Felipe Novoa
SALES MANAGER
info@antuko.com
Felipe is Chilean, married, and father of three daughters. He is a Civil
Industrial Engineer with over 10 years of experience in the electric market.
Before joining Antuko, he worked in major companies in the Distribution,
Transmission and Generation segments.
What products or services does your company deliver and to what kind(s) of
NCREs?
Antuko has three main activities: market consultancy: long-term energy price
projections and other consultancy jobs related to financing and business
operation of NCRE projects; energy trading (or energy marketing), and Asset
Management of generation centrals with different technologies, both in the SIC
and in the SING.
Which have been the latest new services or changes introduced by your
Company?
During the last year, Antuko opened offices in Mexico and Spain, where it carries
out Consultancy and Energy Trading activities.
What are the main projects -or themes- you have been recently working on
concerning NCRE or the environment? In case they are generation plans, where
are the located and which are their main characteristics?
We have recentrly advised many local and foreign customers in quantitative
consultancy: income and cost projections for utility scale plants and PMG/PMDs,
energy marketing risk evaluation; business operation management of NCRE
plants, and purchase/sale of operational plants and projects, technical, financial
and legal advisory services.
Which elements characterize and/or distinguish your company?
We are a young, innovative and multidisciplinary team, with solid experience in
different markets, and highly specialized in new technologies: NCRE, Storage,
and more globally, Smart Grids. Since its creation, Antuko has believed in NCRE
penetration in the national electric system, and, therefore, we have a deep
understanding of the NCRE projects’ needs and peculiarities.
How important is NCRE participation in the Chilean electric system?
NCRE’s participation is a reality in Chile, and has brought huge benefits in
accomplishing a more sustainable and diversified power matrix. But it also has
challenges. We must be able to educate the regulator, the Banks, and the
stakeholders about the benefits and challenges posed by the NCRE to the electric
system and to the general development of the country.
Why would you recommend being an ACERA member?
As an ACERA member, a company may settle in the electric sector, get to know
the actors, be up-to-date with all the market’s news and, most of all, be a part of
the changes that affect the sector. In addition, we appreciate the working tables
organized by ACERA, as a real driving force that allows a good integration of
NCRE within the electric system.
Tristan Wallbank
SALES MANAGER
Tristan is a New Zealander, married to a Chilean, and has three daughters.
He is a Mechanic Engineer with an MBA in Engineering Management, and
What products or services does your company deliver and to what kind(s) of
NCREs?
The presence of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, accross the value chain,
includes the design, fabrication and installation of wind turbines -onshore and
offshore-, as well as advanced services solutions.
ç
In April 2017, the fusion of Gamesa with Siemens Wind Power became effective,
and gave birth to a global leader in the wind industry, with a presence in over 90
countries, industrial capacity in the main wind markets, and a 75 GW installed
base.
What are the main projects -or themes- you have been recently working on
concerning NCRE or the environment? In case they are generation plans, where
are the located and which are their main characteristics?
We are currently working in the construction of the Cabo Leonés I wind farm, of
115 MW, which has 55 G114-2.1 MW wind turbines, in the coast zone between La
Serena and Huasco. Each turbine has a 114 m rotor and 2.1 MW of power, with
a hub height of 80 m. At the beginning of 2017, we completed the delivery and
installation of wind turbines for a 112 MW wind farm in the Calam. Before this,
and under an EPC contract, at, we finished the construction of the second phase
of San Pedro on the island of Chiloe, with 5.0 MW turbines.
Which elements characterize and/or distinguish your company?
With our wind turbines we can meet the needs of the customers, covering
different kinds of winds and markets, and contributing with the reduction of power
cost.
How important is NCRE participation in the Chilean electric system?
In the current context, it is essential to promote and ensure renewable energy
sources that guarantee long-term resource sustainability. In this sense, Siemens
Gamesa looks forward getting a cleaner, surer and more accessible energy closer
to all over the world.
Why would you recommend being an ACERA member?
ACERA is definitively an opportunity to foster NCRE’s development in Chile from
the renewable sector itself, whose actors share a common agenda and goals.
