There are even zero percent financing programs available for qualifying homeowners. Scheduling a free in-home assessment through Mass Save will help put a plan in place to improve the efficiency of the home’s HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems. We want to encourage homeowners to get this done right away because there is no guarantee Mass Save will continue into 2018.” Mass Save, an energy-conscious initiative in the Massachusetts area, can help get homes up to date with their heating equipment for the winter season by way of rebates for replacement, zero percent loans for energy efficient improvements, and even free in-home energy assessments. Sponsored by area natural gas and electric utilities as well as local energy efficiency service providers, Mass Save is a great place to start when considering home improvements. The rebates offered by Mass Save are excellent methods of reducing the significant costs of whole-unit replacements. Some of these rebates include: • Natural gas furnaces and boilers: Up to $3,500 • Propane furnaces and boilers: Up to $3,500 • Oil furnaces and boilers: Up to $1,900 • Electric heat pumps: Up to $1,000 • Water heaters: Up to $800 • Mini-split heat pumps: Find Out Why More Buyers Go With #1 Up to $300 per unit In addition to these rebates, Mass Save’s HEAT Loan is a great way to bring an entire home up to date and stay financially responsible. The HEAT Loan offers zero percent financing for qualified energy efficiency improvement projects up to $25,000. Making improvements of this magnitude will usually result in monthly energy savings that will more than pay for the improvements in time.
