This is a unique opportunity for an excellent practitioner, who wishes to follow an alternative career<br />
path to progression into SLT. This post will ensure that you remain grounded in the classroom,<br />
focused on relationships with your children whilst having the opportunity to spread your excellent<br />
practice and support and enable others. The position will be centrally employed and managed<br />
through the central team, however will involve both in school responsibilities and trust wide<br />
deployments. The post holder will be deployed to a targeted school, taking on classroom<br />
responsibility and providing lead practitioner support across the school to develop the quality of<br />
teaching and learning. This targeted school will be agreed on a bi-annual basis based on your<br />
geographical availability. This provides an exciting opportunity to experience and impact on a range<br />
of schools. The role has the potential to include further opportunity to work with and support other<br />
schools, be involved in the design and delivery of CPD and to work across our outstanding teacher<br />
training provision, Inspiring <strong>Lead</strong>ers teacher training.<br />

Role model outstanding practice in the school you are deployed to- fulfilling full<br />
responsibilities of a class teacher for part of the week.<br />
Provide coaching and mentoring support to staff across your deployed school.<br />
Provide coaching and mentoring support to targeted staff across the trust.<br />
Develop a robust understanding of the use of teaching support and improvement plans.<br />
Model lessons for observation purposes to help others develop.<br />
Where appropriate contribute to SLT meetings within your deployed school, with a focus on<br />
driving the quality of teaching and learning.<br />
Working with the ‘leader of teaching and learning’ contribute to the trusts vision for<br />
teaching and learning.<br />
Design and deliver CPD as part of the SCITT, Teaching School and Trust professional<br />
continuum.<br />
Stay up to date on research, policy changes and national thinking, and disseminate across<br />
the trust.<br />
Ensure continuous communication with the CEO, Deputy CEO, Directors of QA, fellow lead<br />
practitioners, schools across the trust and key partners.<br />
A commitment to engage in continuous professional development, ensuring a deep<br />
understanding of your subject area, national thinking and national policy.<br />
