Welcome
Thank you for your interest in the post of Headteacher at Leamington Primary Academy, part of the Flying
High Partnership.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of wonderful children and staff. At Leamington Primary
Academy our motto is, ‘Relentless in our strive for excellence’ as we aim to become the best school in the
universe. We aim to recruit a Headteacher that can support us to realise this ambition, working alongside
a fantastic team and a supportive partnership.
After a period of significant change, leading to Leamington Primary Academy joining the Flying High
Partnership in January 2017, the school has been on a rapid journey of improvement. Through the
guidance of an interim Executive Headteacher, the support of the highly successful Flying High Academy
Ladybrook and the support of the wider Flying High Partnership the school has in place all the foundations
to be highly successful. We have no doubt that with the right Headteacher this school can deliver fantastic
outcomes and experiences for all children and provide significant support to families and the wider
community.
Our NOR has now reached 420 with numbers rising steadily as the reputation of the school has improved
and demand has increased. The school moved into a brand new build in September 2016. This new
building is blessed with fantastic resources and facilities for all children. Interested applicants are
encouraged to visit the school and you will soon discover the pride and care that staff and children give to
their wonderful learning environments.
We seek an ambitious Headteacher who shares our values and ambitions, and who has the vision, drive,
resilience and experience to build on our success to date and continue our journey to deliver outstanding
learning experiences to all children. The successful candidate will need to be outward facing to establish
a strong relationship with parents and the local community and have the ability to share and learn from
best practice whilst knowing how to exploit the partnership opportunities we have within the MAT.
As part of a MAT and teaching school this opportunity provides the chance for significant development
and the opportunity for continued career progression.
This is an incredibly exciting time for Leamington Primary Academy and a real opportunity to be part of
many future successes as we continue to move forward on this rapid journey.
We look forward to receiving your application.
Our School
At Leamington Primary Academy our motto is, ‘Relentless in our
strive for excellence’ and this is an integral part of our vision and
ethos. We have eight principles to ensure our school is a fun,
nurturing, caring, safe place with high aspirations and standards
in all we do - so that children and staff can thrive!
The children are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure
that they are happy, confident and that the opportunities that
are provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and
for the future.
Through our engaging curriculum, we ensure that children can
foster a passion for learning and curiosity that will help to develop
high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. We believe in
ensuring that children receive a well-rounded curriculum, where
individual talents can be spotted and nurtured to ensure that all
children experience success and reach their full potential.
The school has a dedicated team that works hard to reach high
standards in everything we do and this is further embedded
through our successful relationships with parents, the local
community and the other schools in the Flying High Partnership.
We firmly believe that education is a partnership between home
and school and regard all parents as active partners in their
child's education.
“Being a part of Leamington Primary
Academy is much more than ‘going to
work every day’. We are more than just
educators; we are the best role models,
champions and motivators. The staff at
school are like family. They are supportive,
inspirational and kind. Every day with the
children is filled with love and laughter. I
feel grateful to work at such an inclusive
and friendly school. At Leamington the
ordinary moments become perfect
memories”
Sammie Peacock, F2 Teacher
“Surrounding yourself with people who are all striving to become the best is
what makes Leamington Primary Academy a special place to be. At
Leamington we are one team, working together in partnership with parents to
embrace and shape the future of our children. Putting children at the centre
of everything we do, everyone inspiring and supporting each other to make
every day count is what we are about. Coming to work is a pleasure, it's a
place where the best memories are made”
network teams in key areas such as teaching & learning, English, maths, SEND, pupil premium, PE,
assessment and science.
though sporting competitions, a children’s parliament, arts events, our joint inset day and annual awards
ceremony. There are also opportunities for governors, school business managers and site managers to
work together through focus groups and local boards.
ensure all schools shape development at this level of governance.
