Thankfully his second attempt was much more<br />
successful and his exit into the water didn’t look<br />
quite as painful, moreover we had a couple of<br />
potential keepers! It was getting on, so it was<br />
agreed he’d have one more attempt then we’d<br />
call it a day as he wanted to get back to York for<br />
some family time and I still had to get back to<br />
South Shields. I couldn’t have asked for more on<br />
the final attempt, all sponsors, which including<br />
Kokatat, VE Paddles and or course Loco Surfing<br />
would be kept VERY happy with these stills.<br />
After a couple of obligatory lifestyle shots we<br />
both scaled K2 and headed back to the car park<br />
to de-mud before heading off to a little café in<br />
Keld for a well-earned brew and caramel<br />
shortbread, which is highly recommended if<br />
you’re ever up in that neck of the woods.<br />
Destruction testing at its finest for our standard<br />
construction all-round iSUP, which looked as new<br />
when it went back in the bag and a new contact<br />
with a fellow water nut – so no complaints.<br />
‘<strong>Fall</strong>s cherry’<br />
I’m told I’ll get to pop my ‘falls cherry’ next time<br />
it rains, so I’m amped for that and I’m hoping<br />
Sam will also introduce me to some standing<br />
waves, where I can show him what I can do.<br />
