This workshop is about preserving your family history, one memory at<br />
a time. With the help of your teacher, coach and mentor you will learn<br />
to jar those faded memories loose, then compose, organize, preserve<br />
and share them electronically for future generations. Jackie Devine<br />
loves working with active writers and people who have never tried<br />
to write! This course will help you understand the memoir writing<br />
process: story structure, scenes, dialogue, character development,<br />
tone and voice. You’ll learn that you are creating a legacy. If desired,<br />
stories will be recorded and saved online where family and friends<br />

Advent & Christmas Events<br />
“Joy to the world the Lord has come...” this is the good news celebrated<br />
during the Christmas season by young and old alike. Cornerstone United<br />
Methodist Church will be providing a number of celebration opportunities<br />
during the month of <strong>December</strong>:<br />
• Sunday, <strong>December</strong> 3rd at the 10:45 AM service, the Youth Choir will be<br />
bringing special music while at both the 8:30 and 10:45 AM services the<br />
Chancel Chimes will be performing their Christmas music. At the 9:35<br />
AM worship service, the Journey Praise Band will be leading worship<br />
with celebrative music. At all three services, Holy Communion will be<br />
celebrated and Dr. Dave Meadows will be bringing an inspiring Advent<br />
message.<br />
• Sunday, <strong>December</strong> 10th at 10:45 AM, the Children’s choirs will be presenting<br />
their Christmas Musical entitled: “The King & Me.” At the 9:35<br />
AM worship service, the Journey Praise Band will be leading worship<br />
with celebrative music. At both the 8:30 and 9:35 AM services, Dr. Dave<br />
Meadows will be bringing an inspiring Advent message.<br />
• Saturday, <strong>December</strong> 16th, the Children’s Ministry Team will be sponsoring<br />
a special children’s event, “Breakfast with Santa,” from 9-10:30<br />
AM that will include pictures with Santa, face painting, donuts, crafts<br />
and other family friendly activities.<br />
