguished by its beautiful,
black-spots called rosettes. Leopards are
solitary creatures that only spend time with
others when they are mating or raising cubs.
They are also nocturnal and spend their nights
hunting, and sleep during the day. They can
adapt to most environments and can survive
in both warm and cold climates. Leopards are
carnivores (meat-eaters), but are not particular
about their prey. They have been known
to hunt animals like antelopes and deer, all
the way down to rodents, birds and even fish.
An excellent climber, leopards often drags its
prey up trees to hide it from scavengers such
as hyenas. Leopards can run up to 36 miles
per hour; leap over 20 feet and jump up to 10
feet! Leopards are listed as vulnerable by the
IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
033689 $59.95
Tanzania Big Five - Rhino
The Rhino is the most endangered species
of the Big Five! The two species of rhino’s
in Africa are the Black rhino and White rhino,
although they do not differ much in color.
The name White rhino comes from the Dutch
word ‘weid’, which means wide and refers to
its square mouth. The name Black rhino may
have been derived from the dark mud they
wallow in to help reflect the sun, and unlike
the White rhino it has a hooked lip. Rhinos
have poor vision and will sometimes attack
trees and rocks by accident. However, their
hearing and sense of smell are excellent,
making up for their poor eyesight.
5oz Silver Quarters
Our Nation’s most treasured national
parks and sites – majestic places that truly
make us “America the Beautiful” – are
represented in a 5oz pure silver quarter
series that started in 2010. This series is the
first five-ounce, .999 fine silver bullion coins
ever produced by the United States Mint.
The 5oz quarters are exact duplicates – only
much larger – of the America the Beautiful
Quarter series that started in 2010 and will
go through 2021.
The obverse of the quarter features
George Washington based on the portrait
created by John Flanagan for the 1932
Washington Quarter. The reverse of each
quarter features the National Park or
Site that is being honored that year. The
United States Mint created two types of
these 5oz quarters, one being the bullion
coin that comes in a tube of 10 coins. The
second is the “Uncirculated” coin that
features a P symbol representing the
Philadelphia Mint, with a certificate
of authenticity and housed
in Original Government
packaging.

BU Silver Proof Album
15839 $899.95
These complete sets of Statehood and U.S. Territory Quarters
are a remarkable way to collect the most popular coins in U.S.
Mint history – as top quality PROOFS! If you have never seen or
held a proof coin, you are in for a real treat. The coins are simply
dazzling!
The State and Territory proof quarters are produced through a
specialized minting process. The coins are struck multiple times
from polished and treated coin blanks. The raised design elements
of proof coins appear frosted and sharply defined against
the intense mirrored-like backgrounds. Proof quarters are minted
exclusively at the San Francisco Mint and carry the “S” mint
mark. The Clad proof quarters are a very limited mintage with an
average of three million of each State. The Silver proof quarters
are less than half of that number mintage.
These sets include all 11 years in the U.S. Mint quarter program
– 56 coins in all! Both the album and the lenses provide great
ways to protect and display this incredible collection; a collection
Since it’s inception 1999, the state quarter program
has started more collectors on their numismatic
journey than any other program before it. It
really began at the end of 1997 when President
Clinton signed Public Law 105-124 authorizing
the State Quarters Program. Under the United
States Mint Director Philip N. Diehl, an innovative
program intended to honor each of the 50 states
was planned. The series was scheduled to release
5 quarters each year starting in 1999 in the order
each state ratified the Constitution or were admitted
to the Union. The reverse of each quarter
displayed a picture honoring the particular State.
On January 4, 1999 the Delaware Quarter was released,
displaying Caesar Rodney on horseback
who notably rode 80 miles to cast the deciding
vote in favor of independence.
Rare 3-Coin U.S. Cent Collection
14895 $119.95
Own these rare U.S. coins from the 1800’s! One of the first coins
struck at the U.S. Mint was the Large Cent in 1793. The Two
Cent coin is an unusual denomination that first appeared in 1864,
during a period of coin shortages caused by the Civil War. The
Three Cent coins first appeared in 1851 to facilitate the purchase
of postage, which at the time cost 3 Cents. A great collection!
Giant U.S. Copper Cent
7354 $49.95
Cents and half cents were the first coins struck for circulation under
the authority of the U.S. Government. In the mid 1800’s these
giant coins were melted by the millions for their copper content
and most have been lost to the world forever! These rare coins
are coveted by collectors and this is a rare opportunity to own
a beautiful specimen guaranteed to be over 145 years old.
Ten Coin Indian Head Cent Set
22467 $24.95
Here’s a chance to snap up a set of 10 Indian Head one-cent coins
produced by the United States Mint from 1859 through 1909. The
obverse of these coins shows United States of America, and an Indian
head facing to the left, wearing a feather bonnet. The word Liberty is
shown on the band across the bonnet, with the production date below.
1909 3-Penny Set
17604 $39.95
The year 1909 takes a unique place in U.S. coin history; it is the first
and only time that three different coinage designs were minted and
released into circulation. With this set you get the last of an era: the
1909 Indian Head Cent, the coin that caused a public furor: the 1909
VDB Lincoln Cent with coin designer Victor David Brenner’s prominent
initials, and the 1909 Lincoln Cent with the VDB initials removed.
Bag of 500 “Wheat Ears”
805 $79.95
The Lincoln Penny was first struck in 1909 to honor the 100th anniversary
of Abraham Lincoln’s birth and until 1958, the back featured the beloved
“wheat ears” design. This bag of 500 original Wheat Ears Lincoln Pennies
is a great way to start your own collection. You may even find scarce dates
and mint marks! Coins are in average circulated condition. Dates will vary.
Ten Coin Steel Penny Set
$4.95
22466
During WWII, the U.S. Government melted many coins for their use in the war
effort, and this temporarily changed the way coins were minted. In 1943, the
penny was made out of steel rather than copper. Each of these “steelies” feature
a profile of President Abraham Lincoln on the obverse, and the legendary “wheat
ears” design on the reverse. Coins are in average circulated condition.
Ten Coin Buffalo Nickel Set
$12.95
22465
Also known as the “Indian head” nickel, this coin is a copper nickel five cent piece
struck by the U.S. Mint from 1913 to 1938. It was designed by sculptor James
Earle Fraser. The image on the obverse of the coin is actually a composite of several
Native Americans, and the bison on the reverse of the coin is rumored to have been
modeled after Black Diamond, a resident of the Central Park Zoo in the early 1900’s.
Ten Coin Roosevelt Dime Set
$44.95
22464
Following his death in 1945, the dime was chosen to honor Franklin D
Roosevelt. The dime honored Roosevelt partly due to his efforts in the
founding of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis (later renamed the
March of Dimes) and through 1964 the dimes were struck in .900 silver.
Ten Coin Mercury Dime Set
$44.95
22463
Although this coin is commonly called the “Mercury” dime, it is in fact the
Winged Liberty Head dime and the figure on the obverse is a representation
of Liberty. These coins have not been produced in over 60 years, and are
harder to find with each passing day! Minted between 1916 and 1945, the
wings crowning her cap are intended to symbolize the liberty of thought.
Ten Coin Barber Dime Set
$59.95
22462
Barber or Liberty Head dimes were minted between 1892 and 1916 and are
composed of .900 silver. They were designed by Charles E. Barber, Chief Engraver
of the Mint, who also designed the twenty, five, and fifty-cent pieces. His initial B is
at the end of the neck of the image of Liberty on the obverse. The dime featured a
wreath of American agricultural products with the words “ONE DIME” in the center.
Ten Coin Standing Liberty Quarter Set
22461 $199.95
These coins were struck by the U.S. Mint from 1916 to 1930 in .900 silver. The original
design of the coin was the subject of some controversy. The design was modified in
1917 to cover Liberty’s exposed breast, and the reverse received a new arrangement
of the stars, with the eagle moved higher. In 1925 the design was altered again when a
depression was made in the pedestal on which Liberty stands and that bears the date.
Ten Coin Kennedy Half Dollar Set
23465 $14.95
The Kennedy half dollar, first minted in 1964, is the only fifty cent coin issued by the
United States Mint. Intended as a memorial to the assassinated President John F.
Kennedy, it was authorized by Congress just over a month after his death. Despite
the fact that these coins are still being struck, their circulation is extremely limited.
Ten Coin Franklin Half Dollar Set
22460 $199.95
This coin was the last half dollar minted in .900 pure silver during its entire run from 1948-
1963. It’s the first circulating coin to feature a real person other than a U.S. President—
Founding Father Benjamin Franklin. The reverse features the Liberty Bell. This Franklin half
dollar was short-lived and disappeared to make way for the 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar.
Ten Coin Liberty Walking Half Dollar Set
22458 $219.95
One of America’s most beautiful and most sought-after coins. Adolph Weinman’s “Liberty
Walking” was issued from 1916-1947 and has been out of circulation for 60 years! The
design features a full-length figure of Liberty, progressing in full stride toward the dawn
of a new day, carrying branches of laurel and oak, symbolical of civil and military glory.
Ten Coin Barber Half Dollar Set
22459 $219.95
These coins were designed by Charles E. Barber, Chief Engraver at the U.S.
Mint from 1879-1917 and minted from 1892-1915. Also known as Liberty Head
Half Dollars, all Barber Coinage saw very heavy and long term use in daily commerce
and consequentially, most surviving examples are heavily worn.
Ten Coin Sacagawea Dollar Set
$49.95
23464
Sacagawea is the Shoshone Indian guide who appeared on the scene of
history in 1804 to assist Lewis and Clark on their momentous expedition
west. The Sacagawea Dollar was introduced in 2000 as the new circulating
dollar coin of the United States of America. These coins have a copper
core clad by manganese brass, giving them a distinctive golden color.
Ten Coin Susan B. Anthony Dollar Set
$49.95
23463
Minted from 1979 to 1981, and again in 1999, Susan B’s depict women’s suffrage
campaigner Susan B. Anthony. It was the first circulating U.S. coin with
the portrait of an actual woman rather than an allegorical female figure such
as ‘Liberty’. The reverse depicts an eagle flying above the moon (with the
Earth in the background), a design adapted from the Apollo 11 mission insignia
that was also present on the previously issued Eisenhower Dollar.
Ten Coin Eisenhower Dollar Set
$24.95
23462
Issued from 1971-1978 these coins were designed to honor both President
Dwight D Eisenhower and the first landing of a man on the moon. This
was the last dollar coin to contain a proportional amount of base metal to
low denomination coins; it has the same amount of copper-nickel as two
Kennedy half dollars, four Washington quarters, or ten Roosevelt dimes.
Ten Coin Morgan Dollar Set
$429.95
22457
Minted intermittently from 1878 to 1921, the Morgan Silver Dollar is one of the most
collected coins in the hobby! It’s big (one and a half inches in diameter), and made of
90% silver. The coin is named after its designer George T. Morgan, and his initial M is
found at the end of the neck of the portrait Lady Liberty on the obverse of the coin.
Ten Coin Peace Dollar Set
$429.95
22456
The Peace Dollar was first minted in 1921 to commemorate the end of World
War I and the peace that followed. It was the successor to the popular Morgan
Dollar. Peace Dollars were last minted in 1935, and at the height of the Great
Depression, millions of these coins were melted for their silver content. This is a
rare chance to own 10 examples of the only coin to display the word “PEACE”.
Presidential Dollar Coin Fact:
In 2007 & 2008 the Presidential Dollars were designed
with the words "In God We Trust", "E Pluribus Unum",
the date and the mint mark on the edge of the coin. This
however created an enormous uproar among the collecting
community since "In God We Trust" is traditionally on the
obverse of a coin and many people thought it was left off entirely.
As a result, in 2009 "In God We Trust" along with the date were
moved to the front of the coin thus creating two different design
types throughout the series.
033695
Jerusalem is commonly translated to meaning The City of Peace. Originally settled some six thousand
years ago, Jerusalem was established as the capital of the Kingdom of Israel by King David
circa 1002 BCE, according to Biblical tradition, Jerusalem is considered sacred ground by the three
major Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Despite having an area of 0.9 square
kilometers, Jerusalem’s Old City is home to some of the most important religious sites on earth: the
Temple Mount and its Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Dome of the Rock, and
the al-Aqsa Mosque.
Roman Probus - ngc XF
033694 $89.95
Probus’s six-year reign is impressively long, given that
Probus delivered Gaul from the ravages of the Germans,
pursued them across the Rhine, and everywhere defeated
them. His operating theory was that soldiers should
never be idle, even in times of peace, and employed them
in various useful works such as building roads and canals
in Egypt, and planting vineyards in Gaul. The soldiers di
not appreciate being used as slaves, and in 282, they
proclaimed a new emperor and put Probus to death. The
Age of Chaos, also known as the Crisis of the Third Century,
was a 50 year period of extreme political and economic
volatility that almost
saw the disintegration of
the might Roman Empire.
The coinage suffered and
bronze replaced silver as
the metal used. This genuine
ancient Roman bronze
coin was struck during
the reign of Probus. The
obverse portrays the Emperor,
while the various
reverses feature mythological
and military themes.
Alexander III Kingdom Set
033676 $429.95
The Macedonian King Alexander III “the Great” (336-323 B.C.) ranks high among the conquerors
in the history of the world. He was hailed a god in his own lifetime, and after his death
he was worshipped for centuries. In Roman times his tomb was still a locust of worship, with
emperors traveling great distances to gaze upon him even five centuries or more after his
death. Alexander’s most enduring accomplishment was his exportation of Greek culture to the
Near East – regions today comprised of many nations, including Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and
Pakistan. He achieved this by leading his Greek army through the region, as far as the border
of India, after which he settled at his new court at Babylon. In addition to his prolific military
prowess, one of Alexander’s many achievements was the establishment of a single currency
across his vast empire. These coins replaced the wide variety of local issues with an official,
imperial coinage. We have the great fortune to offer a small quantity of these Silver Drachms,
struck in high relief and in nearly uncirculated condition. The obverse of this brilliant About
Uncirculated Drachm features the head of Hercules facing right, wearing lion skin headdress.
Roman Crispus - ngc
033693 $79.95
Crispus was the oldest son of Constantine
the Great. Crispus, named Caesar at the
age of 17 and given control of the Gallic
lands, proved himself in battles with the
Goths. This made Crispus extremely popular
among the Roman people. They said
he was a worthy heir to Constantine, which
only made Constantine fear and eventually
hate his son. This genuine ancient Roman
bronze coin was struck during the reign of
Constantine. The obverse portrays Crispus,
while the reverses feature various mythological
and military themes.
Russian 5 Kopecks
032898 $49.95
Kopecks are large, heavy copper coins. They
were produced under the reign of Catherine II
(The Great), 1729-1796. The coins we are offering
now were struck in the period from the
1760’s through the 1790’s – about the same
time as the US Independence! Well circulated,
each coin sports a strong, bold date. Add
this amazing collectable that was made over
200 years ago to your collection today!

Currency
Collection
The unique thing about currency is how much harder it can
be to collect than coins. Since coins are made from metal
they can withstand the test of time much more so than the
delicate paper that notes are printed on. So to be able to find
a note from the early 1900’s in Fine or Very Fine condition
is truly a well deserved addition to anyones collection!
1899 $1 Silver Certificate (Black Eagle), VF
18673 $279.95
This 1899 $1 Black Eagle Silver Certificate prominently displays an eagle with
his wings spread, printed in black ink on the obverse. This is the only piece of
U.S. currency ever issued which displays the portraits of 2 different presidents—
Lincoln and Grant—two giants of 19th century American history.
1907 $5 Legal Tender Note (Woodchopper), Fine
11475 $299.95
The last $5 “Horse Blanket” note, so named because of its large size. One of
the most popular currency issues of all time. The intricately engraved vignette
of “The Woodchopper” is the central feature of the note, which also shows an
engraving of Andrew Jackson.
1917 $1 Legal Tender Note, VF
24436 $199.95
The last large-sized legal tender bank note ever issued and referred to as a
“Horse blanket” note. The obverse features Washington and a vignette of
Columbus sighting America. The reverse shows a “sawhorse” design.
1914 $10 Federal Reserve Note, Fine
24437 $159.95
This classic note is rarely seen and makes a great addition to any collection.
The reverse features farming and industry and symbolizes American power and
ingenuity. Includes a bold, blue Federal Reserve Bank seal on the front. These
are part of the last series of large—size “Horseblanket” notes.
1923 $1 Silver Certificate, VF
22934 $79.95
Silver Certificates once represented a key United States currency form and were
backed by actual silver in the Federal Reserve. These notes were the first and
only large-size notes with a standardized design for different types of the same
denomination; this same concept would later be used on small-size notes.
1935 or 1957 $1 Silver Certificate, VG/VF
12772 $9.95
A silver certificate is a type of U.S. paper money that was redeemable in silver.
These notes, issued between 1928 and 1963, were printed in denominations of
$1, $5 and $10. They are easy to spot because they have distinctive blue Treasury
seals and blue serial numbers, which is why collectors often call them “blue seal
notes” or “blue seals.”
1953 or 1963 $2 Red Seal Note, VG/VF
12770 $14.95
Red Seal notes were backed only by the credit of the U.S. government, despite
that fact that they were issued at a time when money was redeemable for gold
or silver. These notes had a red treasury seal and red serial numbers. Red Seal
notes were issued in $1, $2, $5 and $100 denominations.
1917 $2 Legal Tender Note, VF
033770 $229.95
This 1917 $2 Legal Tender Note is only the second $2 bill in history, but it is often
times the first $2 bill collectors will own! All notes feature the red seal, and are
an asymmetrical design. The $2 bill features a portrait of Thomas Jefferson and
an old picture of the Capitol building. Be sure to pick up your own $2 bill today!
1901 $10 “Bison” Legal Tender Note, Fine
18668 $1399.95
This could be the most popular large size United States note. In 1901 we were
introduced to the redesigned of the $10 note, featuring the Bison on the back. It was
recorded that the famous bison Black Diamond was the model for this note. After
further research it was found that a stuffed bison displayed at the Smithsonian in the
late 19th century, was the actual inspiration for the engraving.
1899 $5 “Chief Note” Silver Certificate, Fine
18674 $1299.95
The 1899 $5 silver certificate is especially popular among collectors. The
certificate displays a portrait of a Native American in full headdress. The Native
American depicted on the 1899 $5 bill, is actually chief Running Antelope, giving
this the nickname “Chief Note”.
1918 “Green Eagle” Federal Reserve Bank Note, Fine
033771 $229.95
This note was issued only in series 1918! Inscribed with National Currency, it is
the first and only large size $1 note issued by the Federal Reserve Bank. The
back design of this note features a large eagle in flight in the center. Giving it the
“Green Eagle” nickname.
2017 Enhanced Uncirculated Set
Certified PERFECT EU70 by ANACS with matched labels and numbered to only 1863!
The Enhanced Uncirculated coin finish was created as a result of a customer feedback to the U.S. mint about some
Proof coins. The frosting on Proof coins against mirrored fields seemed to affect the visibility of certain design elements
in the coin. After a complete study at the Philadelphia mint, the mint officials found out that the issue was not in the
design but rather in the way light was absorbed on the Proof coins’ frosting surface. To overcome this, the mint came
up with a new kind of coin finish called the Enhanced Uncirculated finish.
The Enhanced Uncirculated coin finish has lighter frosting or selectively frosted surfaces to contrast with the brilliantly
polished or unpolished fields. This selective frosting and polished/unpolished finish can bring out certain designs in the
coin better than in Proof coins.
For the U.S. Mint’s 225th anniversary Enhanced Uncirculated set, the coins have laser frosted areas and an unpolished
field that accentuates design details creating a unique contrast distinctly different from the mirror-like finish of proof
coins. These certified sets are matched numbered to only #1863 and will be gone before you know it so don’t miss out
and get yours today!
