A new world-class National Aquatics Centre was nearing<br />

completion at press time, intended to be a hub for<br />

local sports including water polo and diving, as well as<br />

to attract international swim events as part of a sports<br />

Tennis<br />

Tennis is a vibrant sport in <strong>Trinidad</strong>, especially at junior<br />

level. There are public courts at Nelson Mandela Park<br />

in St Clair; and courts for hourly rental at the <strong>Trinidad</strong><br />

Country Club (Maraval) and some hotels. Reservations<br />

are needed to use public courts. Also as part of the nation’s<br />

sports tourism thrust, a National Tennis Complex<br />
