Sister of Notre Dame de<br />
Namur, always living a life<br />
that shows she practices<br />
what she preaches. The<br />
faces and names of those<br />
she influenced, came to<br />
know, and grew to love and<br />
who returned her love,<br />
changed through the years<br />
but she remains the same:<br />
steady, clear and true.<br />
Bishop Fenwick High School will long<br />
know the name of Sr. Geraldine Burns and<br />
long feel gratitude for her decades of<br />
dedication and love.<br />

Hundreds of Fenwick’s community<br />
responded immediately. At a reception in<br />
her honor at Fenwick in June, upwards of<br />
$70,000 had already been raised; gifts<br />
continue to be received by the school<br />
reflecting the lasting impact Sr. Geraldine<br />
had upon Fenwick students.<br />

continue her legacy and to help ensure<br />
that deserving students can take<br />
Across the long expanse of life, those of<br />
us eager to learn how to live to the fullest<br />
and be the best we can be, need to see<br />
people who demonstrate what it means to<br />
do the work we're meant to do and be the<br />
people others follow until they find<br />
themselves. Sister Geraldine is one of<br />
those people. And the most treasured<br />
part of Sister Geraldine's story is that she<br />
chose to share all that living, 12,000 days<br />
of it, with the students, faculty and staff of<br />
Bishop Fenwick High School.<br />
